小儿头疮，是由于脏腑内有热邪，热气上冲至头部，又受到风湿之邪侵袭，湿热相互搏结，损伤气血所致。
治疗小儿头疮，经久不愈的松脂膏方：
松脂（一两半）、川大黄（一两）、苦参（一两，锉碎）、黄连（一两半，去须）、胡粉（一两）、黄芩（一两）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用腊月猪油调和，研磨至水银星点消失。装入瓷盒中。每次使用时，涂抹于疮口，效果显著。
治疗小儿头上生恶疮的方子：
人粪灰（半两）、狗粪灰（半两）、猪粪灰（半两）、皂荚灰（半两）、香豉（半两，炒至微焦）、白矾（半两）。
以上药物，捣细过筛成散剂。每次使用时，根据疮口大小，用生油调匀后涂抹，每日更换一次，以痊愈为度。
治疗小儿头疮久治不愈，恶汁流出不断的方子：
黄连（一两，去须）、黄柏（一两，锉碎）、白矾（一两，烧成灰）、蛇床子（半两）、胡粉（三分）。
以上药物，捣细过筛成散剂，用熬熟的猪脂调成膏状。每日涂抹两次，有效。
治疗小儿头疮及恶疮的方子：
香豉（二合）、麻油（二合）、臭黄（半两）、葱白（四两，切碎）。
以上药物，先将麻油煎熟，加入香豉等药，熬至冒烟，捣烂后贴敷于疮上，用物品严密包裹，有效。
另一首方子：
黄连（一两，去须）、吴茱萸（半两，生用）、腻粉（半两）、杏仁（半两，汤浸去皮）、麻油（一合）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，加入麻油和杏仁一同研磨成膏。每次涂药时，先用盐水浆清洗疮口，擦干后涂抹于疮上。
治疗小儿头疮久治不愈的青砂散方：
水银（一分，用少量枣肉研磨至星点消失）、硫黄（一分）、狗头骨（半两，烧成灰）、川椒（一分，去目）、腻粉（一分）。
以上药物，捣细过筛成散剂，将水银研入其中使其均匀，用生油调匀后涂抹，立即见效。
治疗小儿头上生恶疮、疳疮、软疖，均宜敷用的胡粉散方：
胡粉（一分）、黄连（一两，去须）、糯米（二十一粒）、赤小豆（十四粒）、吴茱萸（半分）、水银（一分，与胡粉同研至星尽）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用麻油调和诸药，搅拌均匀后涂抹。
治疗小儿赤疮，遍布头面及胸部成片，旁人无法识别的，宜用水银膏方：
水银（一两）、松脂（一两）、腻粉（一分）、土蜂窝（一两半）、黄柏（一两半，锉碎）、川大黄（一两）。
以上药物，除水银和腻粉外，其余捣碎过筛成粉末，用炼成的猪脂半斤，煎制成膏，质地如稀面糊，放凉后，加入水银和腻粉，搅拌均匀。
治疗小儿头疮经久不愈，痊愈后又复发的，宜用雄黄膏方：
雄黄（一两，细研）、雌黄（一两，细研）、黄柏（一两）、黄芩（一两）、姜黄（一两）、白芷（一两）。
以上药物，除雄黄和雌黄外，其余全部细锉，用头醋浸泡一夜，用猪脂一斤，煎煮候白芷颜色变为赤黄色，膏成就成。
治疗小儿头疮的紫草膏方：
紫草（二两，去无色皮，捣末）、马肠根（一两，捣末）、杏仁（一两，汤浸去皮，研碎）、吴茱萸（一分，捣碎）。
以上药物，先用麻油在干净的铛内煎煮，下入杏仁和茱萸，慢慢煎煮三沸，即离火，用生绢过滤，使药液均匀。
治疗小儿头疮久治不愈，瘙痒且不长痂的藜芦膏方：
藜芦（二两）、黄连（二两，去须）、白矾（五两，烧至汁液流尽）、雄黄（二两，细研）、黄芩（一两）。
以上药物，除雄黄和松脂外，其余捣碎过筛成粉末，用猪脂一斤，放入铫子内，熬令熔化，用绵布过滤，加入药末，搅拌均匀。
治疗小儿遍头生疮的水银膏方：
水银（一两）、胡粉（一两或二两，加少量水与水银同研至星尽）、松脂（四两或二两，细研）、猪脂（半斤）。
以上药物，先煎猪脂令其熔化，去渣，下入松脂，接着下水银和胡粉，不停地用柳枝搅拌使其均匀，膏成就成。
治疗小儿头疮及白秃疮的鸡子膏方：
新鸡蛋（二枚或七枚，去壳）、腻粉（半两）、麝香（一分，细研）、妇人油头发（一团，如鸡蛋大小）。
以上药物，先将鸡蛋放入铫子内熬煮，接着放入头发令其熔化，用绵布过滤，加入腻粉和麝香，搅匀，装入瓷盒中。
治疗小儿头疮出脓水，痊愈后又复发的黄连散方：
黄连（五两，去须）、水银（二两）、乌贼鱼骨（二两，烧至赤色，锉碎）。
以上药物，除水银外，捣细过筛成散剂。另取白蔹末一两半，加少量水，与水银同研至星尽，与前药混合。
另一首方子：
豆豉（一两，微焦）、皂荚（一挺，长约三寸，烧成灰）、鳖甲（一两，烧成灰）、腻粉（一分）。
以上药物，捣细过筛成散剂。每次使用时，用生油调匀后涂抹，立即见效。
另一首方子：
杏核（一百枚，烧成灰）、腻粉（一分）。
以上药物，细研成散剂。每次使用时，用生油调匀后涂抹。
另一首方子：
水银（半两）、黄连末（一两）、胡粉（半两）。
以上药物混合，加少量水，研磨水银至星尽，用生油调匀后涂抹。
治疗小儿头疮久治不愈的方子：
梁上尘（五合）、青矾（半分）。
以上药物，细研成散剂。每次使用时，用生油调匀后涂抹。
治疗小儿头疮，白天流出脓水，夜晚即愈合的，宜用此方：
大附子（一枚，去皮脐，捣罗成末）、鲫鱼（一枚，长四寸者）。
以上药物，将附子末填入鲫鱼肚中，在炭火上烤至焦黑，细研后敷于疮上，再烂捣蒜泥，封盖在上面。
另一首方子：
乱发（一团，如梨大小）、鸡子黄（五枚）。
以上药物混合，放入铫子中，用炭火熬至头发熔化，用绵布过滤，装入瓷盒中，涂抹于疮上。
另一首方子：
用黑豆一合，炒至存性，捣罗成末，用水调匀后涂抹。
治疗小儿头疮，积年不愈的方子：
取槟榔，水磨，用纸衬垫晒干，用生油调匀后涂抹。
另一首方子：
用鸡子壳烧成灰，细研，用腊月猪脂调和涂抹，有效。鸡粪炒成末敷用，也很好。
另一首方子：
用吴茱萸，炒至焦黑，细研，加入腻粉，用猪脂调匀后涂抹。
另一首方子：
用虎脂，敷于疮上可愈。
Head sores in children are caused by heat within the Zang-Fu organs, with heat qi rushing upward to the head, compounded by invasion of wind-dampness. The damp-heat contends and damages the blood and qi.
**Songzhi Ointment for Treating Persistent Head Sores in Children:**
Pine Resin (1.5 liang), Rhubarb (1 liang), Sophora Root (1 liang, crushed), Coptis Rhizome (1.5 liang, whiskers removed), Lead Carbonate (1 liang), Scutellaria Root (1 liang).
Crush and sieve the above ingredients into powder. Mix with lard rendered in the twelfth lunar month, grinding until the mercury stars disappear. Store in a porcelain box. Apply to the sore as needed; this is effective.
**Prescription for Malignant Sores on the Head of Children:**
Human Feces Ash (0.5 liang), Dog Feces Ash (0.5 liang), Pig Feces Ash (0.5 liang), Soap Pod Ash (0.5 liang), Fermented Soybean (0.5 liang, stir-fried until slightly scorched), Alum (0.5 liang).
Grind and sieve the above ingredients into a fine powder. For use, mix with raw sesame oil according to the size of the sore and apply. Change once daily until healed.
**Prescription for Persistent Head Sores with Continuous Discharge of Malodorous Fluids in Children:**
Coptis Rhizome (1 liang, whiskers removed), Phellodendron Bark (1 liang, crushed), Alum (1 liang, calcined to ash), Cnidium Fruit (0.5 liang), Lead Carbonate (3 fen).
Grind and sieve the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with rendered lard to form an ointment. Apply twice daily; this is effective.
**Prescription for Head Sores and Malignant Sores in Children:**
Fermented Soybean (2 he), Sesame Oil (2 he), Orpiment (0.5 liang), White Part of Green Onion (4 liang, finely chopped).
First, fry the sesame oil until hot. Add the fermented soybeans and other ingredients, boil until smoke rises, then mash and apply to the sore. Wrap tightly with material; this is effective.
**Another Prescription:**
Coptis Rhizome (1 liang, whiskers removed), Evodia Fruit (0.5 liang, raw), Calomel (0.5 liang), Apricot Seed (0.5 liang, soaked in water, skin removed), Sesame Oil (1 he).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Add sesame oil and apricot seeds, grind together into an ointment. Before application, wash the sore with salt water, dry it, and apply the ointment.
**Qingsha Powder for Persistent Head Sores in Children:**
Mercury (1 fen, ground with a small amount of jujube flesh until stars disappear), Sulfur (1 fen), Dog Skull Bone Ash (0.5 liang), Sichuan Pepper (1 fen, eyes removed), Calomel (1 fen).
Grind and sieve the above ingredients into a fine powder. Incorporate the mercury and grind until uniform. Mix with raw sesame oil and apply; immediate effect is expected.
**Hufen Powder for Malignant Sores, Pruritic Sores, and Soft Boils on the Head of Children:**
Lead Carbonate (1 fen), Coptis Rhizome (1 liang, whiskers removed), Glutinous Rice (21 grains), Adzuki Bean (14 grains), Evodia Fruit (0.5 fen), Mercury (1 fen, ground with lead carbonate until stars disappear).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Mix with sesame oil to blend uniformly and apply.
**Shuiyin Ointment for Red Sores Covering the Head, Face, and Chest in Patches in Children:**
Mercury (1 liang), Pine Resin (1 liang), Calomel (1 fen), Earth Honeycomb (1.5 liang), Phellodendron Bark (1.5 liang, crushed), Rhubarb (1 liang).
Except for mercury and calomel, crush and sieve the remaining ingredients into powder. Render half a jin of lard and boil into an ointment with a consistency like thin paste. Cool, then add mercury and calomel, mixing uniformly.
**Xionghuang Ointment for Recurrent Head Sores in Children:**
Realgar (1 liang, finely ground), Orpiment (1 liang, finely ground), Phellodendron Bark (1 liang), Scutellaria Root (1 liang), Turmeric (1 liang), Angelica Dahurica Root (1 liang).
Except for realgar and orpiment, finely chop the remaining ingredients. Soak in first vinegar overnight. Render one jin of lard and boil until the Angelica Dahurica root turns reddish-yellow. The ointment is ready.
**Zicao Ointment for Head Sores in Children:**
Arnebia Root (2 liang, remove colorless skin, grind to powder), Horse Intestine Root (1 liang, grind to powder), Apricot Seed (1 liang, soak in water, remove skin, grind), Evodia Fruit (1 fen, grind).
First, heat sesame oil in a clean pan. Add apricot seeds and evodia fruit, simmer gently for three boils, then remove from heat. Filter through raw silk to obtain a uniform liquid.
**Lilu Ointment for Persistent Itchy Head Sores Without Crusting in Children:**
Veratrum Rhizome (2 liang), Coptis Rhizome (2 liang, whiskers removed), Alum (5 liang, calcined until juices run out), Realgar (2 liang, finely ground), Scutellaria Root (1 liang).
Except for realgar and pine resin, crush and sieve the remaining ingredients into powder. Render one jin of lard in a pot until melted, filter through cotton cloth, and add the medicinal powder, mixing uniformly.
**Shuiyin Ointment for Widespread Head Sores in Children:**
Mercury (1 liang), Lead Carbonate (1–2 liang, mixed with a little water and ground with mercury until stars disappear), Pine Resin (2–4 liang, finely ground), Lard (0.5 jin).
First, render the lard until melted, remove dregs, add pine resin, then add the mercury and lead carbonate mixture. Stir continuously with a willow twig until uniform. The ointment is ready.
**Jizi Ointment for Head Sores and White Tinea Capitis in Children:**
Fresh Chicken Egg (2–7 eggs, shell removed), Calomel (0.5 liang), Musk (1 fen, finely ground), Woman's Greasy Hair (one ball, size of an egg).
First, cook the eggs in a pot. Then add the hair and melt it. Filter through cotton cloth. Add calomel and musk, mix uniformly, and store in a porcelain box.
**Huanglian Powder for Suppurating Head Sores That Recur in Children:**
Coptis Rhizome (5 liang, whiskers removed), Mercury (2 liang), Cuttlefish Bone (2 liang, calcined until red, crushed).
Except for mercury, grind and sieve the remaining ingredients into a fine powder. Separately, take 1.5 liang of Bletilla Rhizome powder, add a little water, and grind with mercury until stars disappear. Mix with the previous powder.

Fermented Soybean (1 liang, slightly scorched), Soap Pod (one pod, approx. 3 cun long, calcined to ash), Turtle Shell (1 liang, calcined to ash), Calomel (1 fen).
Grind and sieve into a fine powder. For use, mix with raw sesame oil and apply; immediate effect is expected.

Apricot Pit (100 pits, calcined to ash), Calomel (1 fen).

Mix the above ingredients, add a little water, grind mercury until stars disappear, mix with raw sesame oil, and apply.

Dust from Roof Beams (5 he), Green Vitriol (0.5 fen).
Grind finely into a powder. For use, mix with raw sesame oil and apply.
**Prescription for Head Sores That Suppurate by Day and Heal by Night in Children:**
Large Aconite Root (one piece, peel and remove umbilicus, grind to powder), Crucian Carp (one fish, approx. 4 cun long).
Fill the aconite powder into the belly of the carp. Roast over charcoal fire until charred. Grind finely and apply to the sore. Mash garlic thoroughly and seal over the application site.

Tangled Hair (one ball, size of a pear), Egg Yolk (5 pieces).
Mix the above ingredients, place in a pot, and render over charcoal fire until the hair melts. Filter through cotton cloth, store in a porcelain box, and apply to the sore.

Burn horse hooves to ash, grind finely, mix with raw sesame oil, and apply.
