阴疝，是由于肾气虚弱，遭受风冷邪气侵袭，邪气流入肾经，无法宣散所致。阴疝主要有四种类型：有肠疝，有卵疝（睾丸肿胀）。
治疗阴囊肿大，适宜服用白蒺藜丸方。
白蒺藜（二两半，微炒后去刺） 熟干地黄（二两半） 鹿茸（二两半，去毛，涂酥炙至微黄） 白蔹（二两） 续断（一两） 巴戟天（一两半，去心） 牛膝（一两，刮去皱皮，酒浸，焙干）
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末，加入已研细的药材混合均匀。用炼蜜调和，捣杵五七百下，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次在空腹时及晚间进食前，用温酒送服三十丸。
治疗阴疝核状肿块、肿胀疼痛，适宜服用黄柏丸方。
黄柏（二两，锉碎） 桃仁（二两，汤浸去皮尖及双仁，麸炒微黄） 山茱萸（二两） 五加皮（二两） 槟榔（半两） 五味子（四两半） 肉苁蓉（一两，酒浸，削去黑皮，切，焙干） 石南叶（一两）
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末。用炼蜜调和，捣杵三五百下，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次在空腹时及晚间进食前，用温酒送服三十丸。
治疗阴疝肿痛，适宜服用桃仁丸方。

以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末。用炼蜜调和，捣杵三二百下，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每日在空腹时及晚间进食前，用温酒送服三十丸。
治疗阴疝偏侧肿大，适宜服用此方。

以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末。用炼蜜调和，捣杵五七百下，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次在进食前，用温酒送服三十丸。
治疗肾虚引起的阴疝，伴有腰膝冷痛、阴囊肿痒，适宜服用狐阴丸方。
狐阴（一只，炙微黄） 木香（一两半） 白蒺藜（一两半，微炒去刺） 昆布（一两半，洗去咸味） 腽肭脐（一两） 菟丝子（一两半，酒浸，别研）
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末。用炼蜜调和，捣杵三五百下，制成绿豆大小的药丸。每次在进食前，用温酒送服二十丸。
又一方。
汉椒（一两，去目及闭口者，微炒去汗） 昆布（半两，洗去咸味）
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末。用酒煮面糊调和，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次在进食前，用冷椒汤送服十丸。
又一方。
狐阴（一只，炙微黄） 海藻（半两，洗去咸味） 牡丹（半两） 桂心（三分）
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末。用炼蜜调和，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次在进食前，用温酒送服十五丸。
治疗阴疝偏侧肿大疼痛，适宜服用天雄散方。
天雄（四颗，炮裂去皮脐） 桃仁（半斤，汤浸去皮尖，另研） 川楝子（三十枚） 胡芦巴（五两）
以上药材，用酒二斗，盛于银器中，煎煮七日七夜，晒干，捣细过筛成散剂。加入桃仁，研匀。每次在空腹时，用温酒送服二钱匕。
治疗阴疝偏侧肿大，气胀肿胀，适宜服用防风散方。

以上药材，捣细过筛成散剂。每次在进食前，用豆汁调下一钱。
治疗阴、卵偏大，有气上下胀肿，或行走时便发作肿大，适宜服用此方。

以上药材，捣细过筛成散剂。每次在进食前，用温酒调下二钱。
治疗因跳跃举重突然导致的阴疝，适宜服用此方。

Yin hernia (hernia of the genital region) is caused by deficiency of Kidney Qi, invasion by wind-cold pathogens, and the subsequent flow of these pathogens into the Kidney meridian, where they fail to disperse. There are four types: intestinal hernia (enterocele), and testicular hernia (scrotal swelling).
For treating scrotal swelling, Ba Ji Li Wan (White Tribulus Pill) is indicated.
Tribuli Fructus (2 liang 5 qian, lightly stir-fried and thorns removed) Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix, 2 liang 5 qian) Lu Rong (Deer Antler without Hair, 2 liang 5 qian, coated with butter and roasted until slightly yellow) Bai Lian (Ampelopsis Rhizoma, 2 liang) Duan Du (Dipsaci Radix, 1 liang) Ba Ji Tian (Morindae Officinalis Radix, 1 liang 5 qian, heart removed) Niu Xi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, 1 liang, wrinkled skin scraped off, soaked in wine, dried)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Mix with the already finely ground ingredients. Combine with refined honey and pound for five to seven hundred strokes. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills each time on an empty stomach and before evening meals, washed down with warm wine.
For treating hernial nodules, swelling, and pain, Huang Bo Wan (Phellodendri Cortex Pill) is indicated.
Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex, 2 liang, sliced) Tao Ren (Persicae Semen, 2 liang, soaked in water, skin and pointed ends removed, double-kernel bran-roasted until slightly yellow) Shan Zhu Yu (Corni Fructus, 2 liang) Wu Jia Pi (Acanthopanacis Cortex, 2 liang) Bing Lang (Arecae Semen, 0.5 liang) Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus, 4 liang 5 qian) Rou Cong Rong (Cistanche Deserticolae Herba, 1 liang, soaked in wine, black skin peeled off, cut, dried) Shi Nan Ye (Pyrrosiae Folium, 1 liang)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Combine with refined honey and pound for three to five hundred strokes. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills each time on an empty stomach and before evening meals, washed down with warm wine.
For treating hernial swelling and pain, Tao Ren Wan (Persicae Semen Pill) is indicated.

Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Combine with refined honey and pound for two to three hundred strokes. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills daily on an empty stomach and before evening meals, washed down with warm wine.
For treating unilateral scrotal enlargement, this prescription is indicated.

Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Combine with refined honey and pound for five to seven hundred strokes. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills before meals, washed down with warm wine.
For Kidney deficiency causing Yin hernia, accompanied by cold pain in the lower back and knees, and itching of the scrotum, Hu Yin Wan (Fox Genital Pill) is indicated.
Hu Yin (Fox Genitalia, one piece, roasted until slightly yellow) Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 1.5 liang) Tribuli Fructus (1.5 liang, lightly stir-fried and thorns removed) Kun Bu (Laminariae Thallus, 1.5 liang, washed to remove saltiness) Tan Na Qi (Ottonis Testis, 1 liang) Tu Si Zi (Cuscutae Semen, 1.5 liang, soaked in wine, separately ground)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Combine with refined honey and pound for three to five hundred strokes. Form pills the size of mung beans. Take twenty pills before meals, washed down with warm wine.
Another prescription.
Han Jiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, 1 liang, eyes and closed-mouth fruits removed, lightly stir-fried to remove oil) Kun Bu (Laminariae Thallus, 0.5 liang, washed to remove saltiness)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Use wine-boiled wheat paste to bind and form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take ten pills before meals, washed down with cold pepper soup.

Hu Yin (Fox Genitalia, one piece, roasted until slightly yellow) Hai Zao (Sargassum, 0.5 liang, washed to remove saltiness) Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex, 0.5 liang) Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus Cortex, 3 fen)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Combine with refined honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take fifteen pills before meals, washed down with warm wine.
For unilateral hernial swelling and pain, Tian Xiong San (Aconitum Lateralis Radix Preparata Powder) is indicated.
Tian Xiong (Aconitum Lateralis Radix Preparata, four pieces, processed until cracked, skin and navel removed) Tao Ren (Persicae Semen, half jin, soaked in water, skin and pointed ends removed, separately ground) Chuan Lian Zi (Toosendan Fructus, thirty pieces) Hu Lu Ba (Trigonellae Foenum-Graeci Semen, 5 liang)
Place the above herbs in two dou of wine in a silver vessel. Simmer for seven days and nights. Dry in the sun, grind finely, and sieve into powder. Add Tao Ren and mix evenly. Take two qian on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine.
For unilateral hernial swelling and qi-distension edema, Fang Feng San (Saposhnikoviae Radix Powder) is indicated.

Grind finely and sieve into powder. Take one qian before meals, mixed with bean juice.
For unilateral enlargement of the penis or testicles, with qi moving up and down causing swelling, or swelling triggered by walking, this prescription is indicated.
Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex, 0.5 liang) Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex, 0.5 liang) Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus Cortex, 0.5 liang) Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 0.5 liang, radix head removed)
Grind finely and sieve into powder. Take two qian before meals, mixed with warm wine.
For sudden onset of hernia due to jumping or lifting heavy weights, this prescription is indicated.

For unilateral descent of the testicle, this prescription is indicated.
