肉苁蓉（二两，用酒浸泡一夜，刮去皱皮，炙烤至干） 附子（一两，炮制裂开，去除皮脐） 巴戟（一两） 小茴香（一两，微炒去汗） 泻（一两） 芦头） 诃黎勒（一两，水飞过） 麝香（少许）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，全部研磨均匀。用炼蜜调和捣杵一千下。制成如梧桐子大的丸药。每天空腹时，用温酒送服三十丸。

肉苁蓉（用酒浸泡一夜，刮去皱皮，炙烤至干） 蛇床子 远志（去除心） 五味子 防风（去除芦头） 附子（炮制裂开，去除皮脐） 菟丝子（用酒浸泡三日，晒干后单独捣为末） 巴戟 杜仲（去除粗皮，炙烤至微黄，锉碎）
以上药物，各一两。捣碎过筛成粉末。用炼蜜和丸。大小如梧桐子。每天空腹时，用温酒送服二三十丸。
用盐汤送服也可以。逐渐增加至四十丸为限度。
Warm the Water Zang (Kidney). Treat deficiency and damage. Benefit Yuan Qi (Original Qi). Stop slippery and frequent urination. Formula for Muli Wan (Oyster Shell Pill).
Muli Fen (Oyster Shell Powder) (1 liang) Rongshong (Cistanche Herba) (1 liang, soaked in wine overnight, scraped to remove wrinkled skin, roasted until dry) Cishi (Magnetitum) (1 liang, calcined and quenched in vinegar seven times, finely ground, processed by water flotation) Mai Fu (Wheat Bran) (stir-fried until slightly yellow) (1 liang) Qu Reng (Remove pith) (1 liang) Jixing (Morinda Officinalis Root) (1 liang) Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Bark) (lightly stir-fried)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder. Mixed with jujube flesh to form pills, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Taken daily on an empty stomach, administered with salt water, 20-30 pills per dose. Gradually increase to 40 pills.
Treat Kidney deficiency and exhaustion. Long-standing coldness of the Bladder. Pain and heaviness in the waist and knees. Weakness of tendons and muscles. Formula for Rongshong Wan (Cistanche Pill).
Rongshong (Cistanche Herba) (2 liang, soaked in wine overnight, scraped to remove wrinkled skin, roasted until dry) Yuanzhi (Polygala Root) (1 liang, remove heart) Baji (Morinda Officinalis Root) (1 liang) Tusizi (Cuscutae Semen) (1 liang, soaked in wine for three days, split, peel removed, umbilicus removed) Niuxi (Achyranthes Bidentata Root) (1 liang, remove rhizome and closed-mouth specimens)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder. Mixed with refined honey, pounded 300-500 times. Formed into pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Taken daily on an empty stomach, administered with warm wine, 30 pills per dose. Gradually increase.
Treat long-standing coldness of the Lower Origin (Lower Jiao/Kidneys). Injury and exhaustion of the Water Zang (Kidney). Wind-deficiency consumptive disease. Loss of appetite. Long-term use preserves youthfulness. Improves beard and hair. Tonify Shen (Spirit) and benefit Qi.
Formula for Rongshong Wan (Cistanche Pill)
Rongshong (Cistanche Herba) (1 liang, soaked in wine overnight, scraped to remove wrinkled skin, roasted until dry) Shudihuang (Rehmannia Glutinososa Root, Prepared) (1 liang) Zhongru Fen (Stalactitum Powder) (1 liang) Tianxiong (Aconitum Carmichaelii Lateral Root, Processed) (1 liang, processed until cracked, remove head) Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) (1 liang) Niuxi (Achyranthes Bidentata Root) (1 liang, remove rhizome and closed-mouth specimens)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder. Mixed with refined honey, pounded 300-500 times. Formed into pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Taken daily on an empty stomach, administered with warm wine, 30 pills per dose.

Rongshong (Cistanche Herba) (2 liang, soaked in wine overnight, scraped to remove wrinkled skin, roasted until dry) Fuzi (Aconitum Carmichaelii Lateral Root, Processed) (1 liang, processed until cracked, remove skin and umbilicus) Baji (Morinda Officinalis Root) (1 liang) Xiangzi (Foeniculum Vulgare Fruit) (1 liang, lightly stir-fried to remove moisture) Xielian (Piper Longum Fruit) (1 liang) Helile (Terminalia Chebula Fruit) (1 liang, processed by water flotation) Shexiang (Moschus) (a small amount)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder, thoroughly mixed. Mixed with refined honey, pounded 1,000 times. Formed into pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Taken daily on an empty stomach, administered with warm wine, 30 pills per dose.

Rongshong (Cistanche Herba) (soaked in wine overnight, scraped to remove wrinkled skin, roasted until dry) Shechuangzi (Cnidium Monnieri Fruit) Yuanzhi (Polygala Root) (remove heart) Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (remove rhizome) Fuzi (Aconitum Carmichaelii Lateral Root, Processed) (processed until cracked, remove skin and umbilicus) Tusizi (Cuscutae Semen) (soaked in wine for three days, sun-dried, separately ground into powder) Baji (Morinda Officinalis Root) Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex) (remove coarse bark, roasted until slightly yellow, cut into pieces)
The above herbs, each 1 liang. Crushed, sifted into powder. Mixed with refined honey to form pills. Size of Sophora japonica seeds. Taken daily on an empty stomach, administered with warm wine, 20-30 pills per dose.
Administered with salt water is also acceptable. Gradually increase to 40 pills as the limit.
