[Chan Hua Wu Bi San (Cicada Flower Matchless Powder)]
Treats all wind-induced eye diseases in adults and children, whether recent or long-standing. This includes qi attacking the eyes, dim vision, the formation of "wind millet" (small granules similar to hordeola) on the eyelids, pain accompanied by membranes invading the eyeball causing visual obstruction, and unclear vision. It also treats chronic lateral or frontal headaches that牵搐 (pull and twitch) both eyes, causing them to gradually become small, along with redness and ulceration of the orbital area. If the pathology enters the eye, white membranes cover the pupil, and the eyes are red, dry, and suffer from dull pain, this formula treats all such conditions. Regular consumption expels wind, resolves nebulae, and brightens vision.
Ophidia Skin (Snake Slough) (lightly roasted, 1 liang) Cicada Slough (remove head, feet, wings, 2 liang) Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (wash, roast-dry) Shi Jue Ming (Haliotidis Concha) (roast with salt, 12 liang) [Note: Original text has omissions here].
