Calcined Halloysitum (a mineral drug calcined at high temperature, mainly composed of zinc carbonate) and Gypsum Fibrosum are mixed in equal proportions. Apply to the teeth daily; do not brush vigorously. With long-term use, the teeth will naturally become tight.
Rub the teeth with salted plum; when saliva flows out, the gaps between the teeth will open.
When a person is aging and begins to lose a tooth for the first time, take the fallen tooth, bake it on a tile until charred, grind it into fine powder, apply it to cover all remaining teeth in the mouth for half a day, and then swallow it. This can ensure that the remaining teeth never fall out.
For men, search from the center of the nasal bridge up to the vertex; for women, search from the posterior chest up to the vertex; for children, observe the webbing between the thumb and index finger (Hegu area). If blisters or red spots are found, puncture them immediately with a silver needle, and the tonsillar swelling (Tonsillitis) will rupture. Avoid exposure to fire or light during treatment. Meanwhile, mash old garlic into a paste the size of a broad bean, and apply it to Shangyang Point (located behind the radial pulse at the base of the thumb), on the left hand for men and the right hand for women. Cover with a clam shell and tie securely (other covers may also be used). After a short while, a blister will form; puncture it with a silver needle, wipe away the fluid, and recovery will follow. Alternatively, rub ginger on the center of the head until red, or grind Sophora Flavescens Bark (do not use worm-eaten ones) into powder, mix with vinegar, and take 1 qian (approx. 3-5g); for severe cases, take 1.5 qian. One may also dip a goose feather in the medicine and insert it into the throat to stir, and apply externally to the throat. Replace as it dries; spitting out phlegm and saliva shortly after indicates cure. This is the first miraculous prescription for treating Wind-Throat and Throat Bi. Alternatively, dip a goose feather in pure Tung Oil (one part) and insert it into the throat to stir and induce expectoration. (The Sophora Flavescens Bark prescription also treats internal and external winding wind-throat and locked wind-throat.)
Tonsillar swelling, throat closure, and winding wind-throat are all referred to as Throat Bi.
Apply raw Aconite Root (sliced) coated with white honey, roast over fire until thoroughly blackened, and store for later use. When needed, take one grain-sized piece (size of a mung bean), place it in the mouth, and swallow the saliva. This is a secret method of Linwu Mountain Hermit; it is suitable even in summer, so do not hesitate to avoid self-harm. If symptoms include throat swelling, heart pain, closing eyes and inability to speak, initial scattered pulse, clenched jaw, palpitations, and numbness of hands and feet, this is named Cinnabar Syndrome (also known as Heart Meridian Ding, not Wind-Throat). Urgently burn a red paper twist and shine it on the anterior and posterior heart areas. If red spots appear, puncture them with a silver needle and draw out the red veins inside. (If no red spots appear, wait a moment and check again, or check after taking medicine; there will definitely be some.) Apply mud from the threshold of frequently walked doors to the punctured area for dressing; immediate recovery will occur.
