治痰饮，胸膈痞塞，此药下痰。
皂角（无虫蛀者，刮去皮弦，酥炙黄色，去子，净一两六钱） 白矾（一两二钱，生用）
黑牵牛（一斤，取头末四两）
上为细末，滴水和丸，如梧桐子大，每服三十丸，渐加至百丸，空心用温酒送下。看病
轻重，轻者五日十日愈，重者半月一月愈，久服永无瘫痪之疾。
治证同前。
上用木瓜一个，切下顶，作罐儿，去幅，用生白矾半夏曲等分为细末，填在木瓜内，却
用原顶盖定，用麻缕扎缚，于饭甑上炊熟捣烂研，以宿蒸饼和丸，如梧桐子大，每服三五十
丸，不拘时用生姜汤送下。
治痰。
橘皮（用真洞庭陈者，温水浸去幅白，取红一斤） 甘草（四两） 盐（四两）
上用水五碗，慢火煮，焙干，捣为细末，白汤点服。
一方 用橘红四两，甘草炙一两为细末，汤点服，治痰极有验。世医但知用半夏南星枳
实茯苓之类，何足语此。玉王 史均外舅莫强中服之，腹痛，利下物数块，如铁弹子，臭不
可闻，胸满之疾，豁然顿愈。
治痰
上用半夏南星各四两，生姜半斤，共捣作饼，以楮叶包缚，却于草中如罨曲法，候干，
入去皮香附子四两，同为细末，以生姜汁煮捣和丸，如梧桐子大，每服四十丸，食后用生姜
汤送下。
治胸膈间久年顽痰为害，积成痰气，面目青白色，无时浮肿，全不进食，逼身疼痛，夜
间上壅，不得睡卧，寒热往来，手足疼痛，不能转侧。用南星半夏，黑锡灵砂，不计服数，
坠之则不下，取之则不出，此是痰母坚滞，宜服此药，须臾利下顽痰如鱼冻，如未利再服，
决然洞利，可除终身之疾。
大乌梅（取肉，三两） 巴豆（五枚，去壳皮膜）
上用水二碗，于瓦石器内，将乌梅慢火煮烂，候水稍干，入巴豆在内，将竹篦搅干，直
候如干糊方住火，摊冷研烂就丸，如绿豆大，每服七丸九丸十五丸二十一丸，不拘时用生姜
汤送下。
治疗痰饮病，症见胸膈部痞闷堵塞，此药能下行祛除痰浊。

以上药物研成细末，滴水泛丸，如梧桐子大小，每次服用三十丸，逐渐增加至一百丸，空腹时用温酒送服。根据病情轻重而定，轻者五到十天痊愈，重者半个月到一个月痊愈，长期服用可永远避免瘫痪之疾。
治疗证候与前文相同。
取上一个方子中提到的木瓜一个，切下顶部，做成罐状，去掉瓜瓤，将生白矾、半夏曲等量混合研成细末，填入木瓜内，再用原来的瓜顶盖住，用麻线捆扎牢固，放在饭甑上蒸熟后捣烂研磨，用隔夜蒸饼调和制成丸剂，如梧桐子大小，每次服用三五十丸，不拘时间，用生姜汤送服。
治疗痰证。
橘皮（选用真正的洞庭山陈年橘皮，温水浸泡去除白色部分，只取红色外皮一斤） 甘草（四两） 盐（四两）
以上用水五碗，慢火煮，焙干，捣成细末，用白开水冲服。
另一方案：用橘红四两，炙甘草一两，研成细末，用开水冲服，治疗痰证极有疗效。世俗医生只知道使用半夏、南星、枳实、茯苓之类的药物，哪里谈得上这种疗法。玉王史均的外舅莫强中服用此药后，腹痛，排出数块物体，像铁弹子一样，臭不可闻，胸闷满胀的病疾，顿时豁然痊愈。
治疗痰证
取上方中的半夏、南星各四两，生姜半斤，共同捣碎做成饼，用楮叶包裹束缚，然后放在草中如同制作酒曲的方法发酵，待干燥后，加入去皮香附子四两，一同研成细末，用生姜汁煮捣调和制成丸剂，如梧桐子大小，每次服用四十丸，饭后用生姜汤送服。
治疗胸膈间多年顽固痰邪为害，积聚形成痰气，面色青白，不时浮肿，完全不能进食，全身疼痛，夜间气逆壅塞，无法睡眠躺卧，寒热往来，手足疼痛，不能翻身转动。使用南星、半夏、黑锡、灵砂，不计服用次数，坠降痰浊则痰不下行，攻逐痰浊则痰不出，这是痰母坚硬停滞所致，适宜服用此药，片刻之后会泻下顽痰如鱼冻状，如果未泻下再服用，必然彻底通利，可以根除终身疾病。
大乌梅（取肉，三两） 巴豆（五枚，去壳及皮膜）
以上用水二碗，在瓦器或石器内，将乌梅慢火煮烂，待水稍干，放入巴豆，用竹篦搅拌至干，一直等到变成干糊状才停止加热，摊开冷却后研烂制成丸剂，如绿豆大小，每次服用七丸、九丸、十五丸或二十一丸，不拘时间，用生姜汤送服。
Treatment for Phlegm-Fluid Retention (Tan Yin), presenting with chest and diaphragm stuffiness and obstruction; this medication descends and eliminates phlegm.
Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojiao, 皂角) [without insect damage, scraped of skin and fibrous strands, fried in butter to yellow color, seeds removed, net weight 1 liang 6 qian] Alum (Bai Fan, 白矾) [1 liang 2 qian, raw use]
Semen Sterculiae Lychnophorae (Hei Qianniu, 黑牵牛) [1 jin, taking the first extraction powder 4 liang]
The above are ground into fine powder, mixed with water to form pills, sized like Sophora japonica seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 100 pills. Administer on an empty stomach with warm wine. Depending on the severity of the condition: mild cases resolve in 5-10 days, severe cases in half a month to one month. Long-term use prevents paralysis permanently.
For symptoms identical to the preceding case.
Take one Quince (Mugua, 木瓜), cut off the top to make a pot shape, remove the pulp. Mix raw Alum (Bai Fan, 白矾) and Massae Medicamentosa Cum Buxo (Banxia Qu, 半夏曲) in equal parts, grind into fine powder, fill into the quince. Replace the original top, tie securely with hemp thread. Steam over a rice steamer until cooked, then pound and grind. Mix with overnight steamed bread dough to form pills, sized like Sophora japonica seeds. Take 30-50 pills per dose at any time, administered with ginger decoction.
Treatment for Phlegm (Tan).
Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Jupi, 橘皮) [authentic aged Doudong variety, soaked in warm water to remove white pith, retaining only red peel 1 jin] Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata (Gancao, 甘草) [4 liang] Sal (Yan, 盐) [4 liang]
Boil the above in five bowls of water over slow heat, dry by baking, grind into fine powder. Take with plain boiled water.
Another prescription: Use Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae (Juhong, 橘红) 4 liang, prepared Radix Glycyrrhizae (Zhi Gancao, 炙甘草) 1 liang, grind into fine powder, take with hot water. Highly effective for phlegm. Conventional physicians only know to use Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia, 半夏), Arisaema Rhizome (Nanxing, 南星), Fructus Aurantii (Zhishi, 枳实), Poria (Fuling, 茯苓) and similar herbs; how can they discuss this method? Mr. Mo Qiangzhong, maternal uncle of Yu Wang Shi Jun, took this medicine. He experienced abdominal pain and passed several lumps resembling iron pellets, extremely foul-smelling. His chest fullness was instantly and completely cured.
Treatment for Phlegm (Tan).
Take Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia, 半夏) and Arisaema Rhizome (Nanxing, 南星) from the previous formula, each 4 liang, and Fresh Ginger (Shengjiang, 生姜) 8 liang. Pound together into cakes. Wrap in Cecropia leaves and bind. Place in grass to ferment like yeast making methods. When dry, add peeled Cyperi Rhizome (Xiangfu, 香附子) 4 liang. Grind all into fine powder. Mix with fresh ginger juice, boil, pound, and form pills sized like Sophora japonica seeds. Take 40 pills per dose after meals, administered with ginger decoction.
Treatment for chronic stubborn phlegm damaging the chest and diaphragm over many years, accumulating into phlegm-Qi stagnation. Symptoms include bluish-white complexion, intermittent edema, complete loss of appetite, generalized body pain, nocturnal qi rebellion causing inability to sleep or lie down, alternating chills and fever, hand and foot pain, and inability to turn or move. Use Arisaema Rhizome (Nanxing, 南星), Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia, 半夏), Nigrum Stannum (Heixi, 黑锡), and Calamina (Lingsha, 灵砂). Do not limit the number of doses. If the descending action fails to move the phlegm downwards, or if purging fails to expel it, this indicates the "Phlegm Mother" is hard and stagnant. This medication is suitable. Within moments, it will cause the passage of stubborn phlegm resembling fish jelly. If no passage occurs, administer again. It will surely cause thorough purgation, curing lifelong disease.
Large Mume Fructus (Wumei, 乌梅) [extracted flesh, 3 liang] Semen Crotonis Tiglii (Badou, 巴豆) [5 seeds, shell and membrane removed]
Place the above in two bowls of water in a pottery or stone vessel. Boil the Mume Fructus slowly until soft. When water reduces slightly, add Semen Crotonis Tiglii. Stir with a bamboo spatula until dry. Continue heating until it becomes a dry paste, then stop fire. Spread out to cool, grind into paste, and form pills sized like mung beans. Take 7, 9, 15, or 21 pills per dose at any time, administered with ginger decoction.
