Treats flaccid paralysis due to wind.
Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 1 fen) Moyao (Myrrha), Huangming Diluxiang (Boswellia resin from yellow source, each 0.5 liang), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, 1 liang, processed, peeled, and umbilicus removed), Anshixiang (Styrax).
The above seven ingredients are crushed and sifted into a fine powder together. Each dose is four qian. Use one sheng of Fa Jiu (medicinal wine prepared with specific methods), boil in a silver or ceramic vessel until it becomes an ointment/paste. Then divide into four portions. Prepare additional Fa Jiu separately. Adjust the dosage of the paste according to the patient's tolerance for alcohol. Take until finished. Have the patient lie with the affected part supported by a pillow, cover with blankets. If sweating occurs, or if there is a sensation like insects crawling, it indicates efficacy. Take another dose the next day; the limbs should then be able to move. Treatment is only effective if initiated more than fifty days after onset. Cases with stiff hair are not treated.
Treats left-sided hemiplegia and right-sided paralysis.
Wulingzhi (Trogopterori Faex, remove sand and stones, grind separately into fine powder), Mubiezi (Strychni Semen, remove shell, chop, grind separately into fine powder), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, sliced), Dilong (Pheretima, stir-fry in hemp cloth until evenly heated inside and out, mix with Xiangru [Boswelliae Carrii Resina] and several grains of...
