When Yang Qi desires to transform into Yin Blood and exit through the Yugou (female reproductive tract outlet), one must hastily drive the Fire Wheel (the movement of intent and Qi in internal alchemy) without lingering.
The Xun Wind (breath) blows upward to the Hongyuan Fu (area around the Danzhong acupoint in the chest), severing the Red Menses (menstruation) so it never flows again.
"Yang Qi desiring to transform into Yin" refers to the time when menstruation is about to arrive but has not yet begun; at this moment, one should hastily stir the Xun Wind and drive the Fire Wheel, transporting from the Dantian to the Hongyuan Fu to sever it.
The *Taiyin Lianxing Fa* states: At the initial stage of practice, close the eyes and visualize the Primordial Spirit, taking a deep rest to calm the mind and regulate the breath, then condense the Shen (Spirit) into the Qi Acupoint; cross both hands to hold the breasts, gently and softly massaging them three hundred and sixty times; draw the Qi up slightly from the Lower Dantian twenty-four times; continue holding the breasts with hands, reflecting inwardly to regulate the breath, and over time, the True Breath will naturally come and go, opening and closing once, cultivating the state of Yine (fullness of True Qi). When Shen and Qi are sufficient, True Yang naturally prospers, menstruation naturally ceases, breasts shrink like those of a man, which is called "Severing the Red Dragon."
After practicing thus for a long time, there is no need to hold the breasts or inhale Qi; simply condense the Shen into the Qi Acupoint and reflect the light inwardly; this is the Gate of Xuanpin (Mysterious Female). The True Breath is leisurely, reaching the state of extreme emptiness and stillness, Yang Qi steams and warms, and the Heche (River Cart) reverses direction (essence and Qi ascend along the Du Meridian). Ten thousand purple clouds face the Yuyu (Niwang Palace in the head), a thousand and hundred meridians gather at Niwan. The merit of Severing the Red Dragon yields such effects; therefore, for women's cultivation, Severing the Red Dragon is essential.
There is no demon more harmful to life than this; when the cycle of seven sevens (forty-nine years) is complete, life will collapse.
After cultivating until the Taiyin (female physiological characteristics) form is hidden, arrange for the Zifu (Niwang Palace in the brain) to celebrate longevity.
Master Xu said: "Men cultivate to prevent leakage of Jing (Essence); women cultivate to prevent leakage of Jing (menses)." Generally, a woman's menses is the initial sign of human generation; returning menses to transform into Qi causes the breasts to shrink like a man's, and menses naturally cease leaking. For men, it is refining Jing to transform into Qi, causing the genital root to shrink like that of a child, and Jing naturally ceases leaking. Only by not leaking can lifespan be extended. If this demon is not severed, upon reaching forty-nine years (seven sevens), blood dries up, menses exhausts, and there is no vitality. Once vitality is cut off, life collapses.
The *Shangyao Lingjing Sanming Pian* states: "Women regard Blood as Kidney, which is an empty cavity. After forty-nine years, the waist becomes dry and blood is exhausted, leaving no vitality. Nourish it and let it last long, and Blood Yuan (Primordial Blood) will regenerate like that of a maiden. This is the wonder of producing something from nothing; seeing it and having it, one severance transforms it, and life is generated."
How to nourish it to regenerate Blood Yuan? It is nothing more than gathering the heart to nurture nature, nurturing Qi and condensing Shen. Bu'er Yuanjun said: "Originally it was the beginning of Wuwei (Non-action), why expect to fall behind into the Post-Heaven state? With one sound, one retreats from the gate of the field; within three inches (Dantian), authority is already held. Moreover, wearing the disturbances of worldly labor, how can one endure entanglement by diseases? A fat child benefits the mother; do not say it cannot turn back." There is another supplementary method, which I dare not lightly reveal; it refers to what Sun Buer said: "Bind the Tiger back to the True Acupoint, lead the Dragon to sever and benefit the Dan." When women cultivate until menses does not leak, their subsequent work on Xing (Nature/Life) and Ming (Life/Essence) is largely similar to that of men. It is merely that few people exist to break open its mysteries.
