**Symptom 35: Abdominal Distension like a Drum during Menstruation**
This condition is characterized by amenorrhea lasting two to three months, or even seven to eight months, accompanied by abdominal distension resembling a drum. It is often mistaken for pregnancy. Upon rupture and bleeding, menstrual blood is discharged containing objects resembling frog eggs, and the patient falls into a coma. Patients with strong constitutions may take *Shiquan Dabu Tang* (Complete Ten Tonics Decoction, a formula for tonifying both Qi and Blood), whereas those with emaciated constitutions face a poor prognosis.
For details on *Shiquan Dabu Tang*, refer to Symptom 15.
**Symptom 36: Passage of White Worms in Urine during Menstruation**
In this condition, white worms resembling chicken intestines are found in the menstrual blood, causing severe abdominal pain. The treatment involves expelling the worms via defecation. First, administer *Zhui Chong Wan* (Worm-Expelling Pill), followed by *Jianzhong Tang* (Middle-Jian Replenishing Decoction) for supplementation and recovery.
*Zhui Chong Wan* Formula No. 39:
*Xuesuisi* (Euphorbia lathyris Root), *Binglang* (Areca Seed), *Qianniu* (Pharbitis Seed), *Daji* (Euphorbia Pekinensis Root) (each 5 fen); *Shexiang* (Musk) (5 fen); *Gansui* (Kansui Root), *Yuanhua* (Genkwa Flower) (each 1 qian).

Grind into powder and take with rice gruel for a cure.
**Symptom 37: Fever and Anorexia throughout the Day during Menstruation**
This condition presents with fever and loss of appetite throughout the day during menstruation due to stagnation of Stomach Qi. Treatment should focus on opening the appetite; other methods are unsuitable. Drinking Duck Blood Wine yields immediate results. Obtain blood from the top of a male duck's head, mix it with wine, and drink it for instant efficacy.
**Symptom 38: Amenorrhea in Women**
Young women who do not understand how to care for themselves when menstruation first begins may wash their hands and feet in cold water. The blood coagulates upon contact with cold and fails to discharge from the *Xuehai* (Blood Sea, referring to the Chong and Ren meridians or uterus). The complexion appears greenish-yellow, and generalized edema occurs, often misdiagnosed as general edema. Conventional treatments fail; *Tongjing Wan* (Menstruation-Unblocking Pill) should be used to unblock the blood vessels and reduce swelling.
*Tongjing Wan* Formula No. 41:
*Sangling* (Spatholobus Stem), *Ezhu* (Curcuma Zedoary Rhizome), *Chi Shao* (Red Peony Root), *Chuan Xiong* (Ligusticum Wallichii Rhizome), *Dang Gui* (Angelica Sinensis Root), *Zi Wan* (Aster Tataricus Root), *Liji Nu* (Patrinia Scabiosifolia Herb) (each 8 fen); *Chuanshanjia* (Pangolin Scales) (one slice).
