凡遇汤火所伤。切勿用冷水冷物冷泥。盖热气得冷气则却深搏。焖入筋骨。慎之慎之。

盐水和米醋调涂疮上。又以醋泥涂之。仍用醋涂不绝。暂救痛苦。一面急捣生地黄。醋调敷
疮上。直候疼止。虽浓至数寸亦不妨。
一治汤烫。被火烧破。疮毒疼痛。三方俱效。
一方。用大黄末。蜜和涂之。立愈。

清凉膏
生地黄（二两） 黄连 栀子 白芷（各一两） 葱白（十根）
上锉细。用香油四两。煎至地黄等焦黑。滤去渣再煎。入黄蜡五钱。火熬蜡化。倾瓷盆
内。以鸡翎扫疮上。
一治汤烫火烧疮。家园生地黄。旋取新者。捣取自然汁。入香油、黄蜡少许。砂锅内熬
成膏。以鸡翎扫敷疮上。
一治汤火烧伤。用水磨炭末涂。或磨土朱涂。或用真桐油涂。
一方。用蓣头切开。水磨浓浆敷之。立效。
一方。用黄柏为末。香油调搽。立已。
凡是遇到被沸水或火焰烫伤的情况，千万不要使用冷水、冷物或冷泥。因为热气遇到冷气就会退缩并深入搏结，焖入筋骨之中。务必谨慎，千万小心。

Formula Two: Use egg white, grind Jingmo (Beijing Ink Stick, 京墨) into it, and apply. Cover the area with three layers of wet paper.
Formula Three: Use raw wheat flour as powder, mix with sesame oil, and sweep/apply onto the broken sore. Apply at any time.
One method for treating scalds and burns: Take pig bristles from a scrubbing brush, regardless of quantity, dry them by roasting, burn them to ash while preserving their medicinal nature, grind into fine powder, mix with pure sesame oil, and apply thickly around the perimeter of the affected area according to its size, leaving one hole in the center. Change once daily, slowly enclosing the wound. If applied too rapidly without leaving an opening, it will lead to suppuration and scarring.

Qingliang Gao (Cooling Ointment, 清凉膏)
Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Sheng Dihuang, 生地黄) (2 liang)
Radix Coptidis (Huanglian, 黄连)
Fructus Gardeniae Jasminoidis (Zhizi, 栀子)
Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (Baizhi, 白芷) (each 1 liang)
Scallion White (Congbai, 葱白) (10 stalks)
Chop the herbs finely. Use 4 liang of sesame oil, decoct until the Radix Rehmanniae Preparata and other herbs turn scorched black. Filter out the dregs and decoct again. Add 5 qian of beeswax, melt over fire, and pour into a porcelain basin. Use a chicken feather to sweep/apply the ointment onto the wound.
One method for treating scalds and burns: Take fresh Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Sheng Dihuang, 生地黄) grown at home, pick fresh ones, crush them to extract natural juice. Add a small amount of sesame oil and beeswax, boil in a clay pot until it becomes an ointment. Use a chicken feather to sweep/apply onto the wound.
One method for treating scalds and burns: Apply charcoal powder ground with water, or apply Zhuzhu (Vermilion Earth, 土朱), or apply pure tung oil.
Another formula: Cut open Dioscorea bulbifera (Yutou, 蓣头), grind with water into a thick paste, and apply. Immediate effect.
Another formula: Grind Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis (Huangbai, 黄柏) into powder, mix with sesame oil, and apply. Heals immediately.
