*General Treatise on Infant Health and Hygiene* (Xiao'er Weisheng Zongwei Lunfang), comprising twenty volumes, was printed by the He family at the Imperial Medical Bureau in Xingzai during the Bingzi year of the Jiading era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1216). The preface states that the author's identity is unknown. The text extensively cites the *Shengji Jing* (Classic of Sacred Healing) and the formula theories of Qian Zhongyang (Qian Yi), suggesting that the author was likely a reclusive scholar after the Southern Song court moved south. At the end of Volume Seven, there is a self-record noting the compilation of various formulas for Typhoid Fever (Shanghan) categorized by syndrome differentiation, which is quite detailed and comprehensive. Research indicates that the three-volume *Typhoid Fever Categorized Syndromes* (Shanghan Leizheng) was first published during the Dading era of the Jin Dynasty; a Song dynasty figure claimed to have obtained it from an extraordinary person. In the Ming Dynasty, Zhao of Yushan included it as an appendix in the complete works of Zhang Zhongjing. This book still exists today with clear and distinct conditions, allowing readers of Changsha’s (Zhang Zhongjing’s) texts to feel a sense of clarity and appropriateness. This demonstrates not only his expertise in pediatrics but also his obscurity in fame, which certainly qualifies him as a virtuous person. This book is also known as *Complete Preservation of Infants* (Baoyou Daquan), likely renamed during the Ming Dynasty. Fan’s bibliographic catalog attributes its compilation to Zhu Chen of the Ming Dynasty, probably merely recording the name associated with the printing. Ming editions contain numerous omissions and errors, and copies circulating in the world are gradually becoming rare. Herein, Xiao Xiaolian Beicheng, Director of the Wuchang Medical Hall, was invited to carefully collate and revise the text, leading to its new woodblock printing. The core methods of Zhongyang (Qian Yi) are indeed elucidated exhaustively in this work.
