The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* (Prescriptions for Nourishing Life and Guiding and Pulling Methods) states: Cross both hands under the chin and extend to the utmost limit to replenish Yuan Qi (Original Qi), treating sudden Qi rebellion cough. The method is to cross both hands under the chin, grasp the Mai (pulse/meridian) at both sides of the jaw, bend the chin to interlock tightly in the center, and pull forcefully towards the hyoid bone. Perform this utmost extension three times to ensure Yuan Qi is sufficient, treating sudden Qi rebellion, Qi rushing upward, and diseases of the throat, thereby harmonizing and lengthening the breath and voice...
The *Yangsheng Fang* (Prescriptions for Nourishing Life) states: After crying and lamenting, do not eat immediately; doing so for a long time will result in Qi disorders.
The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* states: Sit upright with the waist straightened, raise the left hand with the palm facing up, and place the right arm covering the right hand behind. Inhale through the nose for seven Xi (breaths). Between each breath, slightly pause the right hand to eliminate stagnant Qi in both arms and the back.
It also states: Sit properly with the waist straightened, raise the left hand with the palm facing up, use the right hand to support the right Mai (pulse/meridian), inhale through the nose, and perform seven Xi (breaths) to the utmost extent to eliminate stagnant Qi.
It also states: Extend both palms outward against the elbows, resting the elbows on the mat, and push the abdomen upward to the utmost limit. Only lower when feeling extreme suffocation. Repeat this up-and-down motion five to seven times to eliminate pain inside the spine and body, stiffness and rigidity of the bone joints, and accumulated Qi in the intestines. When walking, avoid being too full, and do not tighten the belt around the abdomen.
The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* states: Use the heel of the left foot to hook the big toe of the right foot, inhale through the nose, and perform seven Xi (breaths) to the utmost extent to eliminate Pi Ji (accumulated masses) and Qi rebellion.
The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* states: Sit with both legs stretched out, relax the body and guide Qi inward, directing it downward to make the heart feel soft, comfortable, and dispersed. Then, flex one leg and place it under the knee, extending it forcefully; stretch the other leg, pointing the toes upward, and then rapidly lie supine without letting the head touch the mat. Forcefully push both hands forward while simultaneously pulling the head upward, holding the posture for a moment. Each posture is repeated fourteen times (two sevens), alternating similarly. This eliminates lower back pain, shoulder/back pain, Bi syndrome caused by cold blood and cold wind, and gradually reduces deterioration.
It also states: Lie prone and look to the side, straighten the waist, and inhale through the nose for seven Xi (breaths) to the utmost extent to eliminate cramping pain in the feet, muscle spasms, soreness and pain in the feet, and foot weakness due to Bi syndrome.
It also states: Sit with both legs extended, disperse Qi toward Yongquan (KI1, Gushing Spring), repeating three times. Only collect the Qi after the sensation reaches the inverted state. If the right foot is flexed and weary, use both hands to firmly grasp the Yongquan point on the sole of the foot, pulling the foot to press against the hands while maintaining the posture. Exert force in both hands and feet, guiding rebellious Qi downward for twenty-one repetitions (three sevens), adhering strictly to the Qi count, to eliminate cold Qi in the Kidneys, cold knees, and foot pain.
It also states: Flex one foot so that the toes are forced upward; place the other foot on the center of the knee to calm the mind. Exhale from both heels downward. Press down firmly on the knee with one palm, and push the mat backward with the other hand. Hold the ultimate posture for a moment; repeat on the other side. Perform fourteen repetitions (two sevens) to eliminate pain and stiffness in the knees and thighs.
It also states: Place one foot flat on the ground and the other foot backward. Position the JieXi (ST41, Binding Stream) point of the foot [at a specific location], and forcefully push both hands to one side. Turn the torso sideways backward as if rotating, holding the ultimate posture for fourteen repetitions (two sevens); repeat on the other side. This eliminates foot pain, Bi syndrome with stiffness, and lower back pain.
