*Chao Shi Bing Yuan* (Source of Diseases by Chao Yuanfang), Pediatric Xuan Syndrome: Xuan disease arises from the struggle between wind pathogen and blood/qi within the skin, failing to dissipate and transforming into urticaria-like rashes. The rashes are millet-grain sized, taking square or round shapes, gradually spreading and enlarging, accompanied by itching and pain. Scratching yields exudate; this condition is named Xuan. For pediatric facial xuan, where the skin resembles rough scales and appears dry, it is called Ru Xuan (Milk Lichen).
