*Wang's Hand Collection*: Recently, a child in Yingtian was observed to have a sore under the neck. It was constantly itchy and painful, remained dry, and gradually grew around the neck, persisting for a year without healing. A Daoist priest stated: "This is called 'Self-Hanging Sore' (Zixuan Chuang), caused by the malevolence of a ghost who hanged themselves. It will encircle the neck and can cause the head to be severed; this is truly strange. One only needs to take a few *he* (a unit of volume) of soil from the grave of a person who hanged themselves, grind it finely, and apply it to the sore as needed. Although countless medicines had been tried before, using this remedy resulted in healing without the need for repeated applications."
*Taiping Shenghui Fang*: In children suffering from "Dai Zhi" (Subungual Abscess), the finger first swells, becomes hot and painful, with no dark discoloration. Subsequently, pus forms under the nail plate. In severe cases, the nail falls off. This condition is also known as "Dai Jia," "Cao Zhi," or "Tu Zao Huo." It arises from the residual qi of the nail tendons. Due to excessive heat in the sinews and bones causing stagnation and obstruction of Qi flow, swelling and pus formation occur, leading to nail detachment.
*Taiping Shenghui Fang* prescription for treating pediatric Dai Zhi with swelling and pain:
Take 3 liang of Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄), crush it, and decoct it in two bowls of water until one bowl remains. While still hot, dip the affected finger into the liquid briefly. Repeating this more than ten times a day leads to recovery.
*Taiping Shenghui Fang* prescription for treating pediatric Dai Zhi with reverse swelling:
Mix miscellaneous hair with yellow earth to form a paste. Apply this paste to the finger to a thickness of approximately 5 fen. Place the finger in warm ashes until it is mildly warm but tolerable. When the paste dries, replace it. Healing occurs within two or three applications.
Another prescription from *Taiping Shenghui Fang*:
Mix suet (pig fat) with fermented grain starter (qu), grind them together, and apply the mixture to the lesion. Change the dressing frequently.
Another prescription from *Taiping Shenghui Fang*:

Another prescription from *Taiping Shenghui Fang*:

Another prescription from *Taiping Shenghui Fang*:
Mix urine with salt to form a paste. Wrap the affected area thickly with this paste and change it frequently to achieve healing. For best results, puncture the area with a needle to allow blood to drain.
