Cold combats with blood, stopping at areas where muscles are deficient, causing blood qi to become stagnant and sluggish, unable to nourish the skin. When wind-cold combats the abdominal skin, it turns cyan and black.
According to *Ying Tong Bao Jian*: Blood coagulation in children occurs because their flesh has not yet fully formed at birth. If wrapped in new cotton and thick clothes, the blood is heated but fails to transform into muscle tissue, leading to coagulation. The symptoms include dark cyan discoloration of the body, crying without sound, and refusal to nurse.
