上件捣，罗为细末。每服一钱，水八分一盏，入生姜两片，薄荷两叶，煎至五分，去滓，温服。
《刘氏家传》治风痫及小儿惊风。
上以芭蕉自然汁，时时呷一两口。甚者服及五升必愈。亦治小儿惊风。邵孚仲通直云∶加麝香更佳。予见
蒋元明秘校云∶风 牙，颐颊肿痛。以自然汁一碗煎及八分，乘热嗽牙肿处，嗽尽即止。凡是风牙用之必愈。
颐颊肿而牙龈痛者，风牙也；颐颊不肿只牙龈肿痛者， 牙也。

《巢氏病源》小儿惊痫候∶惊痫者，起于惊怖大啼，精神伤动，气脉不定，因惊而发作成痫也。初觉儿欲惊，
急持抱之，惊自止。故养小儿常慎惊，勿闻大声。每持抱之间常当安徐，勿令惊怖。又，雷鸣时常塞儿耳，
并作余细声以乱之。惊痫当按图灸之、摩膏，不可大下。何者？惊痫心气不足，下之内虚则甚难治。凡诸痫正
发，手足掣缩，慎不可捉之，捉之则令曲戾不随也。

《千金》紫石煮散与此方治疮药味皆同。《外台》崔氏紫石汤治疗药味亦同，有分两不同者各注于下。注云∶永嘉
二年，大小儿频行风痫之病，得发，倒不能言；或发热，半身掣缩；或五六日、或七八日死。张思维合此散，所疗皆愈。
此方本仲景《伤寒论》方。
《千金》镇心丸 治小儿惊痫百病，镇心气方。

上以青羊肝一具，细起薄切，以水洗，漉出沥干。以五味酱醋食之。

天南星（四两，汤洗，去皮脐） 齐州半夏（二两，同上）
上两味焙干，以生薄荷叶五斤已来，捣取自然汁一大碗，入药浸、焙，直候药汁尽。捣、罗为末，炼蜜为
丸如梧子大。每服十丸、十五丸，生姜薄荷汤吞下。小儿丸如黍米大，每服七丸至十丸。惊风，金银薄荷汤
吞下；心脏壅热，荆芥薄荷汤吞下。食后临卧服。
《仙人水鉴》孩子百日内惊痫神验方。
黄梨汁和黄梨花，偏治惊痫力更加，牙硝入之一大分，亦须更着少铅华。（铅华，黄丹也。）
《外台》∶深师疗大人风引，少小惊痫掣 ，日数十发，医所不能疗，除热方。

上九味捣，下筛，韦囊盛。大人三指撮，以井华水二升煮三沸，药成。适寒温，大人服一升，未满百日
儿服一合。未能饮者，绵裹箸头纳汤中，着小儿口中，以当乳汁。热多者，日四服。无毒，以意消息之。忌
海藻、菘菜、生葱。一方无大黄、赤石脂、桂心、甘草。
《外台》∶崔氏疗暴得惊痫立验方。

上十一味切，以水九升，煮取三升。温，分三服，相去六、七里久。若小儿孩子患，药各减量，取多少细
细饮之，立瘥。忌醋物。

上件药捣，罗为末，入研了药，同研令匀，炼蜜和丸如绿豆大。每服不计时候，以荆芥薄荷汤下五丸。量
儿大小以意加减服之。

上件药同研令匀，以粳米饭和丸如绿豆大。每服用磨刀水煎一、两沸，如人体，下三丸。更量儿大小以

上件药捣，罗为末，入蜜五两，以慢火煎，炼为膏。每以熟水调一杏仁大服，日三服。量儿大小以意加减。
《圣惠》治小儿惊痫，频频发动，经久不瘥，肌体瘦弱。蚱蝉煎方
蚱蝉（三枚，去翅足，微炙） 麻黄（去根节） 钩藤（各一分） 柴胡（去苗） 白芍药 犀角屑 知母 沙参
川芎、犀角屑、独活（各一两），蝎梢、人参、天麻（各半两）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成细末。每次服用一钱，用八分水量的水，加入生姜两片、薄荷两叶，煎煮至五分水量，滤去药渣，温服。
《刘氏家传》记载此方治疗风痫及小儿惊风。
另外，用芭蕉自然汁，不时啜饮一两口。病情严重的服用至五升必定痊愈。也用于治疗小儿惊风。邵孚仲通直说：加入麝香效果更好。我见到蒋元明秘校记载：对于风牙（风邪引起的牙齿疾病），颐颊部肿痛。用一碗自然汁煎至八分，趁热漱口患处，漱尽即止。凡是风牙使用此法必定痊愈。
颐颊肿胀且牙龈疼痛的，是风牙；颐颊不肿只牙龈肿胀疼痛的，是龋齿（此处原文可能有误或特指某种牙痛，按字面翻译为龋牙/虫牙类，但结合语境“风牙”与“龋牙”对比，通常指非风邪所致之牙痛，此处依文意保留“龋牙”概念或直译）。
《吉氏家传》记载此方治疗一切风痫。
木贼（半两，研为末）、腊茶（一钱半）。
以上药材研为末，拌匀。每次服用一钱，用磨刀清水调服，不限时间。服药后，吃少量人参。
《吉氏家传》记载此方治疗热风痫。茯神丸。
茯神、铁粉、人参（各八分），龙齿、栀子仁、子芩（黄芩）、升麻（各六分），门冬子（麦冬）（三分）。
以上药材研为末，炼蜜制成如麻子大小的丸剂。饭前，用米汤送服二三十丸。
《吉氏家传》记载此方治疗风痫。水银丸。
水银、雄黄、蛇黄（各一分），轻粉、生犀（研末，各二钱）。
将水银细细研磨，加入肉枣（可能指大枣肉或特定辅料，此处直译），制成如圆圈所示大小的丸剂。用蜜水化开两丸服用。
《巢氏病源》中关于小儿惊痫的论述：惊痫，起因于受惊吓后大声啼哭，导致精神受损扰动，气脉不稳定，因惊而发作成为痫证。刚开始觉得孩子要受惊时，急忙抱住他，惊恐自然会停止。所以养育小儿常需谨慎防止受惊，不要让他听到巨大的声响。每次抱持之间应当安详舒缓，不要让他受到惊吓恐惧。另外，雷声大作时常堵塞孩子的耳朵，并制造其他细微声音来扰乱掩盖雷声。惊痫应当按照图谱进行艾灸、涂抹膏药，不可使用峻下法。为什么呢？因为惊痫属于心气不足，如果再用下法导致内部虚弱，则很难治疗。凡各种痫证正在发作时，手足抽搐拘挛，千万不要强行握住，握住会导致肢体弯曲畸形且不听从指挥。
《本草》记载治疗小儿惊痫的方子。
以上述猪牙齿烧成灰，用饮水送服半钱匕，同时治疗蛇咬伤。

《颅囟经》记载治疗小儿、幼儿二十四种惊痫，壮热，手脚抽掣，呕吐，夜间啼哭，眼睛肿胀。安惊痫的虎睛丸方。
虎睛（一枚，《圣惠方》用一对），栀子仁、茯苓（各二分），牛黄（少许，《圣惠方》用半两），人参（一分，《圣惠方》用一两），钩藤、大黄（各四分），犀角（研末，一分，《圣惠方》用二两），黄芩（一分，《圣惠方》用二两），蛇蜕（七寸，《圣惠方》用一分，烧成灰）。
以上药材研为末，用蜜制成如黍米大小的丸剂。空腹时用熟水送服，根据年龄决定丸数。轻症一次服用，重症三次服用，用奶汁送服也可以。《圣惠方》用熟水送服。乳母忌食一切生冷、油腻、有毒之物。
《广利方》记载治疗幼儿惊痫，不知迷闷，嚼舌仰目。
以上述牛黄一大豆大小，研磨，和蜜水服用。

《葛氏肘后》治疗小儿惊痫，抽搐的方子。
以上述大虫（蛇）眼睛如豆许大小，火烤，和水服用，效果很好。
《婴孺方》用虎睛中的液体治疗一切痫证。
《葛氏肘后》又一方。
以上取熊胆一两，如豆大，和乳汁及竹沥汁服用，都很好。能去除心中的涎沫，非常好。高家使用有效验。
《金匮要略》：风引除热，主治癫痫汤。深师说：治疗大人风引，小儿惊痫抽搐，每天发作数十次，医生无法治疗的，除热方。
大黄、干姜、龙骨（各四两），桂枝（三两，去皮。《千金方》用五两），甘草（炙），牡蛎（各二两，熬制。《千金方》各用五两。《外台秘要》各三两），凝水石、滑石、赤石脂、白石脂、石膏、紫石英（各六两。《外台秘要》这六味各八两）。
以上十二味药捣碎，粗筛，用皮囊盛装，取三指撮的量，用井华水三升煮三沸，滤去药渣，温服一升。《巢源》：香港脚宜用风引汤。
《千金方》紫石煮散与此方治疗疮药的药味都相同。《外台秘要》崔氏紫石汤治疗药的药味也相同，只是分量不同，分别注在下面。注云：永嘉二年，大小儿频繁患风痫病，发病时，跌倒不能说话；或者发热，半身抽搐拘挛；或者五六天、或者七八天死亡。张思维配制此散，所治疗的都痊愈了。
此方原本出自张仲景《伤寒论》。
《千金方》镇心丸 治疗小儿惊痫百病，镇心气的方子。

以上述青羊肝一个，细细切成薄片，用水洗，捞出沥干。用五味酱醋食用。

以上述猪乳汁三合，用棉缠浸，让孩子吮吸，越多越好。
《食医心鉴》治疗小儿壮热，呕吐不止，惊痫方。
以上述葛粉两大钱，水二合，调匀，倒入铛中，倾斜使均匀，隔水煮熟。与糜粥混合食用。
《仙人水鉴》天南星丸 治疗男子、女人上膈痰壅，头目昏眩，喉咙肿痛；小儿惊痫，早晨发热，一切涎积等病症的方子。
天南星（四两，汤洗，去皮脐），齐州半夏（二两，同上）。
以上两味药焙干，用生薄荷叶五斤以上，捣取自然汁一大碗，入药浸泡、焙干，直到药汁吸尽。捣碎、过筛成末，炼蜜制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用十丸、十五丸，用生姜薄荷汤吞下。小儿丸如黍米大，每次服用七丸至十丸。惊风，用金银薄荷汤吞下；心脏壅热，用荆芥薄荷汤吞下。饭后临睡前服用。
《仙人水鉴》幼儿百日内惊痫神验方。
黄梨汁和黄梨花，偏治惊痫效力更加，加入牙硝一大分，也必须再加少许铅华。（铅华，即黄丹。）

以上九味药捣碎，过筛，用皮囊盛装。大人三指撮，用井华水二升煮三沸，药成。温度适宜时，大人服一升，未满百日婴儿服一合。不能饮用的，用棉裹住筷子头浸入汤中，放入小儿口中，当作乳汁。热多的，每天四次服用。无毒，根据情况调整。忌海藻、菘菜、生葱。另一版本没有大黄、赤石脂、桂心、甘草。
《外台秘要》：崔氏治疗暴得惊痫立验方。
钩藤皮、茯神、黄芩、升麻、白藓皮、沙参（各二两），龙齿（三两），蚱蝉（七枚，去翅，炙，研，药成时加入），石膏（八两），寒水石（六两，碎研，包裹），甘竹沥（二升，药熟时加入）。
以上十一味药切碎，用水九升，煮取三升。温服，分三次服，间隔六、七里路程的时间。如果是小儿幼儿患病，药物各减量，取适量细细饮用，立即痊愈。忌醋物。

以上九味药捣碎、过筛。用好蜜和薄泔水，放在铜钵中在沸水上调匀，不停手搅拌，像饴糖一样。煎成后，稍微分出少许。一天大的婴儿，吃一枚，如枣核大，日夜服用五六次不妨碍；五六十天的婴儿，吃三枚；一百天的婴儿，吃四枚；二百天到三百天的婴儿，吃五枚；三岁婴儿，吃七枚。根据情况衡量。

以上药材捣碎，粗筛成散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，煎至五分，滤去药渣；加入竹沥半合，搅匀，再煎一、两沸，分两次温服。更根据儿童大小酌情加减。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，发作不定。蛇蜕皮散方。
蛇蜕皮（五寸，炙黄），蚱蝉（十枚），蜣螂（三枚，各去翅、足，微炙），麻黄（去根节），甘草（炙微赤，锉），当归（锉，微炒），细辛、黄芪（锉碎。各半两），人参（三分，去芦头），川大黄（一两，锉碎，微炒）。
以上药材捣碎，粗筛成散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，煎至五分，滤去药渣；加入牛黄二豆许，搅匀，温服。更根据儿童大小酌情加减（《婴孺方》说：儿童体质瘦弱的，用桂心二分代替大黄，治疗百病惊痫。初愈后，变成各种疾病、风痫都治疗它。）
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，仰目嚼舌，精神昏闷。宜服钩藤散方。
钩藤、川大黄（锉碎，微炒）、子芩（各半两），龙齿、麦门冬（去心，焙）、石膏（各三分），栀子仁（一分）。
以上药材捣碎，粗筛成散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，煎至五分，滤去药渣。根据儿童大小分减，不限时间，温服。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，邪气发即吐涎，迷闷难醒。白藓皮散方。
白藓皮、钩藤、龙齿（各一两），犀角屑（三分），子芩（三分），蚱蝉（半两，去翅、足，微炒）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，加入淡竹叶七片，煎至五分，滤去药渣。根据儿童大小加减服用。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，壮热心躁，发歇不定。宜服牛黄散子方。
牛黄（一分），马牙硝、铁粉、龙齿（各三分）。
以上药材都细细研磨成散剂。每次在乳食后，用熟水调下半钱。根据儿童大小酌情加减。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿心肺积热，发惊痫，烦闷吐逆，心神昏迷，痰涎壅滞。朱砂丸方。
朱砂、牛黄、铅霜（各细研），干蝎、蚕蛾（并微炒。各一分），腻粉（一钱），脑麝（各细研，半分），天浆子（二七枚，内有物者，微炒）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，都研磨令均匀，炼蜜和丸如黍米大。每次用薄荷汤化开五丸服用。根据儿童大小酌情加减。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，多涎体热。犀角丸方。
犀角屑、天麻、白附子（炮裂）、天竺黄、铅霜（并细研。各半两），朱砂（一两，细研，水飞过）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，加入已研的药，再研磨令均匀，以软饭和丸如绿豆大。每次煎竹叶汤送服五丸。看儿童大小加减丸数服用。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫。镇心丸方。
金银箔（各细研，五十片），防葵、水银（以少枣瓤研，令星尽）、铁粉、紫石英（细研，水飞过）、真珠（末）、雄黄（细研）、人参（去芦头）、白芍药（各半两），牛黄（细研）、远志（去心）、汉防己、白蔹（各一分），川大黄（锉碎，微炒）、茯神（各三分）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，加入已研的药，都研磨令均匀，炼蜜和丸如绿豆大。每次用薄荷汤送服三丸，每天三次。看儿童大小酌情加减服用。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫壮热，心神不定。犀角丸方。
犀角屑、麝香（各半两），朱砂、天竺黄、牛黄（并细研），干蝎（微炒。各一分），天南星（半分，炮裂）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，水浸，蒸饼，和丸如绿豆大。每次用薄荷汤送服三丸，每天三、四次。根据儿童大小酌情加减。

以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，炼蜜和丸如绿豆大。三岁儿童，用粥饮，研三丸服用。根据儿童大小酌情加减。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，频发不定。至宝丸方。
金银箔（各五十片，细研），川升麻、子芩、犀角屑、栀子仁、川大黄（锉碎，微炒），朱砂（细研，水飞过。各一两），铁粉、龙齿（并细研。各二两），麦门冬（一两半，去心，焙），蜣螂（三枚，去翅足，微炒）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，加入已研的药，同研令均匀，炼蜜和丸如麻子大。每次煎竹叶汤研下五丸。更根据儿童大小加减服用。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫烦热，眠卧不安。龙脑丸方。
龙脑（半分，细研），朱砂（一两，细研，水飞过），粉霜（半两，细研），铁粉、龙齿（各细研，二两），人参（三分，去芦头）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，加入已研的药，同研令均匀，炼蜜和丸如麻子大。不限时间，用粥饮送服五丸。更看儿童大小酌情加减。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫发热，搐搦不定。铅霜丸方。
铅霜（细研），马牙硝（各半两），朱砂（细研，水飞过），铁粉（细研。各一两），麝香（半分，细研），川大黄（锉碎，微炒），人参（去芦头。各三分），羌活、川芎、白茯苓、牛黄、干蝎（微炒）、龙胆（去芦头。各一分）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，加入已研的药，同研令均匀，炼蜜和丸如绿豆大。每次不限时间，用荆芥薄荷汤送服五丸。根据儿童大小酌情加减服用。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫。蛇黄丸方。
蛇黄（三枚大者，细研），麝香（半分），郁金（三分，为末），金银箔（各细研，五十片）。
以上药材同研令均匀，以粳米饭和丸如绿豆大。每次用磨刀水煎一、两沸，如人体大小，下三丸。更根据儿童大小酌情加减。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，体热羸瘦。钩藤煎方。
钩藤、沙参（去芦头。各一分），子芩、甘草（炙微赤，锉）、川升麻、知母（各半两），寒水石（三分），蚱蝉（二枚，去翅、足，微炙），蜣螂（二枚，去翅、足，微炙）。
以上药材捣碎，过筛成末，加入蜜五两，用慢火煎，炼为膏。每次用熟水调一杏仁大服用，每天三次。根据儿童大小酌情加减。
《圣惠方》治疗小儿惊痫，频频发动，经久不瘥，肌体瘦弱。蚱蝉煎方。
蚱蝉（三枚，去翅足，微炙），麻黄（去根节），钩藤（各一分），柴胡（去苗），白芍药、犀角屑、知母、沙参
Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Rhinoceros Horn Cortex (Xijiao) sliced, Du Huo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) (each 1 liang), Scorpion tail (Xie Shao), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Gastrodia Rhizome (Tianma) (each 0.5 liang).
The above ingredients are pounded and sifted into a fine powder. Each dose is 1 qian, boiled with 8 fen of water (approx. one cup), adding 2 slices of fresh ginger and 2 leaves of mint, decocted until 5 fen of water remains. Strain the dregs and take warm.
"Liu's Family Collection" records this formula for treating wind epilepsy and pediatric convulsive disorders.
Alternatively, use natural juice of banana stem, sipping one or two mouthfuls occasionally. For severe cases, taking up to 5 sheng will surely cure it. It also treats pediatric convulsive disorders. Shao Fuzhong Tongzhi stated: Adding musk is better. I saw Jiang Yuanming's secret record stating: For wind toothache (toothache caused by wind pathogen), with swelling and pain in the jaw and cheeks. Use one bowl of natural juice, decoct until 8 fen remains, gargle hot on the swollen area, stop when finished. All wind toothaches will be cured using this method.
Swelling of the jaw and cheeks with gum pain is wind toothache; swelling of gums without jaw/cheek swelling is dental caries/tooth decay.
"Ji's Family Collection" records this formula for treating all types of wind epilepsy.
Equisetum Hiemale (Mu Zei) (0.5 liang, powdered), Winter tea (La Cha) (1.5 qian).
The above ingredients are powdered and mixed evenly. Each dose is 1 qian, taken with water used for sharpening knives, at any time. After taking the medicine, consume a small amount of Ginseng.
"Ji's Family Collection" records this formula for treating heat-type wind epilepsy. Fushen Pills.
Poria Cum Radix (Fushen), Ferrum Oxydatum Rubrum (Tiefen), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) (each 8 fen), Dragon Bone (Longchi), Gardenia Fruit (Zhizi Ren), Scutellaria Root (Ziqin/Huangqin), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma) (each 6 fen), Ophiopogon Tuber (Mendongzi) (3 fen).
The above ingredients are powdered, mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of hemp seeds. Take before meals, washed down with rice water, 20-30 pills per dose.

Mercurius (Shuiyin), Realgar (Xionghuang), Snake Gallstone (Shehuang) (each 1 fen), Calomelas (Qingfen), Fresh Rhinoceros Horn (Shengxi) (powdered, each 2 qian).
Grind the mercury finely, add date flesh, and form pills of the size indicated by the circle symbol. Dissolve two pills in honey water and take.
"Nao Shi Bing Yuan" discusses the syndrome of pediatric convulsive epilepsy: Convulsive epilepsy arises from fright and loud crying, damaging and disturbing the spirit, causing unstable qi and pulses, leading to epilepsy due to fright. Initially, if one senses the child is about to be frightened, hold them tightly immediately, and the fright will subside naturally. Therefore, when raising children, one must be cautious to prevent fright and avoid exposing them to loud noises. When holding or carrying them, one should be calm and gentle, not causing fear. Additionally, during thunderstorms, block the child's ears and make other soft sounds to mask the thunder. Convulsive epilepsy should be treated according to diagrams with moxibustion and massage with ointments; drastic purgation should not be used. Why? Because convulsive epilepsy involves deficiency of heart qi; purgation leads to internal deficiency, making it difficult to treat. During an attack of any type of epilepsy, when limbs are spasmodic and contracted, do not forcibly grasp them, as this may cause deformity and loss of motor control.

"Luxin Jing" records formulas for treating 24 types of convulsive epilepsy in infants and young children, characterized by high fever, limb spasms, vomiting, night crying, and eye swelling. Tiger Eye Pills for calming convulsive epilepsy.
Tiger Eyes (Hu Jing) (one piece, "Shenghui Fang" uses a pair), Gardenia Fruit (Zhizi Ren), Poria (Fuling) (each 2 fen), Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang) (a little, "Shenghui Fang" uses 0.5 liang), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) (1 fen, "Shenghui Fang" uses 1 liang), Uncaria Ramulus cum Uncis (Gouteng), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang) (each 4 fen), Rhinoceros Horn (Xijiao) (powdered, 1 fen, "Shenghui Fang" uses 2 liang), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) (1 fen, "Shenghui Fang" uses 2 liang), Snake Slough (Shetui) (7 cun, "Shenghui Fang" uses 1 fen, burned to ash).
Powder the above ingredients, mix with honey to form pills the size of millet grains. Take on an empty stomach with cooked water, dosage based on age. Mild cases: one dose; severe cases: three doses. Milk can also be used. "Shenghui Fang" uses cooked water. The nursing mother must avoid all raw, cold, greasy, and toxic foods.
"Guangli Fang" records a treatment for infantile convulsive epilepsy presenting with unconsciousness, tongue biting, and upward staring.
Take Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang) the size of a soybean, grind, and take with honey water.
"Guangli Fang" records another formula for infantile convulsive epilepsy with unconsciousness, tongue biting, and upward staring.
Take half a qian bi of Rhinoceros Horn powder, mix with 3 he of water, and take. Effect is immediate.
"Ge Shi Zhou Hou" treats pediatric convulsive epilepsy with spasms.
Take eyes of a large snake (Da Chong) the size of a bean, roast over fire, mix with water, and take. Very effective.
"Ying Ru Fang" uses the fluid from tiger eyes to treat all types of epilepsy.
"Ge Shi Zhou Hou" has another formula.
Take 1 liang of Bear Bile (Xiongdan), the size of a bean, mix with milk and bamboo sap juice, and take. Both are good. It removes phlegm-fluid from the heart, very effective. The Gao family found it effective.
"Jin Gui Yao Lue": Fengyin Tang clears heat and primarily treats epilepsy. Shen Shi stated: Treats adult wind-drawing, pediatric convulsive epilepsy with spasms, occurring dozens of times a day, unresponsive to medical treatment, clearing heat.
Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang), Dragon Bone (Longgu) (each 4 liang), Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi) (3 liang, bark removed. "Qianjin Fang" uses 5 liang), Licorice Root (Gancao) (roasted), Oyster Shell (Muli) (each 2 liang, calcined. "Qianjin" uses 5 liang each. "Waitai" uses 3 liang each), Halloysitum Rubrum (Ningshuishi), Talcum (Huashi), Red Kaolin (Chishizhi), White Kaolin (Baishizhi), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao), Purple Quartz (Zi Shiyin) (each 6 liang. "Waitai" uses 8 liang each for these six).
Pound the above twelve ingredients, sieve coarsely, store in a leather bag. Take a pinch of three fingers, boil in 3 sheng of well water for three boils, strain, and take 1 sheng warm. "Nao Yuan": Hongjiao (Berberine-related condition?) should use Fengyin Tang.
"Qianjin Fang" Zishi Zhusan has the same medicinal ingredients as this formula for treating sores. "Waitai" Cui Shi Zishi Tang also has the same ingredients, but dosages differ, noted below. Note: In the second year of Yongjia, many children frequently suffered from wind epilepsy. Upon onset, they would fall and lose speech; or have fever and hemispasm; some died after 5-6 days, others after 7-8 days. Zhang Siwei compounded this powder, and all treated patients recovered.
This formula originally comes from Zhang Zhongjing's "Shanghan Lun".
"Qianjin Fang" Zhenxin Wan calms the mind and treats various pediatric convulsive epilepsies.
Silver flakes (Yinqian) (11 zhu), Mercury (Shuiyin) (20 zhu), Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang) (6 zhu), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang) (6 fen), Poria (Fuling) (3 fen), Poria Cum Radix (Fushen), Polygala Root (Yuanzhi) (heart removed), Podophyllum Emodi (Fangji), Ampelopsis Radix (Bailian), Realgar (Xionghuang) (separately ground), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Peony Root (Shaoyao) (each 2 fen), Podophyllum Hexandrum (Fang Kui), Iron Essence (Tiejing), Purple Quartz (Zi Shiyin), Pearl (Zhenzhu) (each 4 fen).
The above sixteen ingredients: first mix mercury and silver flakes like mud, then process other herbs separately and form pills. For a three-year-old, two pills the size of hemp seeds. Adjust according to the child's size. Another version excludes Calculus Bovis.
"Shi Yi Xin Jian" treats pediatric convulsive epilepsy.
Take one green sheep liver, slice thinly, wash with water, drain and dry. Eat with five-flavor sauce and vinegar.
"Shi Yi Xin Jian" treats pediatric convulsive epilepsy with unpredictable onset.
Take 3 he of pig milk, soak cotton in it, and let the child suckle. More is better.
"Shi Yi Xin Jian" treats pediatric high fever, continuous vomiting, and convulsive epilepsy.
Take 2 large qian of Polygonatum Multiflorum Starch (Ge Fen), mix with 2 he of water until uniform, pour into a pan, tilt to spread evenly, cook in boiling water until done. Mix with porridge and eat.
"Xian Ren Shui Jian" Tiannanxing Wan treats upper jiao phlegm obstruction in men and women, dizziness and vertigo, sore throat and swelling; pediatric convulsive epilepsy, morning fever, and all phlegm-fluid accumulation conditions.
Arisaema Cum Bile (Tiannanxing) (4 liang, washed in hot water, peel and remove core), Qizhou Pinellia (Banxia) (2 liang, same method).
Dry the above two ingredients, take 5 jin or more of fresh mint leaves, pound to extract natural juice (one bowl), soak the herbs in the juice, dry, until the juice is absorbed. Pound and sift into powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of wu zi (Cocculus trilobus fruit). Take 10-15 pills swallowed with ginger-mint decoction. For children, pills the size of millet grain, take 7-10 pills. For convulsions, swallow with gold-silver mint decoction; for heart heat obstruction, swallow with Schizonepeta-mint decoction. Take after meals and before bed.
"Xian Ren Shui Jian" miraculous formula for convulsive epilepsy in infants within 100 days.
Yellow pear juice and yellow pear flowers are particularly effective for convulsive epilepsy. Add 1 large fen of Natrii Sulfas (Yaxiao), and also add a small amount of Lead Oxide (Qianhua/Huangdan).
"Waitai": Shen Shi treats adult wind-drawing, pediatric convulsive epilepsy with spasms, occurring dozens of times a day, unresponsive to medical treatment, clearing heat.
Dragon Bone (Longgu), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang) (each 4 liang), Oyster Shell (Muli) (calcined), Talcum (Huashi), Red Kaolin (Chishizhi), White Kaolin (Baishizhi), Cinnamon Bark (Guixin), Licorice Root (Gancao) (roasted. Each 3 liang).
Pound the above nine ingredients, sieve, store in a leather bag. Adults take a pinch of three fingers, boil in 2 sheng of well water for three boils. When temperature is suitable, adults take 1 sheng, infants under 100 days take 1 he. If unable to drink, wrap cotton around chopstick tip, dip in soup, and place in infant's mouth as milk substitute. For high heat, take four times a day. Non-toxic, adjust as needed. Avoid seaweed, Chinese cabbage, and raw scallions. Another version lacks Dahuang, Chishizhi, Guixin, Gancao.
"Waitai": Cui Shi's immediate effective formula for sudden convulsive epilepsy.
Uncaria Ramulus cum Uncis (Gouteng Pi), Poria Cum Radix (Fushen), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), Dictamni Cortex (Baixianpi), Codonopsis Radix (Shashen) (each 2 liang), Dragon Bone (Longchi) (3 liang), Cicada Molt (Zhachan) (7 pieces, wings removed, roasted, ground, added when decoction is ready), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) (8 liang), Halloysitum Album (Han Shuishí) (6 liang, crushed and ground, wrapped), Bamboo Sap (Zhuli) (2 sheng, added when decoction is ready).
Cut the above eleven ingredients, boil in 9 sheng of water until 3 sheng remains. Take warm, divided into three doses, spaced 6-7 li apart. For infants/children, reduce dosages, sip slowly, effect is immediate. Avoid vinegar.
"Waitai": "Guangji Fang" treats pediatric convulsive epilepsy in emaciated children, decoction for maternal-infant five epilepsies.
Uncaria Ramulus cum Uncis (Gouteng) (2 fen), Anemarrhena Rhizome (Zhimu), Scutellaria Root (Ziqin) (each 4 fen), Licorice Root (Gancao) (roasted), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), Codonopsis Radix (Shashen) (each 3 fen), Halloysitum Album (Han Shuishí) (6 fen), Cicada Molt (Zhachan) (1 piece, wings removed, roasted), Dung Beetle (Qianglang) (3 pieces, roasted).
Pound and sieve the above nine ingredients. Mix with good honey and thin rice wash water, place in a copper bowl over boiling water, stir continuously until like maltose syrup. Once prepared, set aside a small portion. For a one-day-old infant, give one pill the size of a date pit, 5-6 times a day is safe; for 50-60 day old infants, 3 pills; for 100 day old infants, 4 pills; for 200-300 day old infants, 5 pills; for 3-year-old infants, 7 pills. Adjust according to judgment.
"Yao Xing Lun" treats pediatric convulsive epilepsy and external pathogenic invasion. Formula to calm the mind and spirit.
Musk (Shexiang Dangmenzi) (1 grain), Cinnabar (Dansha) (one piece, similar size).
Grind finely, administer with cooked water.
"Yao Xing Lun" treats pediatric convulsive epilepsy.
Burn Antelope Horn (Lingyangjiao) to ash, take a small amount with wine.
"Shenghui Fang" treats sudden pediatric convulsive epilepsy with high fever and dry mouth. Gouteng San.
Uncaria Ramulus cum Uncis (Gouteng), White Poria (Baifuling), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Chuanshengma), Dictamni Cortex (Baixianpi) (each 3 fen), Dragon Bone (Longchi), Scrophularia Root (Yuanshen), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao), Halloysitum Album (Han Shuishí) (each 1 liang).
Pound the above herbs, sieve coarsely into a powder. Each dose is 1 qian, decoct in one small cup of water until 5 fen remains, strain; add 0.5 he of bamboo sap, mix well, boil once or twice, divide into two warm doses. Adjust according to child's size.
"Shenghui Fang" treats pediatric convulsive epilepsy with unpredictable attacks. Shed Snake Skin San.
Shed Snake Skin (Shetuopi) (5 cun, roasted yellow), Cicada Molt (Zhachan) (10 pieces), Dung Beetle (Qianglang) (3 pieces, remove wings and legs, lightly roasted), Ephedra Herb (Mahuang) (remove roots and joints), Licorice Root (Gancao) (roasted slightly red, cut), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui) (cut, lightly fried), Asarum (Xixin), Astragalus Membranaceus (Huangqi) (cut. Each 0.5 liang), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) (3 fen, remove rhizome), Rheum Palmatum (Chuan Dahuang) (1 liang, cut, lightly fried).
Pound the above herbs, sieve coarsely into a powder. Each dose is 1 qian, decoct in one small cup of water until 5 fen remains, strain; add Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang) the size of two beans, mix well, take warm. Adjust according to child's size ("Ying Ru Fang" states: For children with weak constitution, replace Dahuang with 2 fen of Cinnamon Bark (Guixin) to treat all convulsive epilepsies. After initial recovery, if other diseases or wind epilepsy develop, it treats them all.)
