Jingxian (Convulsive Epilepsy triggered by fright) arises from being startled by strange objects, leading to the disorder of Shen Qi (Spirit and Vital Energy). Symptoms include protrusion of the tongue, urgent crying, and a complexion that alternates between pale and red. During an attack, the patient appears as if being hunted. Treatment involves using Anshen Daqing Gao (Calming Spirit Big Blue Ointment) and Zhenjing Wan (Calm Fright Pill).
[Note] In children, excessive heat in the Heart and Liver, occasionally triggered by pathogenic Fright, causes the collapse and disorder of Shen Qi, resulting in Xian Zheng (Epilepsy). During an attack, the tongue protrudes, there is urgent crying, the complexion alternates between red and white, and the child is terrified and uneasy, resembling someone being hunted. First administer Daqing Gao, then Zhenjing Wan, and the epilepsy will subside.
