暑风抽搐似惊风，烦渴汗热便黄红，先用加味香薷饮，继用玉露散即宁。
【注】暑风者，手足搐搦，状似惊风者也。由暑热攻肝，内生风病。其证烦渴，身热有
汗，二便黄赤。先宜加味香薷饮，疏其风；继以玉露散，清其热。暑热一解，而搐自止矣。
切不可当惊痫治之。
加味香薷饮
香薷 黄连 扁豆（炒） 羌活 浓朴（姜炒）
引用灯心，水煎服。
【方歌】加味香薷治暑风，香薷黄连扁豆同，浓朴姜炒羌活入，灯心煎服效从容。
玉露散（方见火泻）
暑厥昏眩不知人，气虚挟痰上冲心，虚者清暑益气治，挟痰益元抱龙均。
【注】暑厥之证，昏昧不省人事。因其人元气素虚，暑热冲心，或挟痰上冲，以致精
神昏愦。虚者以清暑益气汤治之，实者以辰砂益元散合抱龙丸治之。
清暑益气汤
人参 黄 （炙） 当归（酒洗） 白术（土炒） 甘草（炙） 陈皮 麦冬（去心） 五味子 青
皮（炒） 苍术（炒） 黄柏（酒炒） 升麻 葛根 泽泻 神曲（炒）
引用姜、枣，水煎服。
【方歌】清暑益气虚受暑，参 归术草陈皮，麦味青皮苍术柏，升葛泽泻炒神曲。
辰砂益元散
辰砂（水飞，三钱） 滑石（水飞，六两） 甘草（末，一两）
每用一钱，姜灯心汤调匀合抱龙丸服。
抱龙丸
黑胆星（九转者佳，四两） 天竺黄（一两） 雄黄（水飞） 辰砂（另研，各半两） 麝香（另研，
一钱）
上为细末，煮甘草膏和丸，皂荚子大，温水化下。
暑风引起的抽搐症状类似于惊风，伴有烦躁口渴、身体发热出汗、大小便黄赤。治疗时先用加味香薷饮，随后用玉露散即可平息。
【注】所谓暑风，是指手足搐搦，形态类似惊风。这是由于暑热之邪侵袭肝脏，导致内生风病。其症状表现为烦躁口渴，身体发热且有汗，二便颜色黄赤。治疗应先使用加味香薷饮以疏解风邪；继而又用玉露散以清除热邪。一旦暑热解除，抽搐自然停止。切不可将其当作惊痫来治疗。
加味香薷饮
药材包括：香薷、黄连、扁豆（炒制）、羌活、浓朴（姜汁炒制）。
煎服方法：引用灯心草为引，加水煎煮后服用。
【方歌】加味香薷饮治疗暑风，由香薷、黄连、扁豆组成，加入姜炒的浓朴和羌活，用灯心草煎服，疗效从容显著。
玉露散（方剂见“火泻”章节）
暑厥表现为昏眩且不知人事，多因气虚兼挟痰浊上冲于心。体质虚弱者宜用清暑益气汤治疗，兼挟痰浊者则益元散与抱龙丸均可使用。
【注】暑厥的症状是神志昏昧，不省人事。这是因为患者元气素来虚弱，暑热之邪冲犯心脏，或者挟带痰浊上冲，导致精神昏乱。对于虚证，使用清暑益气汤治疗；对于实证（或挟痰），使用辰砂益元散合抱龙丸治疗。
清暑益气汤
药材包括：人参、黄芪（炙制）、当归（酒洗）、白术（土炒）、甘草（炙制）、陈皮、麦冬（去心）、五味子、青皮（炒制）、苍术（炒制）、黄柏（酒炒制）、升麻、葛根、泽泻、神曲（炒制）。
煎服方法：引用生姜、大枣为引，加水煎煮后服用。
【方歌】清暑益气汤适用于气虚受暑，由人参、当归、白术、甘草、陈皮组成，加上麦冬、五味子、青皮、苍术、黄柏，以及升麻、葛根、泽泻和炒神曲。
辰砂益元散
药材包括：辰砂（水飞法处理，三钱）、滑石（水飞法处理，六两）、甘草（研末，一两）。
用法：每次取一钱，用姜汤和灯心草汤调匀，配合抱龙丸服用。
抱龙丸
药材包括：黑胆星（九转者为佳，四两）、天竺黄（一两）、雄黄（水飞法处理）、辰砂（单独研磨，各半两）、麝香（单独研磨，一钱）。
制作与用法：将上述药材研成细末，用煮制的甘草膏调和制成丸药，大小如皂荚子，用温水化开送服。
Summerheat wind causes convulsions resembling infantile convulsion (Jing Feng), accompanied by irritability, thirst, fever with sweating, and yellow-red urine and stool. Initially use Jiawei Xiangru Yin (Modified Elsholtzia Decoction), followed by Yulu San (Jade Dew Powder) to bring relief.
[Note] Summerheat wind is characterized by spasms of the hands and feet, resembling infantile convulsion. It arises from summerheat-heat attacking the Liver, generating internal wind pathology. The symptoms include irritability and thirst, fever with sweating, and yellow-red urine and stool. Treatment should first employ Jiawei Xiangru Yin to disperse wind; subsequently, Yulu San is used to clear heat. Once the summerheat is resolved, the spasms will cease naturally. It must not be treated as infantile epilepsy (Jing Xian).
Jiawei Xiangru Yin (Modified Elsholtzia Decoction)
Ingredients: Moslae Herba (Xiangru), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Fabae Semen Preparatum (Bian Dou, stir-fried), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Nongpu, stir-fried with ginger juice).
Administration: Use Juncus effusus (Dengxin) as a guide ingredient, decoct in water and take orally.
[Fang Ge] Jiawei Xiangru treats summerheat wind, combining Moslae Herba, Coptidis Rhizoma, and Fabae Semen; add Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex stir-fried with ginger and Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix; decoct with Juncus effusus for effective and steady results.
Yulu San (See formula under "Fire Diarrhea")
Summerheat syncope presents with dizziness and loss of consciousness, caused by Qi deficiency combined with phlegm rushing upward to the Heart. For deficiency patterns, treat with Qingshu Yiqi Tang (Clear Summerheat and Tonify Qi Decoction); for patterns with phlegm, Yiyuan San (Benefit Origin Powder) and Baolong Wan (Embrace Dragon Pill) are both suitable.
[Note] The manifestation of summerheat syncope is mental confusion and unconsciousness. This occurs because the patient's primordial Qi is inherently deficient, allowing summerheat-heat to rush to the Heart, or carrying phlegm upward, resulting in mental obtundation. For deficiency, treat with Qingshu Yiqi Tang; for excess/phlegm patterns, treat with Chen Sha Yiyuan San (Cinnabar Benefit Origin Powder) combined with Baolong Wan.
Qingshu Yiqi Tang (Clear Summerheat and Tonify Qi Decoction)
Ingredients: Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Astragali Radix (Huangqi, honey-fried), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, wine-rinsed), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, earth-stir-fried), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, honey-fried), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, heart removed), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Qingpi, stir-fried), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu, stir-fried), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, wine-fried), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), Puerariae Lobatae Radix (Gegen), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie), Ziziphi Spinosae Semen Preparatum (Shenqu, stir-fried).
Administration: Use Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang) and Jujubae Fructus (Dazao) as guide ingredients, decoct in water and take orally.
[Fang Ge] Qingshu Yiqi treats deficiency suffering from summerheat, comprising Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium; plus Ophiopogonis Radix, Schisandrae Fructus, Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, Atractylodis Rhizoma, and Phellodendri Cortex; along with Cimicifugae Rhizoma, Puerariae Lobatae Radix, Alismatis Rhizoma, and stir-fried Ziziphi Spinosae Semen Preparatum.
Chen Sha Yiyuan San (Cinnabar Benefit Origin Powder)
Ingredients: Cinnabar (water-triturated, 3 qian), Talcum (Shihu, water-triturated, 6 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (powdered, 1 liang).
Usage: Take 1 qian each time, mix evenly with Ginger Decoction and Juncus effusus Decoction, and administer together with Baolong Wan.
Baolong Wan (Embrace Dragon Pill)
Ingredients: Arisaemae Cum Bile (Heidanxing, preferably nine-circulated, 4 liang), Bambusae Tabula (Tianzhuhuang, 1 liang), Realgar (Xionghuang, water-triturated), Cinnabar (Chensha, separately ground, half liang each), Moschus (Shexiang, separately ground, 1 qian).
Preparation and Usage: Grind all ingredients into fine powder, mix with liquorice paste prepared by boiling, form pills the size of soap beans, and dissolve in warm water for oral administration.
