**Initial stage of warts and tumors:** Take more than ten rice flower spiders (spiders found in rice fields) and place them on peach tree branches. Wait for their silk to hang down, select the silk hanging from the east side, twist it into a cotton-like thread, and tie it around the affected area. Change it every seven days; the warts will naturally fall off. (*Zongwei Lun*)
**For all types of warts, moles, polyps, and corns:** Take one *jin* (approx. 500g) of weathered calcined stone (Fenghua Duanshi), one *jin* of mulberry wood ash (Sangchaihui), and six *liang* (approx. 300g) of fresh *Weilingxian* (Caulis Aristolochiae Manshuriensis). Decoct the fresh herb to make a strong decoction. Use this decoction to percolate through the two types of ashes to extract the juice. Boil the extracted juice until it becomes a thin paste. Store in porcelain vessels. When applying, dab directly onto the affected area without needing to puncture the skin; it will be removed promptly. (*Zhongfutang Fang*)
**Pink moles on the face:** Burn Motherwort Herb (Yimucao) to ash. Mix equal parts of this ash with Yingtiaoshi (a mineral drug). Blend uniformly and apply as a poultice to the lesion; the mole will disappear naturally. (*Chuanjiabao*)
**Mo Jian Dan (Hardness-Grinding Pill):** Obtain the inner yellow membrane of the chicken gizzard (Jineijin) from a true hen. Do not wash with water. Remove any dregs. Rub the hard wart repeatedly with this membrane until it disappears after several applications. Bury the used membrane in the soil and press it down with an object. (*Yangke Xuanzi*)
**Another method:** Upon hearing the call of an eagle (the cry used by hawkers catching chickens), secretly stroke the wart three times with your hand. After several repetitions, the wart will vanish naturally. (Ibid.)
**Dian Zhi San (Mole-Eliminating Powder):** Take one hundred grains of glutinous rice (Nuomi), one piece of calcined stone (Duanshi) the size of a thumb, and three kernels of Croton Seed (Badou) with shells removed. Grind them together into a fine powder. Place in a porcelain bottle and seal/store underground for three days. When using, pick up a grain-sized amount slightly larger than a millet seed with a bamboo stick and dab it onto the mole; it will naturally erode and fall off. (Ibid.)
**Another method:** Use the juice obtained by leaching ash from eggplant stems to dab the lesion. (*Bencao Gangmu*)
**Convenient method for removing moles:** Use a small amount of silver [instrument] to rub or dab the spot; the mole will fall off naturally. (*Zhuyou Ke*)
**Tinea versicolor (Hanshan):** Take three chi (approx. 1 meter) of blue cloth and add an unspecified amount of *Wasong* (Radix Sedii Tetrifoli). Decoct in water to make a strong liquid, then strain. Add a small amount of Realgar powder (Xinshi) to the decoction. Boil the blue cloth in this mixture until dry. Dip the dried cloth in cool water and wipe the affected area. Repeat several times to eradicate the root cause. (*Xia Shi Jianyi Fang*)
**Another method:** Take three cuttlefish bones (Haibiao), three qian (approx. 15g) each of Sulfur (Liuhuang), Saltpeter (Yanxiao), and Alum (Baifan). Grind into a powder. Rub the affected area with ginger slices and vinegar; immediate effect is observed. (*Fangchao*)
**White-spot tinea versicolor:** Decoct Prunella Vulgaris (Xiakucao) to make a strong liquid. Wash the area daily with this liquid. (*Xiuzhen Fang*)
**Red and white tinea versicolor:** Take equal parts of Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii Preparata (Baifuzi) and Sulfur (Liuhuang). Grind into a powder. Mix with ginger juice to form a thin paste. Dip eggplant stalks (Qidi) into the mixture and rub the affected area. (*Cangsheng Siming*)
**Vitiligo-like tinea versicolor:** On the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, collect purple-backed Duckweed (Zibei Fuping). Dry it thoroughly. Each time, take four *liang* (approx. 200g), decoct in water for bathing, and also use the duckweed to rub the body. Alternatively, add two *qian* (approx. 10g) of Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae (Hanfangji). (*Jingyan Liangfang*)
**Summer tinea versicolor resembling rash:** Take eight *qian* (approx. 40g) of Litharge (Mituo seng) and four *qian* (approx. 20g) of Realgar (Xionghuang). First, rub the affected area with a ginger slice to generate heat. Then, dip another ginger slice into the powder and rub the area. The lesion will turn black and scab over the next day. (*Huoren Xinshu*)
**Another method:** Burn wheat grass to ash. Pour the ash into boiling water. Wash the area hot four or five times to achieve a cure. (*Jingxiuzhai Fang*)
