上药共为末。左牙疼。以半匙吹入右鼻孔。右牙疼。则吹入左鼻孔。急解奇方也。

将上述药物共同研磨成粉末。如果是左侧牙齿疼痛，用半匙药粉吹入右侧鼻孔；如果是右侧牙齿疼痛，则吹入左侧鼻孔。这是紧急情况下解除痛苦的奇特方剂。
治疗牙痛，兼治喉痹（咽喉肿痛闭塞之症）。

治疗口疮，以及小儿走马牙疳（一种发病迅速、腐蚀严重的口腔疾病）也有效。

将上述药物研成细末。先用清米泔水漱口，然后敷药，立即见效。
（兼治小儿痘疹后余毒引发的走马牙疳，表现为牙龈黑烂、流血、脸颊穿孔、喉咙溃烂、牙齿脱落甚至危及生命的重症，此方百发百中。）
人中白（五钱）、蚕蜕纸（二钱五分，烧成灰）、五倍子（生用一钱，另取一钱与白矾二钱打碎，放入五倍子中同炒）。
将上述药物研磨成粉末。先用米泔水将口腔漱洗干净，然后敷药。
另一方的组成是川椒、樟脑、薄荷等量混合。按照上述左侧吹鼻的方法使用也有效。
艾叶（五分）、川椒（七粒，需开口者）、樟脑（三钱）。
将上述药物盛放在碗中，上面再扣上一个碗，使其紧密贴合，用纸密封固定。下方用一小块如鸡蛋大小的炭火烘烤。点燃佛手香一寸长。
妙用：磨房驴粪泥烧成灰，趁热用青布包裹，敷在牙痛处。患者会流出大量唾液进入碗中如水一般，观察可见碗上有虫，神效。
杨梅根皮、韭菜根白色部分、厨房案板上刮下的泥土，这三味药等量捣匀，贴敷在两腮上半小时，虫子会从眼角爬出。
五倍子（一个），钻一个小孔，填满盐，用火煅烧后研磨成末，擦拭数次，永不复发。
用一个大蒜，加入水粉（主要成分为砒霜的毒药，此处指含砷矿物药或特定解毒辅料，古籍中常指代含砷制剂或特定处理过的矿物，结合下文“砒”字，此处可能指代含砷类外用制剂或笔误，但依原文翻译为水粉）一同捣烂如泥，做成一个饼状，敷贴在外部腮颊对应牙齿的位置。如果左下牙第几个疼，就贴在那个位置。
又一方：
将砒霜研成粉末，用黄蜡熔化，加入半分砒霜粉末，再加入棉花制成丸药，大小如丁香，长约一寸的竹丝作为柄。临睡前，塞入耳内。
Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Realgar (Xionghuang), Frankincense Resin (Ruxiang, processed to remove oil), Myrrh Resin (Moyao, processed to remove oil), Gypsum Fibrosum (Sheng Shigao) (each 2 qian), Natrii Sulfas (Xiao, 5 qian).
Grind the above medicines into powder. For left-sided toothache, blow half a spoonful of powder into the right nostril; for right-sided toothache, blow it into the left nostril. This is an ingenious prescription for urgent relief.
Treats toothache and also treats Hou Bi (obstruction and swelling of the throat).
Saltpeter Yanxiao (Yan Xiao, 1 liang), Official Borax (Guan Peng, 5 qian), Borneol (Bingpian, 5 fen), Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiangcan, 1 qian).
Grind the above medicines into powder and sprinkle on the affected area.
Treats Kou Chuang (mouth ulcers) and is also effective for Xiao Er Zou Ma Ya Gan (a rapidly progressing, severe form of necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis in children).
Chinese Gall (Wubeizi), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai), Alum Calcined (Kufan), Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai), Borax (Pengsha), Human Waste Deposit (Renzhongbai), Ash from Brown Cloth (Hezi Hui).
Grind the above medicines into fine powder. First rinse the mouth with clear rice water, then apply the medicine for immediate effect.
(Also effectively treats severe cases of Zou Ma Ya Gan caused by residual toxins after smallpox/rash in children, characterized by blackened and rotting gums, bleeding, perforation of the cheeks, destruction of the throat, loss of teeth, and life-threatening conditions; this prescription is hundred percent effective.)
Human Waste Deposit (Renzhongbai, 5 qian), Silkworm Molt Paper (Cantui Zhi, 2.5 qian, calcined), Chinese Gall (Wubeizi, raw 1 qian, plus another 1 qian mixed with 2 qian of Alum Bai Fan, crushed, and stir-fried with the gall).
Grind the above medicines into powder. First rinse the mouth thoroughly with rice water, then apply the medicine.
Another formula consists of Sichuan Pepper (Chuanjiao), Camphor (Zhangbing), and Mint Herb (Bohe) in equal parts. Using it according to the aforementioned method of blowing into the opposite nostril is also effective.
Mugwort Leaf (Ai, 5 fen), Sichuan Pepper (Chuanjiao, 7 grains, scored open), Camphor (Zhangnao, 3 qian).
Place the above medicines in a bowl, cover tightly with another bowl, seal with paper, and roast over a small piece of charcoal the size of an egg. Burn one inch of Buddha's Incense.
Miraculous use: Calcinate mud from mill donkey dung, wrap while hot in green cloth, and apply to the site of toothache. Saliva will flow into the bowl like water; upon inspection, insects are seen on the bowl. Divine efficacy.
Root bark of Bayberry (Yangmei Genpi), white part of Chinese Chive Root (Jiucai Genbai), and mud scraped from kitchen cutting boards. Mix these three ingredients in equal proportions until uniform, apply to both cheeks for half an hour, and the insects will emerge from the corners of the eyes.
One Chinese Gall (Wubeizi), drill a small hole, fill with salt, calcine/fire-roast, grind into powder, and rub several times. It will never recur.
Use one clove of garlic, mix with Shuifen (water powder/mineral arsenic preparation) and pound into a paste. Form into a cake and apply externally to the cheek corresponding to the painful tooth. If the nth tooth on the lower left side hurts, apply there.
Another formula:
Grind Arsenic Trioxide (Pi) into powder, melt Yellow Wax (Huangla), add half a fen of Arsenic Trioxide powder, mix with cotton wool to form pills the size of a Clove Bud (Dingxiang). Attach a bamboo filament about one cun long as a handle. Before sleep, insert into the ear.
