发。不可治。

鱼、葱、发气、动风的食物。又要忌穿麻布、夏布做的衣服和帐子，以及忌在麻地、茄地、赤豆地上行走。触犯这些禁忌会复发，不可治愈。
Real Orpiment (Wuqian, 5 qian), taken with half a zhong of Sesame Oil by mixing and swallowing, cures immediately. There is no need to avoid salt or any salty foods.
Crush the root of Narcissus (Shuixianhuagen) into a paste, add one or two zhongs of Baijiu (white liquor), squeeze out the juice. Inhale and drink through a brush tube; within a short while, vomiting and diarrhea will occur, leading to recovery.
Another prescription
Licorice Root (Gancao) and Apricot Seed (Xingren) in equal parts. Chew thoroughly in the mouth and apply to the affected area.

A mad dog is identified by its protruding tongue and drooping tail.
Mylabris (Banmao, 7 specimens), remove heads, feet, and wings. Stir-fry with a pinch of rice until yellow, discard the rice, and grind into powder. Form pills using wheat flour paste, sized like sophora seeds. Take with warm wine.
Wait for urination
Use Indigo Naturalis juice (Dianzhi) [to assist].
Transparent Real Orpiment (Touming Xionghuang, 3 qian) and Musk (Shexiang, 5 fen), ground together into powder. Take 2 qian mixed with wine. The patient should fall into a deep sleep after ingestion; wait for them to wake up naturally.
To expel toxic substances via defecation.
This herb grows one to two chi high. Its leaves resemble those of Hawthorn (Shanzha), with a purple underside, and there are tubers under the roots. If using the roots, use only 2 qian. Two doses are sufficient for cure.
Purple-backed Tiankui Leaves (Zibeitiankuieye, 3 qian), boiled in aged wine and drunk as much as possible. For severe cases, take three doses; for mild cases, one dose. After ingestion, blood water is transformed and expelled, leading to recovery. Full recovery occurs within seven days.
Another prescription
Mylabris (Banmao, 7 specimens, remove heads, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice; add one specimen daily after seven days), Real Orpiment (Xionghuang, 1 qian), Musk (Shexiang, 1 fen, do not use for children), Talcum (Huashi).
Grind all ingredients together into powder. Those who can drink alcohol should take 3 qian with wine; those who cannot should take 3 qian with rice gruel. The toxin may be expelled through urine or feces, or through vomiting, resulting in cure.
Another prescription
Men can be cured within twenty-one days. Women can be cured within fourteen days.
Mylabris (Banmao, 7 specimens, remove heads, feet, wings, stir-fry with rice, discard rice; reduce dosage for weak patients), Raw Rhubarb Root (Sheng Dahuang, 5 qian), Honeysuckle Flower (Jinyinhua, 3 qian), Stiff Silkworm (Jiangcan, 7 specimens). Decoct with one bowl of wine and one bowl of water until half a bowl remains. Take on a full stomach. Wait for blood clots to be passed in urine; toxicity is considered resolved only when urine becomes clear and colorless. Afterwards,
eat one bowl of warm porridge.
Avoid fish, green onions, foods that cause qi stagnation, and foods that stir up wind. Also avoid wearing ramie cloth or summer linen clothes and mosquito nets, and avoid walking on grounds where hemp, eggplants, or adzuki beans are grown. Violating these taboos causes recurrence, which is incurable.
