酒水各半钟。煎七分不可过熟。熟则不效。露一夜。临发日五更天温服。勿令妇人煎药。

为末。姜汁打米粉糊为丸。每服三钱。服完全愈。

将两者一同捣烂，包裹在眉心处。在疟疾发作前半天贴上。过了发作时间就取下。如果贴的时间过长，皮肤会起泡。但必须等疟疾发作过三到五次之后才能使用。
常山（二钱，用鸡油炒制） 槟榔（雌雄各一钱，尖端的是雄性，平坦的是雌性） 知母 贝母（各一钱五分）
用水和酒各半钟，煎至七分熟，不可煎得过久。煎得太久则药效不佳。露天放置一夜。在发作当天的五更天温热服用。不要让妇女煎药。
此方屡试屡验。吟按：此方中的白砒，必须在瓦片上加热，直到烟完全散尽。否则毒性极大，会致人死亡。
白砒（二钱） 明雄黄（八钱） 朱砂（用水飞法处理作为包衣）
研成细末。在端午节午时，用七家粽子的尖角部分做成丸剂，大小如绿豆，用朱砂作为包衣。成人每次服五丸，小儿每次服三丸，用无根水送服。
治疗疟疾如神效。
首乌（五钱） 当归 牛膝（各一钱） 陈皮 青皮（各一钱五分） 用水和酒各一钟，煎煮后露天放置一夜。在发作当天五更时使用，隔水炖热后服用。
又一方
治疗久患疟疾导致身体虚弱的人。
鸡蛋两个打散，加入白糖一两，搅拌均匀，蒸熟后食用，疟疾立即停止。
治疗四日疟有效。

Pound them together into a paste and apply to the glabella. Apply half a day before the onset of malaria. Remove it after the episode has passed; leaving it on too long will cause blisters. This method should only be used after the malaria has occurred three to five times.
Dichroa febrifuga Radix (2 qian, stir-fried with chicken oil) Areca seed (1 qian each for male and female types; those with pointed ends are male, those with flat ends are female) Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu) Fritillariae Bulbus (Beimu) (each 1.5 qian)
Decoct with half a zhong of water and half a zhong of wine until reduced to seventy percent. Do not overcook, as this will render it ineffective. Leave exposed to the air overnight. Take warm at wugeng time (3-5 AM) on the day of onset. Women should not prepare this medicine.
This formula has proven effective in repeated trials. Yin notes: Regarding Bai Pi (White Arsenic), it must be heated on a tile until all smoke dissipates completely. Otherwise, it is extremely toxic and fatal.
Bai Pi (White Arsenic) (2 qian) Ming Xiong Huang (Real Realgar) (8 qian) Cinnabar (Zhusha) (processed by water levigation for coating)
Grind into fine powder. On the noon hour (wushi) of the Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu), form pills using the tips of zongzi from seven different families, sized like mung beans, coated with Cinnabar. Adults take 5 pills; children take 3 pills, washed down with Wugen Water (rainwater collected without touching the ground).
It works miraculously for treating malaria.
Polygoni Multiflori Preparata Radix (Shouwu) (5 qian) Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi) (each 1 qian) Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) Citri Reticulatae Viride Pericarpium (Qingpi) (each 1.5 qian) Decoct with one zhong of water and one zhong of wine. Leave exposed to the air overnight. Use at wugeng time on the day of onset; heat via double-boiling before taking.
Another Formula
For treating chronic malaria patients who are deficient.
Crack two eggs and beat well. Add 1 liang of white sugar and mix evenly. Steam and eat. The malaria will stop immediately.
Effective for quartan malaria.
Mylabris (one per year of age, remove head, feet, and wings) Litharge (Miduoseng) (3 qian)
Grind into powder. Pound together with two soft persimmons. Apply to the umbilicus at wugeng time on the day of onset. Remove after one day.
Polygoni Multiflori Radix (Raw Shouwu) (8 qian) Adenophorae Radix (Shashen) Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Guishen) Prunellae Spica (Xiakucao) Citri Reticulatae Viride Pericarpium (Qingpi) (8 fen) Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Sheng Gan) (3 fen) Decoct with half a zhan of water and half a zhan of wine. Take two doses on the day following the onset for recovery.

Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) (4 liang) Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia) (2 liang)
Grind into powder. Mix with ginger juice and rice flour paste to form pills. Take 3 qian per dose. Complete course leads to cure.

For treating "four-day alternating" malaria.
Dichroa febrifuga Radix (Changshan) (3 qian) Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) (3 qian) Areca seed (Binglang) (3 qian) Eugeniae Caryophyllatus Flos (Zidingxiang) (5 fen) Mume Fructus (Wumei) (3 pieces) Streblae Semen (Baidingxiang) (5 fen) Decoct with half a zhan of water and half a zhan of wine. Take at jiming time (cockcrow). After the symptoms cease, take Buzhong Yiqi Tang. This medicine can be ground into powder and distributed charitably.
