滞颐者，脾胃虚冷，涎流出而渍于颐间，不能收约，大宜温脾，姜术散主之，或八仙
糕。加木香、白蔻仁亦妙。
姜术散
半夏 木香（各五钱） 川白姜 白术 青皮 陈皮（各二钱五分）
糕糊丸，麻子大，一岁十丸，米饮下。
八仙糕
人参（五钱） 苡仁 芡实 山药 茯苓 莲肉（各四两） 白米粉（五升） 白洋糖（任用）
脐为有生之蒂，内通脏腑，偶或汁出，或赤肿，或生疮，俱为风湿相乘，当用白石脂
末焙，出火气敷之，日三度，或油发灰敷，或当归末敷，或虾蟆灰敷，亦可。
安脐散
瓜蒂 南星 白敛 赤小豆
断脐时，以四药等分为末，每三钱，用芭蕉自然汁，调涂四傍，能去湿固气。
王介庭曰∶断脐时，以蕲艾为捻子，香油浸湿，烧脐带至焦方断，断后用软帛浓棉
裹束，每日看之，勿令儿尿浸润。可以预防脐风。
杨涵一曰∶脐带落下，放新瓦上， 存性，碾细，每一分，用飞过朱砂五厘和匀，外
以黄连、当归、生地煎汁，调成稀糊，搽乳上，与儿吮吃，一日令尽，次日挞下黑粪，可
免痘密，且无疮痕。
言心声也，母有惊邪，儿感其气，心神不守，舌本不通，菖蒲丸主之。
菖蒲丸
人参 麦冬 川芎 当归 远志 菖蒲（各二钱） 乳香 朱砂（各一钱）
蜜丸麻子大，每服十丸，粳米汤下。
滞颐（流口水），是由于脾胃虚寒，导致涎液流出并浸渍于面颊之间，无法收敛控制。治疗上非常适宜温补脾阳，主方使用姜术散，或者服用八仙糕。若加入木香、白蔻仁，效果也很好。
姜术散
半夏、木香（各五钱）；川干姜、白术、青皮、陈皮（各二钱五分）。
制成糊丸，大小如麻子，一岁的婴儿每次服用十丸，用米汤送服。
八仙糕
人参（五钱）；薏苡仁、芡实、山药、茯苓、莲肉（各四两）；白米粉（五升）；白糖（适量）。
肚脐是生命生成的蒂结，内部连通脏腑。偶尔有液体渗出，或发红肿胀，或生疮疡，这都是风湿邪气相乘所致。应当使用白石脂粉末，经烘焙去除火气后外敷，每日三次；或者使用油发灰外敷，或者使用当归粉末外敷，或者使用蛤蟆灰外敷，也可以。
安脐散
瓜蒂、天南星、白敛、赤小豆。
在断脐时，将上述四种药物等分为末，每次取三钱，用芭蕉自然汁调和，涂抹在脐部四周，能够祛湿固气。
王介庭说：断脐时，用蕲艾做成捻子，用香油浸湿，点燃脐带至烧焦处再断开，断后用柔软的帛和厚棉包裹束缚，每天查看，不要让婴儿尿液浸润。这样可以预防脐风（新生儿破伤风）。
杨涵一说：脐带脱落后，放在新瓦片上，存性（保留药性），碾成细粉，每一分（重量单位），配合飞过朱砂五厘混合均匀，另外用黄连、当归、生地煎煮成汁，调成稀糊状，涂抹在乳头（乳头上）上，让婴儿吮吸吃下，一天内吃完，第二天会排出黑色粪便，可以避免痘疹密集，且不留疮痕。
言语是心声的外露。如果母亲受到惊邪，婴儿感应了这种气息，导致心神不守，舌根不通利，主方使用菖蒲丸。

人参、麦冬、川芎、当归、远志、石菖蒲（各二钱）；乳香、朱砂（各一钱）。
制成蜜丸，大小如麻子，每次服用十丸，用粳米汤送服。
Drooling (Zhi Yi) is caused by deficiency-cold of the Spleen and Stomach, leading to saliva flowing out and soaking the cheeks, unable to be controlled. Treatment should strongly warm the Spleen; Jiang Shu San (Ginger and Atractylodes Powder) is the primary formula, or Ba Xian Gao (Eight Immortals Cake). Adding Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix) and Bai Kou Ren (Amomi Fructus Rotundus) is also excellent.
Jiang Shu San (Ginger and Atractylodes Powder)
Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix) (each 5 qian); Chuan Bai Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum), Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Qing Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) (each 2.5 qian).
Made into pills with paste, size of hemp seeds. For a one-year-old infant, administer 10 pills per dose, taken down with rice water.
Ba Xian Gao (Eight Immortals Cake)
Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (5 qian); Yi Yi Ren (Coicis Semen), Qian Shi (Euryales Semen), Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma), Fu Ling (Poria), Lian Rou (Nelumbinis Plumula) (each 4 liang); Bai Mi Fen (White Rice Flour) (5 sheng); Bai Yang Tang (White Cane Sugar) (as needed).
The umbilicus is the stalk of life generation, internally connecting to the Zang-Fu organs. Occasionally, fluid exudes, or it becomes red and swollen, or sores develop; these are all due to Wind-Dampness pathogens attacking. One should use powder of Bai Shi Zhi (Alumen), baked to remove fire heat, applied externally, three times a day. Alternatively, apply You Fa Hui (Ash from oil-treated hair), Dang Gui powder (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), or Xia Ma Hui (Ash from toad), which are also effective.
An Qi San (Umbilical Stabilizing Powder)
Gua Di (Cucumeris Fructus), Nan Xing (Arisaematis Rhizoma), Bai Lian (Bletillae Rhizoma), Chi Xiao Dou (Vigna Adzuki).
At the time of cutting the umbilical cord, mix the four medicines in equal parts into powder. Take 3 qian each time, mix with natural juice of Ba Jiao (Musa Paradisiaca), and apply around the four sides of the umbilicus. This can eliminate dampness and consolidate Qi.
Wang Jieting said: At the time of cutting the umbilical cord, use Qi Ai (Artemisia argyi) made into a wick, soaked in sesame oil, ignite the umbilical cord until it burns to a charred state before cutting. After cutting, wrap tightly with soft cloth and thick cotton. Check daily to prevent infiltration by infant urine. This can prevent Qi Feng (Neonatal Tetanus).
Yang Hanyi said: After the umbilical cord falls off, place it on a new tile, preserve its nature (retain medicinal properties), grind into fine powder. Take 1 fen (weight unit), mix evenly with 5 li of Guo Fei Zhu Sha (Cinnabaris processed with water). Separately, decoct Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), and Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) into juice. Mix with the powder to form a thin paste. Apply to the nipple, let the infant suck and swallow. Finish within one day. The next day, black stool will be passed. This can prevent dense pox and leave no scar marks.
Speech is the expression of the heart's voice. If the mother has been affected by Startling Evil, the infant may sense this Qi, causing the Heart Spirit to lose its residence and the root of the tongue to become obstructed. Chang Pu Wan (Acorus Pill) is the primary formula.
Chang Pu Wan (Acorus Pill)
Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Chuan Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix), Chang Pu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) (each 2 qian); Ru Xiang (Boswelliae Resina), Zhu Sha (Cinnabaris) (each 1 qian).
Made into honey pills, size of hemp seeds. Take 10 pills per dose, taken down with Jing Mi Tang (Rice Decoction).
