The *Huangdi Sanbu Zhenjiu Jing* (Yellow Emperor's Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) states: Swelling and pain in the lower abdomen, with inability to urinate, indicates pathogenic factors affecting the Triple Burner (Sanjiao, 三焦). This disease is named "Sanjiao Yue" (Contraction/Restriction of the Triple Burner). Internal blockage leads to the inability to pass both stool and urine.
Treatment methods and formulas are as follows:
**Shunqi Wan (Smooth Qi Pill)**: Treats Sanjiao Yue. Symptoms include swelling and pain in the lower abdomen, and inability to pass both stool and urine.
Ingredients: Mugwort Wood (Muxiang, 木香, 2 liang), Green Tangerine Peel (Qingju Pi, 青橘皮, soaked in decoction, white pith removed, dried, 1 liang), Ginseng (Renshen, 人参, 2 liang), Red Poria (Chifuling, 赤茯苓, black skin removed, 1 liang), Apricot Seed (Yuliren, 郁李仁, 8 liang), Kansui Root (Gansui, 甘遂, bran-fried until slight smoke appears). The above six herbs are crushed, sifted into fine powder. Take an appropriate amount each time, administered with salt water.
**Yuliren Wan (Apricot Seed Pill)**: Treats Sanjiao Yue. Its function is to unblock and guide both stool and urine.
