少阳相火司天，厥阴风木在泉，中运为太羽水。岁水太过，气化运行先于天时。相火位于上方，左间气为阳明，右间气为太阴，因此天气清正而政令严酷。厥阴位于下方，左间气为少阴，右间气为太阳，因此政令扰动。风气突然兴起，树木倒伏、沙尘飞扬；炎火流动，阴气在阳气中运行化育，雨水按时降临。火与木同德，上应荧惑星（火星）。其对应的谷物为红色和青色。
百姓易患寒中病，出现呕吐、上部郁结肿胀等症状。这一年，阳气代表天气，阴气代表地气。天气充盈，地气虚弱，应当取用火的气化本源。然而水运居中，火气受到抑制，不必特别调理中焦。
上半年由相火主事。相火之气，其变化从本。火气过盛，则温热之气流行，金气政令不平，百姓易患头痛、疮疡等疾病。治疗宜用苦味和甘味药物。
下半年由厥阴主事。厥阴之气，不从标本，而从乎少阳的中气。此时风气从火化，二气得行。涉及心脏、身体疼痛等症。这是木的纪年。
凡六十日八十七刻半，主位为太角木。施行春令，地气迁移，风胜则摇动，寒气离去。热气郁结于上，导致血溢、目赤、咳嗽逆气、头痛、血伤等症。治法为泻之，用酸味收敛。岁谷宜选红色，间谷宜选豆类。第二气，自春分日午正至小满日辰正，共六十余日，主位为少征火，客气为太阴土，中见水运。火土相加，上见少阳，火反被郁，白埃四起，云气趋向。涉及疼痛、谷物、中焦、溢泄、甘味、日期、炎热暑气等。商金，阳气离去，寒气到来，雨水下降。以苦味补之，以咸味泻之，以……不要触犯寒气，所谓用寒远寒。终之气，自小雪日子正至大寒……羽水，客气厥阴木，中见水运，水当其位，与木相得，以行……生。雾以行。其病为关门不固不禁，心痛，阳气不藏而咳嗽。其法为以辛味补之，以酸味泻之，以甘味缓之。岁谷宜选青色，间谷……其气专一，其化淳厚，胜气自然微弱，不必记录其复气。
Shaoyang Xianghuo (Ministerial Fire) governs the Heaven, Jueyin Fengmu (Wind-Wood) resides on Earth, and the central Yun (Five Movements) is Taiyu Water. The year's Water is excessive, and its Qi transformation operates ahead of the natural timing. Ministerial Fire is above; the left intercalary Qi is Yangming, and the right intercalary Qi is Taiyin. Thus, the Heavenly Qi is pure and its administration strict. Jueyin is below; the left intercalary Qi is Shaoyin, and the right intercalary Qi is Taiyang. Thus, the commands are disturbed. Wind rises suddenly, trees fall, and sand flies. Flaming fire flows. Yin moves within Yang and transforms. Rain falls at the appropriate time. Fire and Wood share the same virtue, corresponding to Yinghuo (Mars). Their grains are red and green/blue.
The people suffer from Cold in the Middle (Han Zhong), with vomiting, upper stagnation, and swelling. In this year, Yang represents Heavenly Qi, and Yin represents Earthly Qi. Heavenly Qi is full, while Earthly Qi is deficient. One should seek the source of Fire's transformation. However, since Water movement is in the center, Fire Qi is suppressed. There is no need to specifically regulate the Middle Jiao.
Before the middle of the year, Ministerial Fire presides. The Qi of Ministerial Fire transforms according to its root. When Fire excess prevails, warm Qi circulates freely, and the Metal administration is unbalanced. The people suffer from headache and sores/ulcers. Treatment should employ Bitter and Sweet flavors.
After the middle of the year, Jueyin presides. The Qi of Jueyin does not follow the Biao or Ben but follows the Central Qi of Shaoyang. At this time, wind transforms from fire. The two Qi move. It involves the Heart, body pain, etc. This is the cycle of Wood.
For sixty days and eighty-seven ke, the Main Position is Taijiao Wood. Implementing the Spring order, Earthly Qi shifts. Excessive wind causes shaking, and cold departs. Heat stagnates above, causing blood extravasation, red eyes, cough with reverse Qi, headache, and blood injury. The method is to drain it, using Sour flavor to astringe. Year grains should be red; intercalary grains should be beans. The Second Qi, from Wuzheng (noon) on the Spring Equinox to Chenzheng (morning) on Grain Fullness, lasts over sixty days. The Main Position is Shaozheng Fire, the Guest Qi is Taiyin Earth, and the central Yun is Water. Fire and Earth combine, seeing Shaoyang above, causing Fire to be depressed. White dust rises everywhere, clouds trend. It involves pain, grains, middle, overflow, sweet flavor, days, heat and summer warmth. Shang Metal. Yang departs, cold arrives, rain descends. Tonify with Bitter, drain with Salty, use... Do not violate Cold. As stated, when using Cold, avoid Cold. The Final Qi, from Zizheng (midnight) on Minor Snow to Dahan... Yushui. Guest Qi is Jueyin Wood, central Yun is Water. Water is in its proper position, harmonizing with Wood, to generate. Fog moves. Diseases include inability to control the gates (incontinence), heart pain, and cough due to unconcealed Yang Qi. The method is to tonify with Pungent, drain with Sour, and relax with Sweet. Year grains should be green; intercalary grains... Its Qi is specialized, its transformation pure. Winning Qi is naturally slight; there is no need to record its retaliatory Qi.
