牛齿膏 治发背疮肿痛。

麝香散 治发背疮冲破。疼痛不可忍。

大黄（生用） 锻石（熬风化者） 赤小豆 上等分为末。白酒和涂立效。忌羊肉、热
面、
大酢。一方醋调涂之。干即再涂。
凉血护肌膏 治发背活经络。生肌肉。
南星（生八两） 雄黄（一两研） 白矾（生末四两） 上为细末匀。用生地黄汁调。
涂四围。
治发背及诸般痈、毒疮。
以黑铅一斤。甘草三两。微炙锉。用酒一斗。着空瓶在旁。先以甘草置在酒瓶内。然后
熔铅投在酒瓶中。却出酒在空瓶内。取出铅根据前熔后投。如此者九度。并甘草去之。只留酒
令病者饮醉寝。即愈。
又方 箍疮令不溃。
发背疮疽不可医 醋研好墨绕周遭 猪胆生姜调涂上 到明如是鬼神医
灵中散 治背疽等疮。
陈大蜂窠（一个） 白矾 芝麻 上装入蜂窠内。火烧之。小油调扫之。
治发背初觉。热毒壅结。宜宣泄毒瓦斯。令不成疮肿。

消毒散 治发背欲结不结。四肢寒热。
车螯（一个可盛二两硝者） 朴硝（二两） 上以硝入车螯内。湿纸裹。黄泥固济。麻
皮缠
之。 赤候冷去泥。同研如面。将绢铺地。薄摊药末于上。盆盖一食久。入乳香、地龙末各
一分。白僵蚕、甘草末各半分。和匀。每服半两。酒调去滓服。能饮酒者多与之。其滓涂
患处一食久即转下恶物。只两服或消或破。别服补药。
金绵膏 治发背。
楸叶（五斤如无即用楸白皮锉） 马齿苋（二斤去根切） 上以水五升。熬至一升。去
滓。
入锅内。以柳枝搅。熬如饧。盛在瓷器内。先以荆芥汤洗疮。次用鸡翎扫药于疮上。令匀。
以薄纸贴之。更用酒调二钱服之。
五灵脂散 治发背。
五灵脂（半两） 乌贼鱼骨（去甲一两） 上为散。凡患者初觉时。以水调扫肿处。如

龙葵根散 治发背成疮。痈疽成疮者。

之敷疮肿。无不愈者。
桃花汁 治发背疮痈疽。
用桃花不拘多少。于平旦承露采取。以酽醋研绞去滓。取涂敷疮上。有虫即出。无花但
桃叶亦得。以腊月猪脂和涂。亦佳。

用白面取泥拌和。围肿四畔。令童子七人。尿围中。浸肿处即瘥。

用新马粪一味。浓涂肿上。干即易之。亦疗发乳。

硝石拓方 治发背赤 疼痛。

薜荔散 治发背神效
用薜荔叶一味。不拘多少。阴干。捣罗为散。每服三钱。水一盏。煎至七沸。温服。更
用叶煎汤洗甚妙。一方治背痈。和蜜饮数升。滓敷疮上。后以他药敷贴。遂愈。昔宜兴县张
渚镇有一老举人聚村学。年七十余。忽一日患发背。村中无他医药。急取薜荔枝叶烂研绞汁。
和蜜饮数升。以其滓敷疮上。后以他药敷贴。遂愈。医者云。其本盖得薜荔之力。乃知图经
所载不妄。又方以薜荔叶干末敷之。下利即愈。

用糯米不拘多少。炒熟细研。以井花水调涂四面。干即易之。
又方
用木芙蓉叶自落者。经霜然后收之。碾末。淡醋调于掌上。如青苔色为妙。绢帛涂贴疮
上。一方治软疖。用盐水调搽。

用五倍子、杏仁、猪悬蹄、白芷、莲房、荆芥、葱头、细茶叶好者、煎汤洗。

取蔚臭草捣取汁。服一鸡子。滓封上。热即易之。
疗发背。及诸疮久不瘥有效方。
先以甘草汤洗疮。 拭极干。乃嚼胡麻敷上。干即易。从旦至日西。去胡麻。乃取黄连
末、滑石末、中半相和。以敷疮上。数数易。明日又根据前敷胡麻及黄连等末。更不须洗疮。

未结成即消。已结成则易溃。已溃则易瘥。如未效。再用必效。

用腊月干桑叶不拘多少。碾为细末。以新汲水调涂疮上。如疮有脓血。即干糁用之。如
疮在脚膝间。敷药了。用帛子裹之。神效。一方煎汤皆可用。

才发则散。已成者即溃。言已见效。

五倍子（瓦燥之五两） 白蔹（真者如白萝卜干色白味苦甘二两） 黄柏皮（炒焦五两） 黄
芩
（炒干五两） 白芨（生二两） 当归（酒浸焙干二两） 上为末。酸醋调入瓶。时取敷患
处。
若已成欲破。加白丁香。雀矢尾直起者鸟尖。为末。和上药点头上。却用不加之药敷四畔。
内服白术、黄 三两。蜜炙木香、当归各一两为末。酒下二钱。病在四肢食后服。膈上眠时。
膈下空心服之。秘传神效。
牛齿膏：治疗发背疮肿痛。
水牛牙齿（红色者）一钱，乳香（研细）一钱，太阴玄精石各一分。以上药物研为细末。每次使用时，根据疮口大小剪裁绯色绢布，用唾液调和药粉，涂抹在绢布上贴敷于患处。
麝香散：治疗发背疮破溃。疼痛难以忍受。
麝香（研细）半钱，蒺藜子半两，紫背荷叶半两。以上药物研为散剂。每次根据疮口大小，临时取适量干撒在疮面上。
皂荚膏：治疗发背初起，仅表现为热肿。使毒气内消。
皂荚一根（挑选肥大长者，刮去黑皮及种子），栗子十个（大且独颗的，去壳晒干），桑根白皮一两。以上药物研为细末。用生油调成膏状，涂敷于疮面。
治疗发背毒肿，颜色紫黑、坚硬且疼痛的方剂。
蛇蜕五寸，芸苔子二两，窑中未沾水的砖末一升。以上药物研为细末。用浓醋调和，细细涂于肿痛处。
黄耆散：促使发背自行溃破。
绵黄耆（细者洗净焙干）一两，甘草半两，皂角针（挑选红紫色者，锉碎后用麸皮炒至黄色）一两。以上药物研为细末。每次服用一大钱，配酒一盏，加乳香一块，煎汤去渣后服用。
治疗发背及肿毒、恶疮。
大黄（生用），锻石（熬制风化者），赤小豆。以上药物等分研为细末。用白酒调和涂敷，立见疗效。忌食羊肉、热面、大酢。另一法用醋调涂，干了再涂。
凉血护肌膏：治疗发背，疏通经络，促进肌肉生长。
南星（生用）八两，雄黄（研细）一两，白矾（生研末）四两。以上药物均匀研为细末。用地黄汁调和，涂敷于疮口四周。
治疗发背及各类痈、毒疮。
取黑铅一斤，甘草三两，微火炙烤后锉碎。用酒一斗，旁边放一个空瓶。先将甘草放入酒瓶内，然后将熔化的铅投入酒瓶中，再将酒倒入空瓶内，取出铅再次熔化投入酒瓶中。如此操作九次。最后去掉铅和甘草，只留酒让患者饮醉入睡，即可痊愈。
又方：箍束疮口使其不溃烂。
发背疮疽不可医治时，用好墨醋研，绕疮周涂抹；猪胆和生姜调匀涂敷。到了明天就像有神医一样灵验。
灵中散：治疗背疽等疮。
陈年大蜂窠一个，白矾，芝麻。将白矾和芝麻装入蜂窠内，火烧之。用小油调和扫涂患处。
治疗发背初起，热毒壅结。宜宣泄毒气，防止形成疮肿。
川乌头（生用，去皮脐，捣罗为末）半两，巴豆（一分，去皮和心膜，生研）一分，朱砂（一分，细研）。以上药物混合，研令均匀细碎。用软粟米饭和丸，如梧桐子大。每次服五丸，温水送下，以大便通畅为度。若未通利可再服。
消毒散：治疗发背欲结未结，四肢寒热。
车螯（一个能盛二两硝的），朴硝二两。将硝放入车螯内，用湿纸包裹，黄泥封固，麻皮缠绕。待冷却后去掉泥，共同研如面粉状。将绢铺在地上，薄摊药末在上面，用盆盖住一顿饭的时间。加入乳香、地龙末各一分，白僵蚕、甘草末各半分，混合均匀。每次服半两，酒调去渣服用。能饮酒者可多给些。其药渣涂敷患处一顿饭后即转下恶物。只需两服，或消散或破溃。之后另服补药。
金绵膏：治疗发背。
楸叶五斤（如无则用楸白皮锉碎），马齿苋二斤（去根切碎）。以上用水五升，熬至一升，去渣。倒入锅内，用柳枝搅拌，熬如饴糖状。盛在瓷器内。先用荆芥汤清洗疮口，然后用鸡毛帚扫药于疮上，令均匀。用薄纸贴之，再用酒调二钱内服。
五灵脂散：治疗发背。
五灵脂半两，乌贼鱼骨（去甲）一两。以上研为散剂。凡患者初觉时，用水调扫肿处。如果已经肿大，加入醋面同调，敷之。
龙葵根散：治疗发背成疮，痈疽成疮者。
龙葵根（锉碎）一两，麝香（研细）一分。先将龙葵根捣罗为末，入麝香同研令匀。用水调涂于疮上。
金粉膏：治疗发背痈疽疮。
锡四两（用板瓦盛炭火，安锡在上扇之候锡成灰研末），密陀僧四两（入罐子内以盏子盖口，盐泥固济勿令透气，用炭火加热至闻不到药气为度，取出放冷）。以上同研极细。量疮大小，临时入腻粉少许，以鸡子黄调如膏，摊在疮上，以绯帛覆盖。
乳香贴方：治疗发背。

取牡狗白粪五升。凡觉欲作时，以温水一碗，绞取汁，分再服。仍以滓敷上。每日再为之。瘥止。
治疗发背欲死方
用伏龙肝为末，以酒调，浓敷其上。疮口干即易。不日平复。
治疗发背
用蜗牛一百枚活者，一升净瓶入蜗牛，用新汲水一盏，浸瓶中封紧。自晚至明，出蜗牛放之。其水如涎，将真蛤粉不拘多少，水调旋敷，以鸡翎扫之疮上。日用十余度，其热痛止，疮便愈。
治疗发背疑似者，须便服此。
用秦艽锉，以牛乳煎服，当得快利三五行，即瘥。
治疗发背初得毒肿，灼热赤痛。
用水萍不拘多少，烂捣，和鸡子清，贴之甚良。
治疗发背疮
取白马齿烧灰，先以针刺疮头开，即以灰封，以湿面周肿处，后以酽醋洗去灰，根出。
治疗发背头未成疮，及诸热毒肿。
用水煮青竹筒角之。掘地作坑贮水，卧以肿处，当坑子上角之。如绿豆大，戢戢然出不止。遍匝腰肋。
治疗发背方
用草决明生用一升，捣碎，生甘草一两重，亦切碎。水三升，煮取一升，温服，分二服。大抵血滞则生疮，肝为宿血之脏，而决明子和肝气，不损元气也。
洗发背疮
用五倍子、杏仁、猪悬蹄、白芷、莲房、荆芥、葱头、细茶叶好者，煎汤洗。
疗发背，及诸疮久不瘥有效方。
先以甘草汤洗疮，拭极干，乃嚼胡麻敷上，干即易。从旦至日西，去胡麻，乃取黄连末、滑石末，中半相和，以敷疮上。数数易。明日又根据前敷胡麻及黄连等末，更不须洗疮。不过六七日即瘥。必效。
治发背已结成脓，栝蒌涂方。
用生栝蒌根细锉，捣研如糊涂之，日三五度即瘥。一方为末，苦酒和敷。
治发背初觉肿，痛不知定处。
以湿纸贴之，先干处即是。若病根多，速觅水蛭，湿令入病处食血，数易甚良。
治一切痈肿及发背，疼痛不可忍。但未成脓者。
用甘草一两，微炙捣碎，水一大升浸之。器上横一小刀子，置露中经宿。平明以物搅令沫出，吹沫服之。但是疮肿发背皆可服。一方用生者为末，酒调二钱匕频服。王中奉虔服之得效。
治发背已发未结成，已结成未溃。
用牛皮胶二两，酒二升，生甘草一寸，同煮。候牛皮胶溶化放温，令病者徐徐饮尽。如未结成即消，已结成则易溃，已溃则易瘥。如未效，再用必效。
治发背痈疽，一切毒疮，疮口大窟。
用腊月干桑叶不拘多少，碾为细末，以新汲水调涂疮上。如疮有脓血，即干糁用之。如疮在脚膝间，敷药了，用帛子裹之，神效。一方煎汤皆可用。
治疗发背
其疮临发之时，用蓖麻子一合，剥去皮，用白胶香一处捣细，摊纸上，放宽大贴了，方才发则散，已成者即溃。言已见效。
治疗发背
以不耕之地，遇野人粪为虫鸟所践处，即以杖去粪，取其下土筛，以敷之。即如冰着背也。
治疗发背初发，已成口，未成口。
用牛耳枫树根，其叶小而三叉，叶上无毛而光者，酒擂滤滓，饮酒，以滓涂疮。仍服乳粉内托散。
犀角丸：治疗一切痈肿及发背，疼痛不可忍。但未成脓者。（方见小犀角丸）
糯米膏：治疗发背疽毒，一切恶证。
糯米（先洗七次绢袋挂当风二七日炒一斗），紫河车（去皮毛生用根赤者不用白者五两），五倍子（瓦燥之五两），白蔹（真者如白萝卜干色白味苦甘二两），黄柏皮（炒焦五两），黄芩（炒干五两），白芨（生二两），当归（酒浸焙干二两）。以上为末，酸醋调入瓶，时取敷患处。
若已成欲破，加白丁香（雀矢尾直起者鸟尖），为末，和上药点头上，却用不加之药敷四畔。内服白术、黄耆三两，蜜炙木香、当归各一两为末，酒下二钱。病在四肢食后服，膈上眠时，膈下空心服之。秘传神效。
Niu Chi Gao (Ox Tooth Ointment): Treats back carbuncle with swelling and pain.
Bos taurus domesticus teeth (red ones), 1 qian; Xiangru (Frankincense, ground), 1 qian; Taiyin Xuanjing Shi (Calcitum, Tianshuihuang), each 1 fen. Grind the above into fine powder. For each use, cut crimson silk according to the size of the sore. Mix the medicine with saliva, spread on the silk, and apply to the affected area.
Shexiang San (Musk Powder): Treats ruptured back carbuncle. Unbearable pain.
Shexiang (Musk, ground), half a qian; Jili Zi (Tribulus terrestris fruit), half a liang; Zibei Heye (Purple-backed Lotus Leaf), half a liang. Grind the above into a powder. For each use, take an appropriate amount based on the size of the sore and sprinkle dry onto the wound surface.
Zaojia Gao (Soap Pod Ointment): Treats early-stage back carbuncle presenting only as heat and swelling. Promotes internal resolution of toxins.
Zaojia (Gleditsia sinensis pod, one large plump pod, scrape off black skin and seeds); Lizi (Castanea mollissima nut, ten large single kernels, shell removed and sun-dried); Sanggen Baipi (Morus alba root bark), 1 liang. Grind the above into fine powder. Mix with raw sesame oil to form an ointment. Apply to the sore.
Formula for treating back carbuncle toxic swelling, purple-black in color, hard, and painful.
Shetui (Bombyx mori molt), 5 cun; Yuntaizi (Brassica rapa var. oleifera seed), 2 liang; Yaobuzhaoshui Zhuanmo (Powdered brick from kiln not touched by water), 1 sheng. Grind the above into powder. Mix with strong vinegar. Apply thinly to the swollen and painful area.
Huangqi San (Astragalus Powder): Induces spontaneous rupture of back carbuncle.
Mian Huangqi (Astragali Radix, fine roots washed and dried), 1 liang; Gancao (Licorice Root), half a liang; Zaojiao Zhen (Gleditsia sinensis spine, red-purple ones selected, chopped and stir-fried with bran until yellow), 1 liang. Grind the above into fine powder. Take 1 da qian per dose. Mix with 1 zhan of wine and 1 piece of Xiangru (Frankincense). Decoct, remove dregs, and drink.
Treating back carbuncle, swelling/toxicity, and malignant sores.
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, raw); Duanshi (Calamina, calcined and weathered); Chixiaodou (Vigna angularis seed). Equal parts grind into fine powder. Mix with white wine and apply topically for immediate effect. Avoid mutton, hot noodles, and strong vinegar. Another method uses vinegar for mixing; reapply when dry.
Liangxue Huji Gao (Cooling Blood and Protecting Muscle Ointment): Treats back carbuncle, unblocks collaterals, promotes muscle regeneration.
Nanxing (Arisaema erubescens tuber, raw), 8 liang; Xionghuang (Realgar), 1 liang (ground); Baijian (Alumen), 4 liang (raw ground powder). Mix the above powders evenly. Mix with juice of Sheng Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) and apply around the perimeter of the sore.
Treating back carbuncle and various types of abscesses and toxic sores.
Take 1 jin of Qian (Lead), 3 liang of Gancao (Licorice Root). Lightly roast and chop. Use 1 dou of wine. Place an empty bottle nearby. First put the Gancao into the wine bottle, then pour molten lead into the wine bottle. Pour the wine back into the empty bottle. Remove the lead, melt it again, and pour it back into the wine bottle. Repeat this process nine times. Finally, discard the lead and Gancao. Only keep the wine. Have the patient drink until drunk and asleep. The condition will resolve.
Another formula: Binds the sore to prevent rupture.
For incurable back carbuncle and carbuncles: Grind good ink with vinegar and apply around the circumference. Mix pig bile and fresh ginger, apply to the sore. By morning, it acts like a divine cure.
Lingzhong San (Lingzhong Powder): Treats back carbuncle and other sores.
Chen Dafengke (Old beehive), 1; Baijian (Alumen); Zhima (Sesame seed). Put the Baijian and Zhima inside the beehive. Burn it. Mix with a small amount of oil and sweep/apply to the affected area.
Treating early-stage back carbuncle where heat-toxin is congested. It is suitable to vent the toxic qi to prevent the formation of swelling.
Chuan Wutou (Aconiti Radix Lateralis Preparata, raw, peel and navel removed, pounded and sifted), half a liang; Badou (Crotonis Fructus, peel and heart membrane removed, raw ground), 1 fen; Zhusha (Cinnabar, finely ground), 1 fen. Mix the above medicines and grind until uniform and fine. Mix with soft millet rice paste to make pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 5 pills per dose with warm water. Stop when bowel movement is smooth. If not loose, take again.
Xiaodu San (Detoxification Powder): Treats back carbuncle that is forming but not yet formed, with cold and heat in the four limbs.
Che'ao (Tridacna gigas shell, one capable of holding 2 liang of Xiaoming), 2 liang of Puxiao (Mirabilite). Put the Xiaoming into the Che'ao. Wrap in wet paper, seal with yellow mud, and bind with hemp rope. Wait until cool, remove the mud, and grind together into flour-like powder. Spread silk on the ground, thinly spread the medicine powder on it, cover with a basin for the duration of one meal. Add Xiangru (Frankincense) and Dilong (Pheretima, ground) each 1 fen, Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, ground) and Gancao (Licorice Root, ground) each half a fen. Mix well. Take half a liang per dose, mixed with wine, strain, and drink. Those who can drink alcohol may take more. Apply the dregs to the affected area for the duration of one meal, then foul matter will be discharged. After two doses, it will either dissipate or rupture. Afterwards, take tonifying medicines separately.
Jinmian Gao (Golden Silk Ointment): Treats back carbuncle.
Qiu Ye (Cecropia obtusifolia leaf), 5 jin (if unavailable, use Cecropia bark chopped); Machixian (Portulaca oleracea), 2 jin (roots removed and chopped). Boil the above in 5 sheng of water until reduced to 1 sheng. Strain. Pour back into the pot, stir with a willow branch, and boil until thick like syrup. Store in a porcelain vessel. First wash the sore with Jingjie Tang (Schizonepeta Decoction). Then sweep the medicine onto the sore with a chicken feather to ensure even coverage. Cover with thin paper. Also take 2 qian mixed with wine internally.
Wulingzhi San (Trogopterus Dung Powder): Treats back carbuncle.
Wulingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces), half a liang; Ouzeiyu Gu (Sepiae Endoconcha, shell removed), 1 liang. Grind into powder. When the patient first feels symptoms, mix with water and sweep over the swollen area. If already significantly swollen, mix with vinegar and flour, then apply.
Longkui Gen San (Solanum lyratum Root Powder): Treats back carbuncle becoming an ulcer, abscesses forming ulcers.
Longkui Gen (Solanum lyratum root, chopped), 1 liang; Shexiang (Musk, ground), 1 fen. First pound Longkui Gen into powder, add Shexiang and grind uniformly. Mix with water and apply to the sore.
Jinfen Gao (Gold Powder Ointment): Treats back carbuncle abscesses and sores.
Xi (Tin), 4 liang (place tin on tile over charcoal fire, fan until turned to ash, then grind); Miduoseng (Litharge), 4 liang (put in jar, cover mouth with bowl, seal with salt mud to prevent air leakage, heat over charcoal fire until no medicinal smell is detected, remove and cool). Grind the above together extremely finely. Measure according to sore size. Add a small amount of Nifen (Calomel) temporarily. Mix with egg yolk to form an ointment. Spread on the sore. Cover with crimson silk.
Ruxiang Tie Formula (Frankincense Plaster): Treats back carbuncle.
Ruxiang (Frankincense, ground); Huangla (Yellow Beeswax, high quality). Equal parts. Melt together in a ladle. Pour into water. Depending on sore size, take a portion, melt over fire, spread on silk or paper, and apply. Press firmly with hand until adhering to flesh because this medicine dries easily. Change three times a day. Swelling subsides, pain stops. If head has formed and is about to rupture, it will gradually shrink.
Maibing Fang (Wheat Cake Formula, also known as Gancao Gao): Treats back carbuncle. Cui Yuanliang's secret recipe from the sea. Li Beihai said: This formula was divinely bestowed and is extremely miraculous.
Damai (Common barley, roasted until cooked), 1 sheng (alternative: 9 liang of barley flour); Gancao (Licorice Root, raw), 3 liang. Grind into powder. Mix with a small amount of good vinegar until slightly vinegary. Then mix with boiling water to form cake-shaped portions, sized according to the swelling. Apply hot compress. Wrap tightly with oil paper and old paper to prevent airflow. Replace when cold. Eating yellow millet porridge regularly is very beneficial. If pus has formed and drained spontaneously, or if not yet formed, it resolves internally. Another method uses a small amount of butter instead of vinegar.
Baicaoshuang Gao (Soot Ointment): Treats back carbuncle abscesses and all sores with unbearable heat and pain.
Baicaoshuang (Plant Soot); Sheng Qicao (Live Ground Beetle Larva). Equal parts. Grind finely together and apply. Feels like ice; pain stops immediately.
Treating abscesses, various carbuncles, back carbuncles, or breast carbuncles. Initially slightly red. If not treated urgently, it can be fatal.
Take two sow trotters, Tongcao (Tetrapanax papyrifer stem), wrap in cotton, cook together into soup/congee and eat.
Treating back carbuncle sores, reducing swelling, extracting toxins.
Harvest Qujie Cao (Eclipta prostrata stems and leaves) in May and June, shade dry. Grind with Gancao (Licorice Root) into powder. Mix with rice juice and take orally.
Treating early-stage back carbuncle, suitable for oral administration.
Huangniu Ru (Cow's Milk), two large cups; Qinjiao (Gentiana macrophylla root), 2 liang (remove sprouts and chop). Mix medicines, decoct until reduced to one large cup. Strain. Divide into three warm doses. Effect achieved when there is rapid bowel movement.
Treating back carbuncle formula.
Take ash from tangled hair, take with wine using a fangcun bi measure. Also treats Biao Ju (acute furuncle).
Another formula.
Apply pig lard, 4-5 times a day. Also treats "Fa Luan" (hair disorder). Jiuj Fang says: Cut pork or mutton fat into slices, soak in cold water, stick to wound, replace when warm. 50-60 slices cure. If feeling cold initially, sleep well after cold sets in, which is excellent.

Use residue from three-year-old vinegar, simmer until thick, mix with beef lard, and apply.

Burn pig and dog teeth to ash, mix with vinegar, apply. Change 3-4 times a day.

Treating critical back carbuncle.
Cut off the top of a winter melon, place over the sore. When the melon rots, replace it. Before the melon is finished, the sore will have shrunk. Then use ointment to nourish.
Bei Ju Chan Yao Fang (Back Carbuncle Dusting Powder Formula)
Li Shi said: In Longyou, someone suffered from back carbuncle, ulcerated like a bowl face. Viscera visible, separated only by membrane. Believed death was certain. Someone used one large crucian carp, removed entrails, stuffed with ram dung, baked until charred black and extremely dry, ground to fine powder. Dry dusting on the wound caused closure. Still healthy today. This comes from Hong Shi's formula, frequently effective. Attached here. Use only when pus is scant and muscle regeneration is desired.
Treating various malignant sores of back carbuncle, unbearable pain.
Take green mud from the bottom of a fecal pit, dry in shade, grind to fine powder. Mix with fresh water and apply. Pain stops immediately.
Treating back carbuncle.
Use tangled hair, Lu Fengfang (Vespa nest), snake skin. Burn to ash retaining nature. Mix and apply 1 qian. Divine effect.
Jinzhen San (Golden Needle Powder): Treats back carbuncle.
Use Zaojia Zhen (Gleditsia sinensis spines) harvested in spring, half green half black. Any amount. Sun dry, pound and sieve into powder. Eat/drink freely before taking. Take 3 qian medicine mixed with wine. Cure immediately. If not resolved, take again.
Huangshi San (Yellow Stone Powder): Treats back carbuncle sores. Formerly Yang Zunyan suffered back swelling. Ma Siming applied refined stone and he recovered.
Use coarse yellow stone the size of a goose egg. Calcine fiercely until red, quench in vinegar. Debris falls into vinegar. Repeat calcining and quenching until stone is exhausted. Take debris, sun dry, grind to powder. Mix with vinegar and apply to back. Immediate recovery. Northern Qi physician Ma Siming used this for Yang Zunyan's back sore effectively. Liu Yuxi called it the Refined Stone Method. Used for applying to swellings, all healed.
Taohua Zhi (Peach Blossom Juice): Treats back carbuncle abscesses.
Use any amount of peach blossoms. Collect at dawn with dew. Grind with strong vinegar, squeeze out pulp, take juice to apply to sore. Worms will exit if present. If no flowers, peach leaves are also acceptable. Mix with pig lard from the twelfth lunar month for application, also good.
Treating back carbuncle swelling formula.
Mix white flour with water to make mud, surround the swelling. Have seven young boys urinate into the center. Soak the swollen area, then recover.
Another formula.
Use fresh horse manure alone, apply thickly to swelling. Replace when dry. Also treats breast carbuncle.
Another formula.
Use Motherwort (Leonurus japonicus) alone, mash thoroughly, squeeze out 3 he of juice and drink. Apply dregs to sore. Replace when hot.
Xiaoshi Tuo Fang (Nitre Compress Formula): Treats red back carbuncle pain.
Use 5 liang of Xiaoshi (Niter), 1 dou of hot water. Soak Xiaoshi until cool. Take two pieces of old blue cloth, soak and compress. 3-5 times a day.
Bili San (Ficus pumila Powder): Highly effective for back carbuncle.
Use Bili Ye (Ficus pumila leaf) alone, any amount. Shade dry, pound and sieve into powder. Take 3 qian per dose. With 1 zhan of water, boil seven times, drink warm. Also excellent to wash with leaf decoction. Another method for back abscess: mix with honey, drink several sheng. Apply dregs to sore, then use other medicines for dressing. Recovered. Formerly, an elderly scholar in Zhangzhu Town, Yixing County, aged over 70, suddenly got back carbuncle. Village had no other medicine. Urgently took Bili leaf, mashed, squeezed juice, mixed with honey, drank several sheng. Applied dregs, then dressed with other meds. Recovered. Doctors said it was due to Bili's power. Thus knowing the records in Tu Jing were not false. Another method: apply dry Bili leaf powder. Diarrhea occurs, then cured.
Another formula.
Use glutinous rice, any amount. Roast until cooked, grind finely. Mix with well water, apply to four sides. Replace when dry.
Another formula.
Use naturally fallen Hibiscus mutabilis leaves, harvest after frost. Grind to powder. Mix with light vinegar in palm until resembling green moss color. Apply to silk/cloth and stick to sore. Another method for soft boils: mix with salt water and rub.
Treating early-stage back carbuncle swelling and pain.
Use Chixiaodou (Vigna angularis seed) alone. Pound and sieve into powder. Mix with pig bile and apply. Replace when dry.
Treating back carbuncle and all heat-related sores/swellings.
Take a handful of Yuntaizi (Rapeseed), chop, stir-fry with butter, apply hot to sore. Replace when cold. Three times a day. Using Yuntaizi leaves alone for application is also okay.
Treating back sore.
Take spider from doorway, pound with vinegar. First prick four sides to bleed, exposing root slightly. Apply medicine. Replace when dry. From morning to noon, pull out root. Great divine effect.
Treating back carbuncle.
Use Jinxing Cao (Galinsoga parviflora), any amount. Grind to powder. Take 1 fangcun bi with cold water. Applying to sore is also effective. People using it often find it verified. Another method: use leaves and roots, half a jin chopped. Decoct in 5 sheng wine in silver vessel until 2 sheng remains. Drink all at once at fifth watch. Expels Dan Shi drug toxicity. Also treats abscesses and nodules. Yan Yi says: Not only expels ingested stone drugs, but also removes toxin and heals sore. If not drinking alcohol, mix with fresh water. Stop when effect is felt.
Divine Verified Method for Treating Back Carbuncle.
Take 5 sheng of male dog white feces. Whenever feeling onset, take 1 bowl of warm water, squeeze out juice, divide into two doses. Apply dregs on top. Do this daily. Stop when cured.
Critical Back Carbuncle Formula.
Take Fulonggan (Dragon's Liver/Logwood Earth) as powder. Mix with wine, apply thickly. Replace when dry. Recover in a few days.
Treating back carbuncle.
Take 100 live snails. Put in clean 1-sheng bottle. Add 1 zhan of fresh water. Seal tight. From evening to morning, release snails. Water becomes like saliva. Take genuine Ge Fen (Clam Shell Powder), any amount. Mix with water, apply freshly. Sweep onto sore with chicken feather. Do this over ten times a day. Heat and pain stop, sore heals.
Treating back carbuncle.
Use Bai Lian (Ampelopsis japonica root), any amount. Grind to powder. Mix with water and apply. Good.
Critical Back Carbuncle.
Burn human excrement to ash. Mix with vinegar like mud. Apply to swollen area. Replace when dry. Good.
Treating suspected back carbuncle. Must take this immediately.
Chop Qinjiao (Gentiana macrophylla root). Decoct with cow's milk and drink. Should have 3-5 bowel movements, then recover.
Treating back carbuncle.
Take 1 sheng of Disong (Sonchus arvensis). Pound and extract juice. Drink. Twice a day. Stop when cured.
Critical Back Carbuncle.
Mash Jichang Cao (Polygonum aviculare) and apply. Good.
Treating early back carbuncle toxic swelling, burning red pain.
Use Shuiping (Azolla), any amount. Mash thoroughly. Mix with egg white. Apply. Very good.
Treating back carbuncle abscess.
Mash fresh Changpu (Acorus tatarinowii rhizome) and apply. If sore is dry, grind to powder, mix with water and apply.
Treating back carbuncle.
Harvest Shiwei Ye (Pyrrosia leaf) in February and July. Shade dry, stir-fry to powder. Mix with cold wine and drink. Excellent.
Treating back carbuncle sore.
Burn white horse tooth to ash. First prick sore head open. Seal with ash. Surround swelling with wet dough. Later wash off ash with strong vinegar. Root exits.
Treating back carbuncle head not yet formed, and various heat-toxin swellings.
Boil green bamboo tube corner in water. Dig pit, fill with water. Lie down with swollen part over the pit corner. Like mung beans, continuously discharge. Circumferentially around waist and ribs.
Treating back carbuncle formula.
Use 1 sheng raw Caojueming (Cassiae Semen), crush. 1 liang raw Gancao (Licorice Root), also chop. 3 sheng water. Decoct to 1 sheng. Warm drink, divide into two doses. Generally, blood stagnation causes sores. Liver stores old blood. Caojueming harmonizes liver qi without damaging primordial qi.
Washing Back Carbuncle Sore.
Use Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis), Xingren (Apricot Seed), Zhu Xuanti (Pig Trotter Hoof), Baizhi (Angelica dahurica), Lianfang (Lotus Calyx), Jingjie (Schizonepeta), Congtou (Scallion Head), fine tea leaves (good quality). Decoct soup to wash.
Treating back carbuncle.
Take Weichou Cao (Artemisia argyi?), mash extract juice. Drink equivalent to one egg. Apply dregs on top. Replace when hot.
Effective formula for back carbuncle and various sores not healing for long.
First wash sore with Gancao Tang (Licorice Decoction). Wipe extremely dry. Chew Sesame and apply. Replace when dry. From morning to sunset, remove sesame. Then mix equal parts Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) powder and Huashi (Kaolin) powder. Apply to sore. Change frequently. Next day, apply sesame and Huanglian etc. again. No need to wash sore. Recover within 6-7 days. Definitely effective.
Treating back carbuncle abscess, Ding Chuang (hard carbuncle), Luo Li (scrofula), Nao Ju (brain carbuncle).
Highly effective.
Treating back carbuncle already formed pus, Gua Lou Tu Formula.
Fine chop raw Gua Lou Gen (Trichosanthes Radix). Pound and grind like paste. Apply. 3-5 times a day, recover. Another method: grind to powder, mix with vinegar (Ku Jiu) and apply.
Treating early back carbuncle swelling, pain location uncertain.
Apply wet paper. The first place to dry indicates the spot. If disease root is deep, quickly find leeches. Moisten and let enter disease site to feed on blood. Change frequently. Very good.
Treating all abscesses and back carbuncle, unbearable pain. But not yet formed pus.
Use 1 liang Gancao (Licorice Root), lightly roast and crush. Soak in 1 sheng water overnight with a small knife placed across the vessel exposed to dew. At dawn, stir with object to create foam. Blow foam and drink. All sores and back carbuncles can take this. Another method: use raw material as powder, mix 2 qian bi with wine, take frequently. Wang Zhongfeng devoutly took it and gained effect.
Treating back carbuncle developed but not formed, formed but not ruptured.
Use 2 liang Niupijiao (Ox Hide Glue), 2 sheng wine, 1 cun raw Gancao (Licorice Root). Decoct together. Wait for glue to dissolve, cool to warm. Let patient drink slowly until finished. If not formed, it dissipates. If formed, it ruptures easily. If ruptured, heals easily. If no effect, repeat. Definitely effective.
Treating back carbuncle abscess, all toxic sores, large hole in sore.
Use dry Mulberry leaves from the twelfth lunar month, any amount. Grind to fine powder. Mix with fresh water and apply to sore. If pus/blood present, use dry powder. If sore is between foot/knee, wrap with cloth after applying medicine. Divine effect. Another method: decoct soup, all usable.
Treating back carbuncle.
When sore is about to erupt, use 1 he Castor Bean (Ricinus communis seed), peel skin. Mix with Bai Jiaoxiang (Benzoin Resin), pound fine. Spread on paper, apply loosely larger than sore. If just erupting, it disperses. If formed, it ruptures. Already shown effective.
Treating back carbuncle.
On uncultivated land where wild manure is trodden by insects/birds, remove manure with stick. Take subsoil, sieve, and apply. Feels like ice on back.
Treating back sore, heat swelling.
Apply Jie Zhi (Persicaria hydropiper juice) over sore. Open hole to absorb heat toxin. Replace when cold. Recover.
Treating early back carbuncle, opened or not opened.
Use Niuer Feng Shu Gen (Acer truncatum root). Leaves small, trifoliate, hairless and shiny. Grind with wine, filter dregs. Drink wine. Apply dregs to sore. Also take Rufen Neituo San (Milk Powder Internal Support Powder).
Xijiao Wan (Rhinoceros Horn Pill): Treats all abscesses and back carbuncle, unbearable pain. Not yet formed pus. (See Xiao Xijiao Wan).
Lingyangjiao San (Antelope Horn Powder): Internal resolution of back carbuncle. (See Daquan Neixiao San).
Nuomi Gao (Glutinous Rice Ointment): Treats back carbuncle abscess/toxicity, all evil syndromes.
Nuomi (Glutinous Rice, wash 7 times, hang in silk bag in wind for 27 days, roast 1 dou); Ziheche (Human Placenta, remove hair/skin, raw use, reject red root, use white, 5 liang); Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis, dry on tile, 5 liang); Bailian (Ampelopsis japonica root, true ones like white radish dried, white, bitter-sweet, 2 liang); Huangbai Pi (Phellodendron Bark, stir-fry until scorched, 5 liang); Huangqin (Scutellaria Root, stir-fry until dry, 5 liang); Baiji (Bletilla Rhizoma, raw, 2 liang); Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, wine-soaked and dried, 2 liang). Grind into powder. Mix with sour vinegar in bottle. Take time to apply to affected area.
If already formed and about to rupture, add Baixiangding (Passerine Excrement, straight tail end bird tip), grind to powder, mix with above medicine, apply to head. Use non-added medicine to apply around four sides. Internally take Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizoma) and Huangqi (Astragalus Root) 3 liang, Zhi Muxiang (Aucklandiae Root stir-fried with honey) and Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root) each 1 liang, grind to powder. Take 2 qian with wine. If disease in four limbs, take after meals. If above diaphragm, take before sleep. If below diaphragm, take on empty stomach. Secretly transmitted divine effect.
