治疗嵌甲。
砂（一字量） 乳香（均研细，各一钱） 腻粉（半钱） 橄榄核（三个，煅烧至保留药性） 黄丹（一字量） 以上药物研为细末。
乳没散（出自《百一选方》）
治疗嵌甲。
取紫马粪三块，每块用一片青布包裹，放在新瓦上用炭火煅烧至保留药性。研为细末。每半两药末中加入没药十文、轻粉十文、麝香少许。先用葱椒汤清洗患处，擦干。口中含甘草浆水吐在疮上，再清洗。洗净后敷药。
若之前用药无效，此法一敷即安。
乌倍散（出自《百一选方》）
治疗嵌甲。
草乌头（半两） 白牵牛（一两） 五倍子（四两，完整的） 龙骨（一分） 先将前三味药捣碎，同炒。
黄连散（出自《百一选方》，又名白矾散）
黄连 韶粉 黄柏 软石膏（等分） 以上药物研为细末。用水清洗疮口令其洁净，用软帛拭干，用新汲水调匀。
香胭脂散（出自《百一选方》，又名麝香散）
治疗嵌甲侵入肌肉久不愈合。
五倍子（烧成黑灰，保留药性） 染胭脂（各等分） 麝香（少许） 以上研细掺敷。五倍子生用也可以。
雄蝉散（出自《百一选方》）
治疗嵌甲。
雄黄（透明优质的） 蝉蜕（三个，用酥炙后分别研为细末） 以上研和均匀。患处湿润者干掺，干燥者用唾液加入少许轻粉调涂。

取棉絮逐渐折入甲内，渐渐添之使其翘起，次用剪刀剪去。（方见神应散）

治疗脚大脚趾角，忽然被指甲刺入肉中，便刺破成疮，不能穿鞋靴。

Bing Tang Fang (Sugar Cube Decoction) (From *Bai Yi Xuan Fang*)
Take Hu Po Tang (Amber Sugar), which is sugar boiled into small beads. Calcine it to retain its medicinal properties (Cun Xing). Add Qing Fen (Calomel), She Xiang (Musk), and Ma You (Sesame Oil), mix well, and apply externally. Indicated for onychocryptosis (ingrown nail).
Lei Xiao Fang (Repeatedly Effective Formula) (From *Hua Tuo Zhong Zang Jing Fang*)
Treats onychocryptosis.
Sha (One Zi weight), Ru Xiang (Frankincense, ground separately, each one Qian), Ni Fen (Calomel, half a Qian), Gan Lan He (Olive pit, three pieces, calcined to retain properties), Huang Dan (Minium, one Zi weight). Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder.
Ru Mo San (Frankincense and Myrrh Powder) (From *Bai Yi Xuan Fang*)
Treats onychocryptosis.
Take three pieces of Zi Ma Fen (Purple Horse Manure), wrap each in a piece of Qing Bu (Green Cloth), and calcine over charcoal fire on a new tile until properties are retained. Grind into a fine powder. For every half Liang of this powder, add Shi Wen Mo Yao (Ten Wen of Myrrh), Shi Wen Qing Fen (Ten Wen of Calomel), and a small amount of She Xiang (Musk). First wash with Cong Jiao Tang (Scallion and Pepper Decoction), dry thoroughly. Swish Gan Cao Jiang Shui (Licorice Slurry Water) in the mouth and spit onto the wound, then wash again. After cleaning, apply the medicine.
If previous treatments were ineffective, this application brings immediate relief.
Wu Bei San (Aconite and Gallnut Powder) (From *Bai Yi Xuan Fang*)
Treats onychocryptosis.
Cao Wu Tou (Wild Aconite Root, half a Liang), Bai Qian Niu (White Morning Glory Seed, one Liang), Wu Bei Zi (Gallnut, four Liang, whole), Long Gu (Fossilized Bone, one Fen). First crush the first three ingredients and stir-fry them together.
Huang Lian San (Coptis Powder) (From *Bai Yi Xuan Fang*, also known as Bai Fan San)
Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome), Shao Fen (Kaolin), Huang Bo (Phellodendron Bark), Ruan Shi Gao (Soft Gypsum) in equal parts. Grind into a fine powder. Wash the wound with water until clean, dry with soft silk, and mix with fresh cold water for application.
Xiang Yan Zhi San (Perfumed Rouge Powder) (From *Bai Yi Xuan Fang*, also known as She Xiang San)
Treats onychocryptosis invading flesh that does not heal.
Wu Bei Zi (Gallnut, burned to black ash retaining properties), Ran Yan Zhi (Rouge), She Xiang (Musk, small amount). Grind finely and sprinkle. Raw Wu Bei Zi can also be used.
Xiong Chan San (Male Cicada Powder) (From *Bai Yi Xuan Fang*)
Treats onychocryptosis.
Xiong Huang (Realgar, transparent quality), Chan Tui (Cicada Slough, three pieces, roasted with butter and ground separately). Mix evenly. If moist, apply dry powder; if dry, mix with saliva and a little Qing Fen (Calomel) for topical application.
Tuo Seng San (Lead Monoxide Powder) (From *Bai Yi Xuan Fang*)
Treats injury from cutting nails invading flesh that does not heal.
Bai Fan (Alum, refined), Mi Tuo Seng (Lead Monoxide) in equal parts. Grind into powder and apply dry. Secure with a piece of cloth. Also treats foot odor. Another formula uses Sha Wu...
Wu Tou Fang (Aconite Formula) (From *Zhou Hou Fang*)
Treats ingrown nails cut into sores, persisting for years without healing.
Chuan Wu Tou (Sichuan Aconite Tip), Huang Bo (Phellodendron Bark) in equal parts. Grind into powder. Wash and apply.
Huang [Dang Gui] Fang (Yellow [Angelica] Formula)
Treats ingrown nails growing into flesh, often causing bleeding and pain.
Huang [Dang Gui] (Equal parts). Grind into powder and apply to the sore. If there is foul tissue, add a small amount of Liu Huang (Sulfur) powder and apply together.
Ji Shui Zhu Che Wan (Radish Juice Vehicle-Stopping Pill)
Treats onychocryptosis with pus discharge and unbearable pain.
First rinse with Ji Shui (Radish Juice) and clean the area. Then use Ju Fang Zhu Che Wan, grind finely, and apply.

Treats onychocryptosis.
Crush Wu Bei Zi (Gallnut), roast on a tile until charred, grind finely, and mix with Jiang Zhi (Ginger Juice) for application. If the sore is wet, add a little flour and mix with water. Very effective.

Grind Ru Xiang (Frankincense) into powder and apply.

For removing nails.
Insert folded cotton wool gradually under the nail, adding more to lift it, then cut off with scissors. (See Shen Ying San).

Treats the corner of the big toe where the nail suddenly pierces the flesh, forming a sore, making it impossible to wear shoes or boots.
Treats ingrown nails growing into flesh, often causing bleeding and pain.
Burn one snake skin until properties are retained, grind with a hazelnut-sized amount of Hui Huang (Ash Yellow). Wash the sore with warm Jiang Shui (Fermented Rice Water), prick with a needle, and apply medicine.

Grind Ya Zui Dan Fan (Crow's Beak Chalcanthite) into powder and apply.

Zi Teng Xiang (Purple Vine Sandarac, half a Liang), Ru Xiang (Frankincense, half a Qian, roasted on a sesame oil lamp tip retaining properties), Zhan Ban Liang Qian (Half a Liang Coin, half a Qian, roasted red in charcoal and quenched in vinegar), Qing Fen (Calomel)...
Wash the affected area.
Dry with old silk, then apply medicine. Apply a rush reed to cool it, and recovery is immediate.
My cousin Lin Zhenfu obtained this formula from Chen Zai in Deqing. It is one I have verified effective.
He Zi San (Chebula Powder)
Treats onychocryptosis with oozing pus, persisting for a long time.
He Zi (Chebula Fruit, three pieces, calcined retaining properties), Zhen Jiang Xiang (True Agarwood, one Qian), Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis, one Qian, ground separately), Wu Bei Zi (Gallnut, half a Liang, fried black). Grind all ingredients into powder.
