（附论）
当时行疫病经过呕吐和泻下治疗后，人体的表证和里证都处于虚弱状态。热毒趁机侵入虚弱的肠胃，就会导致排泄出黄红色的痢疾，或者排出脓血。全身出现高热，脐部和腹部疼痛。如果脉象数（快），病情会自行痊愈；如果脉象沉弦（深沉且紧绷如弓弦），病情一定会加重；如果脉象大（宽大有力），说明病势尚未停止。这些都是由热毒之气造成的。
方剂
升麻散（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗时气热毒攻冲肠胃，导致下痢不止。
川升麻（五钱） 当归（切碎微炒五钱） 黄连（去须微炒五钱） 甘草（炙烤微红切碎五钱） 桂心（五钱） 赤芍药（五钱） 黄柏（微炒切碎五钱）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用五钱，用水一大盏，煎煮至剩余五分水量。滤去药渣，不限时间，温服。《外台秘要》方：治疗天行毒病，酷热导致的下痢，用水三升，煮取一升，一次性服用。忌食海藻、菘菜（白菜）、猪肉、冷水、生葱等物。此方又名七物升麻汤。
龙骨散（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗时气各种痢疾不止，适宜服用。
龙骨（三两） 黄连（去须炒制三两） 黄柏（微炙三两） 当归（切碎炒制三两） 阿胶（捣碎炒黄三两）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用五钱，用水一大盏，煎煮至剩余五分水量。滤去药渣，不限时间，温服。
槲叶散（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗时气大肠实热，导致便血不止，脐下疼痛，适宜服用。
槲叶（一两） 地榆（三分切碎） 木贼（三分切碎） 当归（三分切碎） 赤芍药（三分） 伏龙肝（二分）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用不限时间，用米粥汁调服二钱。
黄连散（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗时气发病四五日，高热伴下痢，适宜服用。
黄连（去须微炒一两） 黄柏（微炙炒制一两） 艾叶（一两微炒） 黄芩（一两） 龙骨（二两）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用不限时间，用米粥汁调服二钱。
木香散（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗时气热毒痢疾伴有脓血，腹中疼痛，适宜服用。
木香（五钱） 黄连（一两去须微炒） 青橘皮（半两经汤浸泡去白瓤焙干） 栀子仁（一分） 地榆（半两）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用不限时间，用米粥汁调服二钱。
黄连丸（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗时气热毒下痢，适宜服用。
黄连（二两去须微炒） 当归（一两切碎微炒） 黄芩（一两） 赤石脂（一两） 龙骨（一两）。以上药物研为细末，用炼蜜调和制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用不限时间，用米粥汁送服三十丸。

黄连汤（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗时气热毒下痢。
当归（二两炒制） 黄连（二两炒制） 黄柏（二两切碎炙烤）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用五钱，用水一大盏，煎煮至剩余五分水量。滤去药渣，加入一茶匙蜂蜜，再煎煮一至两沸。温服，不限时间。《外台秘要》方：治疗天行各类下痢，可用水六升，分三次服用，疗效显著。忌食猪肉、冷水。
治疗时气赤白痢的方剂（出自《圣惠方》）
鳖甲（二两涂醋炙烤令黄，去除裙边） 阿胶（一两捣碎炒黄干燥） 赤小豆（一合炒熟）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用不限时间，用米粥汁调服三钱。
雄黄丸：治疗时气热毒下痢赤白，以及下部毒瓦斯，排出如布丝般的细小虫子，长四五寸，黑头尖尾。
雄黄（一分研细） 丹砂（五钱研细） 干姜（五钱炮制） 附子（五钱炮裂去皮脐）。以上药物捣碎研为细末。用炼蜜调和，捣击五百下，制成绿豆大小的丸剂。每次服用十丸，空腹时用米饮送服。
麝香丸：治疗天行热毒下痢赤白，长期下痢脓血，以及下部毒瓦斯，常排出如布丝线般细小的虫子，有的长达四寸，黑头尖尾。
麝香（一分） 附子（三分炮制） 雄黄（二分） 丹砂（二分） 干姜（二分）。以上五味药，分别捣碎过筛后，再混合研磨。用蜜调和制成小豆大小的丸剂。每次服用一丸，老人小孩减半。疗效确切。忌食猪肉、生血等物。
竹茹饮：治疗痢疾后感染天行病，出现头痛，持续三四天，进食即呕吐的情况。
竹茹（二两） 橘皮（二两） 生姜（四两） 人参（二两） 芦根（切段一升） 粳米（一合）。以上药物切碎，用水六升，煮取二升五合。滤去药渣，分五六次温服。服药期间随意饮食。忌食热面、生冷食物。
(Attached Discussion)
After the treatment of vomiting and purging for epidemic febrile diseases (Shiqi), both the exterior (Biao) and interior (Li) aspects of the body become deficient. Heat-toxin (Redu) takes advantage of this deficiency to enter the stomach and intestines, resulting in dysentery with yellow-red stool, or the passage of pus and blood. The whole body experiences high fever, and pain occurs around the umbilicus and abdomen. If the pulse is rapid (Shu), the condition will heal spontaneously; if the pulse is deep and wiry (Chen Xian), the condition will definitely worsen; if the pulse is large (Da), it indicates that the disease process has not yet ceased. All these are caused by the pathogenic factor of heat-toxin.

Shengma San (Cinnamon Twig and Cimicifuga Powder) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats epidemic heat-toxin attacking the stomach and intestines, causing persistent dysentery.
*Cimicifugae Rhizoma* (Shengma) (5 qian) *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (Danggui) (5 qian, chopped and lightly stir-fried) *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian) (5 qian, stamens removed and lightly stir-fried) *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao) (5 qian, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped) *Cinnamomi Cortex* (Guixin) (5 qian) *Paeoniae Radix Rubra* (Chishaoyao) (5 qian) *Phellodendri Cortex* (Huangbai) (5 qian, lightly stir-fried and chopped). Grind the above ingredients into a powder. Take 5 qian per dose, decoct with one large cup of water until reduced to one-fifth of the original volume. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time. *Waitai Miyao* formula: Treats epidemic toxic disease with severe hot dysentery. Use three sheng of water, boil to obtain one sheng, and take in one dose. Avoid eating kelp (Haizao), Chinese cabbage (Songcai), pork, cold water, raw green onions, etc. This formula is also known as Qi Wu Shengma Tang (Seven-Ingredient Cimicifuga Decoction).
Longgu San (Dragon Bone Powder) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats various types of persistent dysentery due to epidemic conditions. Suitable for use.
*Os Draconis* (Longgu) (3 liang) *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian) (3 liang, stamens removed and stir-fried) *Phellodendri Cortex* (Huangbai) (3 liang, lightly roasted) *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (Danggui) (3 liang, chopped and stir-fried) *Colla Corii Asini* (Ejiao) (3 liang, crushed and stir-fried until yellow). Grind the above ingredients into a powder. Take 5 qian per dose, decoct with one large cup of water until reduced to one-fifth of the original volume. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
Hu Ye San (Oak Leaf Powder) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats excess heat in the large intestine due to epidemic conditions, causing persistent hematochezia and pain below the umbilicus. Suitable for use.

*Mume Fructus* (Wumei rou) (10 pieces, lightly stir-fried) *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian) (3 liang, stamens removed and lightly stir-fried). Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take at any time without counting hours, swallow ten pills with rice gruel liquid.
Huanglian Tang (Coptis Decoction) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats epidemic heat-toxin dysentery.
*Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (Danggui) (2 liang, stir-fried) *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian) (2 liang, stir-fried) *Phellodendri Cortex* (Huangbai) (2 liang, chopped and roasted). Grind the above ingredients into a powder. Take 5 qian per dose, decoct with one large cup of water until reduced to one-fifth of the original volume. Strain the dregs, add one teaspoon of honey, and boil for one or two more boils. Take warm at any time. *Waitai Miyao* formula: Treats various types of epidemic dysentery. Use six sheng of water, take in three doses. Effective. Avoid pork and cold water.

*Testudinis et Carapax et Plastrum* (Biejia) (2 liang, coated with vinegar and roasted until yellow, remove skirt-like edges) *Colla Corii Asini* (Ejiao) (1 liang, crushed and stir-fried until yellow and dry) *Phaseoli Semen Rubrum* (Chixiaodou) (1 he, stir-fried until cooked). Grind the above ingredients into a powder. Take at any time without counting hours, mix with three qian using rice gruel liquid for administration.
Xionghuang Wan (Realgar Pill): Treats epidemic heat-toxin dysentery with red and white discharge, and lower jiao toxic qi, passing small worms like threads of cloth, four to five cun long, with black heads and sharp tails.
*Xionghuang* (Realgar) (1 fen, ground) *Cinnabaris* (Dansha) (5 qian, ground) *Zingiberis Rhizoma* (Ganjiang) (5 qian, processed) *Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata* (Fuzi) (5 qian, processed until cracked, skin and navel removed). Pound and grind the above ingredients into powder. Mix with refined honey, pound five hundred times, and form pills the size of mung beans. Take ten pills per dose, swallow with rice drink on an empty stomach.
Shexiang Wan (Musk Pill): Treats epidemic heat-toxin dysentery with red and white discharge, chronic passage of pus and blood, and lower jiao toxic qi, often passing small worms like threads of cloth, some up to four cun long, with black heads and sharp tails.
*Moschus* (Shexiang) (1 fen) *Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata* (Fuzi) (3 fen, processed) *Xionghuang* (Realgar) (2 fen) *Cinnabaris* (Dansha) (2 fen) *Zingiberis Rhizoma* (Ganjiang) (2 fen). The above five medicinal materials are each pounded and sifted, then further mixed and processed. Mix with honey to form pills the size of adzuki beans. Take one pill per dose; elderly and children take half. Effective. Avoid pork, raw blood, and other such substances.
Formula for treating severe hot dysentery four to five days into an epidemic illness. (See Huanglian Longgu Tang).
Zhuru Yin (Bamboo Shavings Drink): Treats headache following dysentery contracted from epidemic conditions, lasting three to four days, with vomiting immediately after eating.
*Bambusae Caulis in Taenia* (Zhuru) (2 liang) *Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium* (Jupi) (2 liang) *Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens* (Shengjiang) (4 liang) *Ginseng Radix* (Renshen) (2 liang) *Phragmitis Rhizoma* (Lugen) (1 sheng, cut) *Oryza Sativa* (Jingmi) (1 he). Cut the above ingredients. Boil with six sheng of water to obtain two sheng five he. Strain the dregs. Divide into five or six warm doses. Diet is unrestricted during this period. Avoid hot noodles and raw/cold foods.
