After taking the aforementioned medication, the patient experiences fullness and oppression in the chest and diaphragm. This is due to excessive yang in the upper energizer, or the medicinal effect being too strong, leading to heat in the upper energizer. If there is abdominal distension, qi deficiency, and tinnitus, continuously apply the ash-package ironing method without interruption. Instruct the patient to disregard other matters and focus solely on thorough ironing; the ash packages can be replaced continuously. If, after ironing with the ash package, the patient has two or three bouts of diarrhea, or passes two to three sheng of urine, or exhibits slight sweating, this indicates that the yin pathogen is being expelled outward or downward. Do not doubt this. For mild cases, recovery is achieved as the remaining pathogenic qi is expelled and the disease resolves. If the patient's pulse at the three regions (cun, guan, chi) is deep, and the cun pulse is smaller than the guan and chi pulses, this indicates yin excess. Warm the middle with medicinals to disperse yin qi. It is appropriate to administer Houpo Wan (Magnolia Bark Pill). Medicinals in this category include Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Tangerine Peel), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Ginseng), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, White Atractylodes Rhizome), Huoxiang (Agastachis Herba, Patchouli), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese Angelica), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, Manchurian Wild Ginger), and the like. The treatment principle of Shenshu Tang (Divine Atractylodes Decoction) is the same. For treating dryness and thirst in a yin pattern, cool-natured medicinals must not be mistakenly used. If hot-natured medicinals are taken cold, it is permissible only when there is latent yang internally. If the pulse is deficient and completely lacking in strength upon palpation, or if the patient has chronically poor nourishment, the medicinals should only be taken warm.
Shenshu Tang (Divine Atractylodes Decoction) treats internal consumption of cold substances and external contraction of cold pathogens, presenting with absence of sweating.
Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma, Atractylodes Rhizome) (2 liang, processed)
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, Saposhnikovia Root) (2 liang)
Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Licorice Root) (2 liang, honey-fried)
The above ingredients are crushed. Decoct with fresh ginger and water, adding three cun of Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus, Scallion White).
For treating chui nai (acute mastitis) ... (The original text has a gap or marker here; "mai yi" might indicate the start of modification methods, but the context is incoherent; the original marker is retained). Below are examples of modifications for Shenshu Tang based on the Six Qi dominating the heavens:
When Taiyang Cold Water dominates the heavens, add Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, Cinnamon Twig) and Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, Notopterygium Root).
When Yangming Dry Metal dominates the heavens, add Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Dahurian Angelica Root) and Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, Black Cohosh Rhizome).
When Shaoyang Minister Fire dominates the heavens, add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, Baical Skullcap Root), Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix, Rehmannia Root), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Sichuan Lovage Rhizome) ... (The original text has a gap or marker "ying xiang" here; the original marker is retained).
Baizhu Tang (White Atractylodes Decoction) (from *Ji Sheng Ba Cui Fang*) treats damage from cold food and external contraction of wind pathogens, presenting with sweating.
Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, White Atractylodes Rhizome) (3 liang)
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, Saposhnikovia Root) (2 liang)
Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Licorice Root) (1 liang, honey-fried)
The above ingredients are crushed. For each dose, weigh 3 qian, add one cup of water and three slices of fresh ginger, and decoct together ... (The text after "tong jian" seems to jump; it might describe the decoction method). If there is spontaneous sweating ... (The text before "ni cu ming qi" is missing; it might refer to critical condition due to erroneous treatment). The original formula in *Huo Ren Shu* (likely referring to a formula for similar conditions) is Weirui Tang (Polygonati Odorati Decoction), but because it contains Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, Ephedra), it is not dared to be used. It is appropriate to use the aforementioned Baizhu Tang as the main treatment.
If there is dizziness, sweating, and muscular twitching (jin ti rou run), add Muli (Ostreae Concha, Oyster Shell).
... (The original text ends with "zhe.", which might be the start of a symptom description or modification method, but the content is incomplete).
