痰癖这一病症，是由于三焦气机升降失常，导致水饮停滞，流注于胁下。寒气侵袭，就会引起胁肋部坚硬胀满，按压时有水声。
方剂：三建散，治疗各种风痛、痰饮、坚癖、疟疾等久治不愈的病症。
药材：芫花（醋炒）、桔梗、紫菀（去土）、大戟、乌头（炮裂去皮脐）、五加皮、附子（炮裂去皮脐）、躅麻、长生草、荜茇、狗脊、薯蓣、细辛（去苗叶）、熟干地黄（焙）、当归（锉碎焙干）、薏苡仁、川芎、杜仲（去粗皮锉末）、浓朴（去粗皮姜汁炙）、黄芪（细锉）、干姜（炮）、芍药、桂枝（去粗皮）、山茱萸、黄芩（去黑心）、五味子、柏子仁、远志、巴戟天（去心土）、柴胡（去苗）、旋复花。以上药材分别捣碎，混合均匀，制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。
方剂：旋复花丸，治疗右胁下停聚痰癖，水饮结聚在两胁，导致胀满、消瘦、不能进食、食物不消化、喜欢吐唾沫、干呕、大便困难欲倒、胁下疼痛而生成痰饮。痰饮停聚，恐日久难愈，必须治疗。
药材：旋复花（五分）、大黄（七分蒸）、茯苓（三分）、泽泻（四分）、人参、桂心、皂角（去皮子炙）、葵菜（取水中浮者）。以上药材分别捣碎，混合均匀，制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。
方剂：旋复花丸（出自《圣惠方》），治疗痰癖，水饮结聚，两胁满胀，身体消瘦，不能饮食，食物不消化，吐唾沫干呕，大便困难欲倒，胁下疼痛。
