Ascaris lumbricoides is the "long worm" mentioned in the *Treatise on Nine Parasites*. It is now analyzed and treated separately. Compared to other parasites, it causes greater harm to humans. Observing its attacks, there is a contraction pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions caused by cold qi.
The *Taiping Shenghui Fang* states: Ascaris lumbricoides is one of the nine parasites. It can be one chi long, or five cun long. It may move due to weakness of the fu and zang organs, or die after consuming sweet and fatty foods.
**Wumei Wan (Mume Pill)**: Treats "Hui Jue" (Ascaris-induced syncope/cold extremities). The patient becomes quiet yet feels irritability.
