日。连进十数服。可免变证。使毒瓦斯出外。服之稍迟。毒瓦斯攻冲脏腑。渐作呕吐。后来多致
咽喉口舌生疮。黑烂生菌。名曰心气绝。饮食药饵。无由可进。如疮发三五日之后。此药但
可间服。当别用药以治之。杨氏家藏方言。有人因鼻衄初愈。不曾表汗。余毒在经络。背发
大疽。自背下连腰胁。肿甚坚如石。色极紫黑。医以凉药敷之。中夜大呕。及连进此药三四
服。呕遂止。既而疮溃。出赤水淋漓。四十日而愈。又有患瘰 者。痛过辄呕亦止。近见有
人病疽。医者不肯用此药。恐伤脾胃。愚故引杨氏之言。以解世人之惑。
秘方白梅散 治一切无名痈疖、脑痈、乳痈。及小儿软疖。未成者散。已成者小。
未溃者破。未愈者安。排脓止痛。去旧愈新。其效如神。万金不换。一应毒物休食立效
。
盐白梅（火烧存性研为细末） 轻粉（少许不可多无亦得）
上细末。用真香油浓调。翎毛蘸抹。如成脓未溃。中心留些休抹通气。抹至脓尽不妨。
频抹为妙。背痈腿痈皆可用。
黄 丸 清心内固。
绵黄 人参（各半两） 上细末。入真生龙脑一钱研细。用生藕汁和丸绿豆大。每用
三
十丸。温熟水下。加至四十丸。日三服。
生肉神异膏 治痈疽坏烂。诸疮发毒。
雄黄（五钱） 滑石（倍用） 上为末。洗后掺疮上。外用绵子覆盖相护。凡洗后破烂
者。
用此贴之。
治疖毒及痈疽发背。初作时贴散立效。（一名芙蓉散）
草乌头（一名射罔用以射虎者生去皮） 秋后芙蓉叶（阴干） 上为细末。生姜自然汁
调如
膏。敷疮肿四面。留一小窍出毒瓦斯。干则易之。其冷如冰。痛止肿散。毒瓦斯盛者加南星末等
分。
五香连翘汤 凡一切恶核、瘰 、痈疽、恶肿患。皆主之方。
青木香（三分） 桑寄生（二分） 沉香（一两） 鸡舌香（去顶一分） 木通（一两）
生黄
（一两） 麝香（二钱） 大黄（一两酒浸） 乳香 藿香 川生麻 连翘（各半两） 上
为细末。
每服四钱。水一大盏。煎至七分。任性服。略疏通或即取下恶物。然后服内托散之类。则毒
势易散。不为深害。亦有随即消散者。此药早服为佳。
地黄煎 补虚除热散乳石。去痈疖痔疾。
用生地黄随多少。用三捣三压。取汁令尽。铜器中汤上煮。勿盖覆令泄气。得减半出之。
布绞去粗碎结浊滓秽。再煎令如饧。丸如弹丸许。酒服日三。
枸杞煎 治虚劳。轻身益气。一切痈疽。
用枸杞三十斤锉。叶生至未落可用茎。叶落至未生可用根。以水一石。煮取五斗。去滓
淀。将滓更釜与水。根据前煮五斗。并前为一斛。澄清去淀。釜中煎取二斗许。更入小铜锅子
煎。令连连如饧止。或瓷器盛。重汤煮更好。每日早朝服一合半。日再。初服一合。渐加。
二圣散 治痈疽发背。阴匿处通身有数十痈者。
用干牛粪烧灰。制下筛。以鸡子白调涂之。干复易。
若已结脓使聚长者方
用栝蒌根为末。以苦酒和敷上。燥复易。赤小豆亦佳。一方蒌根烧存性为末。酒服之。
牛胶饮（一名明胶酒）截痈疽恶疮发险处。服之如毒瓦斯不攻于内。不转恶症。
用牛皮胶通明好者。净洗干。秤四两为准。用酒一碗入胶内。重汤煮。令胶熔透。揽匀
倾出。更浸酒。随意饮尽。若能饮者。以醉为度。不能饮者。亦用酒煎。却浸以白汤。饮尽
为佳。此法活人甚多。一方不用酒。以汤泡动。一方摊纸上。随大小贴之。
国老膏 治一切痈疽。消肿逐毒。使诸发预期服之。能使毒瓦斯不内攻。其效不可具
述。一名独圣汤。
用大横纹粉草二斤。捶碎。河水浸一宿。揉令汁浓。去尽筋滓。再用密绢滤过。银石器
内慢火熬成膏。以瓷罐收入。每服一二匙。无灰酒浸化。白汤亦可。曾服燥药丹剂亦解之。
虽微利无妨。卧时一服。五更一服。取下恶物效。一方以山泉溪涧长流水一小碗。徐蘸水慢
火炙。水尽为度。秤一两为粗末。醇酒三碗。煎二碗。空心服。活血消毒。
远志酒 治一切痈疽发背疖毒恶候。浸大有死血阴毒在中。则不痛。服之即觉痛。
有忧怒等气积而内攻。则痛不可忍。敷之即不痛。或蕴热在内。热逼人手不可近。敷之
即清凉。或气虚血冷。溃而不敛。敷之即敛。若七情内郁。不问虚实寒热治之。凡阴毒
在中者。不觉痛。故敷之即觉痛也。
远志（不以多少泔浸洗去土捶去心。） 为细末。酒一盏。调药末三钱。迟顷澄清饮之。
以滓敷病处。 川韩大夫家。累世用此救人。其验如神。
又方 治痈疽发背。初发时盒饭服此。不问疽生何处。发眉发颐。或头项。或背腰
。或胁。或妇人乳痈。或在手足。
用木莲四十九片。揩去毛研细。酒解温服。功与忍冬草不相上下。先服忍冬酒。后服此。
又方
用龙鳞薜荔一握。细研。以酒解汁温服。能利下恶物。去其根。
又方
用红内消不限多少。纳瓷瓶中。入水。用文武火浓煎。临熟入无灰好酒。与药汁相半。
再煎数十沸去滓。时时服之。留滓焙干为细末。酒浸面糊丸如梧桐子大。空心温酒服下三十
丸。为退疾常服之药。盖力轻故也。药产建昌良。
茱萸散 治痈疽结未成。并气凝滞肿结成块者。
用茱萸微炒。为细末。鸡子清调。涂病处神效。轻者宜用此方。若受重者。既消而再来。
一方不用鸡子清。以醋和涂。或醋和小蒜或姜亦可。
凡痈疽觉见稍大。及发背初作。及不问老少。（一名蜞针正法）
以井边净泥敷疮顶上。看其疮上有一点干处。即是正顶。先以大笔管一个。安于正顶上。
却用大马蜞一条安其中。频以冷水灌。马蜞当吮其正穴。脓血出毒散是效。如毒大蜞小。须
三四条方见功。腹旁黄者力大。若吮着正穴蜞必死。用水救活。其疮即愈。累试甚效。去毒
之一端也。若血不止。以藕节上泥止。白茅花亦妙。马蜞又名黄蜞。本草名水蛭。吴内翰备
急方云。其侄祖仁斋。一日忽觉背疮初肿。后益大。用此治之。至晚即安。
治痈疽恶疮毒肿。赤白游疹。
用五毒草根。醋磨敷疮上。亦捣茎叶敷之。恐毒入腹。亦煮服之效。
胜金方 治发背发脑。及痈疽热疖恶疮等。
以腊月兔头锉。入瓶内密封。久愈佳。涂帛上浓封之。热痛者得药如冰。频换瘥。
寇宗 治丹毒发于背。及一切痈肿。
金星草根叶一分。用酒一大盏煎汁服。不惟下所服石药。且毒去疮愈。如不饮酒。将新
汲水调二钱服。以知为度。
痈疽宣毒方
用黑牵牛去皮取仁。入猪肾中。线扎湿纸包。热火灰内煨香熟。候冷。温酒嚼下。
又方（一名金银散）治痈疽发背。一切疮肿。未结成者服之内消。已结成者服
之易溃。兼减疼痛。
用老翁须草（一名金银花、忍冬草、鹭鸶藤、水杨藤、左缠藤。花五出而白微香。蒂带
红色。野生延蔓）花与叶生捣。暖酒调服。无花只用叶。酒和叶烘暖。可敷疮。
蜀葵膏 治痈疽肿毒恶疮。
黄蜀葵花用盐掺。收入瓷器密封。经年不坏。患处敷之。自平自溃。蜀葵子炒碎。入宣
毒药中尤验。一方冬葵子为末。以酒调之。一方无花根叶皆可。
涌泉膏 治痈疽软而疮头不破。或已破而疮头肿结无脓。
用斑蝥去头足翅。焙为末。揉和蒜膏。如小豆许。点在膏药中。准疮口处贴之。少顷。
脓出即去药。或用绿矾直雀屎少许。用饼药调一点。敷疮头软处。亦破。须四围涂药护之。
神授香附汤 治痈肿结硬。聚毒作痛。
用香附杵去皮。用生姜汁浸一宿。晒干末。每一钱半。米饮调下。或紫苏、甘草。煎汤调下
。进数服肿硬自消。有脓即出。毒瓦斯证亢。便急用。
治痈疽疮肿方
以红茂草采根叶焙干。捣罗为末。冷水调贴。
治痈疽热毒
用糯米三升。拣去粳米。入磁盆内。于端午前四十九日。以冷水浸之。一日两度换水。
轻以水淘转逼去水。勿令搅碎。浸至端午日。取出阴干。生绢袋盛。挂通风处。旋取少许。
炒令焦黑。碾为末。冷水调如膏药。随大小裹定疮口。外绢帛包定。更不要动。直候疮愈。
若痈疽毒疮初发。才觉 肿赤热。急以药膏贴之。明日揭看肿毒。一夜便消。
治诸痈疽发背。或发乳房。初起微赤。
以黄柏末和鸡子白。涂之。
又方
以猪蹄两只。通草六分。以绵裹。合煮作羹食之。
治痈疽痔漏恶疮。及小儿丹方。
以蛴螬为末。敷上。
梅师方 疗痈疽发背初觉。未成脓者成。在胸乳房初起微赤。不急治之即死。速消
方。
以苎麻叶熟捣敷上。日夜敷之。消肿。
拔毒七宝散 治痈疽止痛。
用干荷叶心。当中如钱片。不计多少为粗末。每用三匙。水二碗。慢火煎一碗半。放温。
淋揩干。以太白膏敷。
沈遇明一方（一名二妙散）治痈疽止痛消毒。
荷叶（一两） 本（半两） 上为细末。如前用。
太白膏
用寒水石水飞过。用腊月猪脂调成膏。随疮大小用薄纸摊。贴之。
治痈疽已有疮眼未出脓。痛不可忍。用此药 即脓出。
用巴豆一个。去皮膜。不去心。油盐豉十四个。口中含去皮令软。同研烂。入真麝少许。
如难丸、入少稀糊捏作饼子。或如鼠粪尖。或如丸子。临时看疮口 之。只以纸捻子送入药。
便不
治脑疽发背。肾痈乳痈。一切疮肿等疾。生于险处者。（一名鹿木散）
用鹿木扑在处。人取其叶。捣汁投溪潭中。以醉鱼。江西人谓之鱼酩草。绍兴人谓之鹿
木。腊中取根捣锉。为 咀。每服用三四大钱。无灰酒一大碗。煎至七分。去滓。空心食前
带热服。
人。年老幼小。远年近岁。体虚气实。一切肿疮。凡在身者。种类殊异。悉皆治之。已溃脓
自出。未溃毒自消。
治发背痈疽
只吃白煮萝卜。不以多少。肿散为度。极有神效。
治痈疽发背
有人患肾痈。大小便皆秘。以明净牛皮炭火上烧成灰。研极细。每服五钱。以米饮调下。
服至二两许。下秽恶物。痈肿遂消。不复出脓。凡疮肿皆可服。不拘多少。以脏腑通利为度。
治痈疮疽、痔 、恶疮。
用桐皮水煎。敷之。
治诸痈肿发背。及痈疖已溃烂疼痛。
用夜合煎膏。消痈肿。并续筋骨。
治凡患痈疽恶疮。出黯血不止者。
取地骨皮不拘多少。净洗。先刮上面粗皮留之。再刮取细白瓤。取粗皮同地骨一处煎汤。
淋疮上。令脓血净。以细瓤贴之。立效。有一朝士腹胁间病疽。经岁不瘥。人烧骨皮敷之。
初淋洗
以细瓤贴
白膏药 治痈疽、恶疮、发背、附骨痈等疮。
用蓖麻子去皮。研为泥。旋摊膏药贴之。消肿散毒。
治痈疽疖毒。脓水不出。
用芙蓉花煮水竹筒令热。即以水竹筒吸于疮孔上。实时吸出其脓。一方用芙蓉叶煮。或
小瓢代竹筒用。
麝香散
白矾（明者不拘多少枯过略存性出火毒） 上细研。入黄丹如桃花色即止。却多入麝香。
如治疾后。脓水出之不已。用此药干掺。合疮口。
家猪散 凡破诸病肉浓处。当先广封四面。不尔疮破裂令气泄。有久患痈疽诸肿毒
。与疽生胫间。及一切无名恶疮。百药罔效。经年不瘥。或骨疽亦名胫疮。深烂青黑。
四边坚强。中央脓血恶汁出。百药治不瘥。汁溃好肉处皆肿。亦有碎骨从中出者。可温
赤龙皮汤洗。夏月日日洗。冬月三日四日一洗。溃肉多者。可时敷白 茹散蚀去。可二
日三回敷。后长敷家猪散得瘥。
用取猪矢烧作灰。下绢筛。以粉掺败疮中令满。汁出脱去便敷。长敷须瘥。若更生青肉。
复着白 茹散如前法。
粢米粉方 疗诸痈疽发背。及乳方。
用熬粢粉令黑。鸡子白和之。以涂练上贴痈。小穿练上作小口。以泄毒瓦斯令散。燥复易。
又方
用釜底土捣取散。以鸡子中黄和涂之。加少豉弥良。以五月葫及少盐佳。
疗发背痈肿。热 已熟者即出脓。未熟者自然消除。
用牛蒡根嫩者。洗去土。勿令见风。细切一大升。以水三大升。煮令烂。绞去滓。更盛
于瓷器中。重汤煎之。使如稀糊以涂。烂帛贴肿上。热则易之。
草乌头散 治肿毒痈疽。未溃令内消。已溃令速愈。
取草乌头末水调。鸡翎扫肿上。有疮者先以膏药贴定。无令药着疮。初涂病患觉冷如冰。
疮乃不痛。昔有人病疮肿颇甚。以此涂之。坐中便见皮皱。稍稍而消。
神明膏 治痈疽、疮疖、毒肿。无头疼痛。或有数头。烦热气毒软疖。
以五灵脂不拘多少。微炒为末。新水调。涂于故绯绢上。贴之。
消痈肿。
以白蔹二分。藜芦一分为末。酒和如泥。粘贴日三良。一方醋和。
治痈疽痔 疮。及小儿丹。
以水煮棘根汁。洗之。
治羊疽疮。有虫痒。
以附子八分。藜芦二分。为末敷之。虫自然出。
疽疮骨出。
用黄连、牡蛎。各二分为末。先盐酒洗后敷。若发疽于十指端。及色赤黑。甚难疗。若
骨疽积年。汁出不瘥。熬明胶粘敷疮上。及破生鲤鱼以 之。如炊顷。刮视有小虫出。更洗
敷药。虫
丹痈疽发。浸淫进长。
（杨氏）说：“连续服用十几剂，可以避免病情发生变证，使毒邪从体表排出。如果服药稍晚，毒邪就会攻冲脏腑，逐渐引起呕吐，后来多导致咽喉和口舌生疮，黑烂并长出菌状物，这叫做‘心气绝’，此时饮食药物都无法进入体内。如果疮疡发作三五天之后，此药只能间歇服用，应当另外用药来治疗。”
杨氏家藏方记载：有人因鼻出血刚痊愈，没有通过发汗表散余毒，导致余毒滞留经络，背部发出大疽，从背部向下连及腰胁，肿胀非常严重且坚硬如石头，颜色极紫黑。医生用凉药外敷，半夜时病人剧烈呕吐。随后连续服用此药三四剂，呕吐便停止了。接着疮疡溃破，流出赤色脓水淋漓不止，四十天后痊愈。又有患瘰疬的人，疼痛剧烈时也伴有呕吐，服用此药后呕吐也止住了。近来见到有人患疽病，医生不肯使用此药，担心损伤脾胃。我因此引用杨氏的话，来解除世人的疑惑。
秘方白梅散：治疗一切无名痈疖、脑痈、乳痈，以及小儿软疖。未成脓的使其消散，已成脓的使其缩小，未溃破的使其破溃，未痊愈的使其安宁。具有排脓止痛、去旧生新的功效，效果神奇，价值万金不换。食用任何有毒之物，立竿见影。
盐白梅（火烧存性，研为细末） 轻粉（少许，不可多用，不用也可以）
以上研为细末。用真香油调浓，用羽毛蘸取涂抹。如果已成脓但未溃破，中心部位留一点不要涂，以通气机。涂至脓液排尽即可。频繁涂抹为好。背痈、腿痈都可以使用。
绵黄芪 人参（各半两） 以上研为细末，加入真生龙脑一钱，研细。用生藕汁和丸，如绿豆大小。每次服用三十丸，温熟水送下。可加至四十丸，每日三次服用。
雄黄（五钱） 滑石（用量加倍） 以上研为末，清洗疮面后掺在疮上。外用棉子覆盖保护。凡是清洗后破烂的疮口，用此药贴敷。
治疗疖毒及痈疽发背，初起时贴敷此散，立竿见影。（又名芙蓉散）
草乌头（又名射罔，用于射虎者，需生去皮） 秋后芙蓉叶（阴干） 以上研为细末，用生姜自然汁调成膏状，敷在疮肿四周，留出一个小孔让毒邪排出。干了就更换。感觉冷如冰，痛止肿消。毒邪盛者，加南星末等分。
五香连翘汤：凡是一切恶核、瘰疬、痈疽、恶肿患病，都以此方为主治。
青木香（三分） 桑寄生（二分） 沉香（一两） 鸡舌香（去顶一分） 木通（一两） 生黄芪（一两） 麝香（二钱） 大黄（一两，酒浸） 乳香 藿香 川升麻 连翘（各半两） 以上研为细末。每次服用四钱，用水一大盏，煎至七分，随意服用。稍微疏通或立即排出恶物后，再服用内托散之类的药物，则毒势容易消散，不会造成深重危害。也有随即消散的。此药早服为佳。
用生地黄适量，三捣三压，取尽汁液。在铜器中隔水加热煮，不要盖盖子以防泄气。煮到减半时取出。用布绞去粗碎结浊的渣滓秽物，再煎至像饴糖一样稠。制成弹丸大小的丸子，酒送服，每日三次。
用枸杞三十斤切碎。叶子生长到未落时可取茎叶，叶子落尽到未再生时可取根。用水一石，煮取五斗。去渣沉淀。将渣滓再次放入锅中加水，根据前面的方法煮取五斗。合并前后两次药液为一斛。澄清去渣沉淀。在锅中煎取约二斗。再倒入小铜锅中煎，直到连续沸腾像饴糖一样停止。或用瓷器盛装，隔水加热更好。每天早晨服用一合半，每日两次。初次服用一合，逐渐增加剂量。
用干牛粪烧成灰，过滤筛细。用鸡蛋清调和涂抹。干了就更换。
如果已经结脓聚集成疮的，
用栝蒌根研为末，用醋调和敷在上面。干了就更换。赤小豆也很好。另一法是将栝蒌根烧存性研为末，酒送服。
牛胶饮（一名明胶酒）：截断痈疽恶疮在危险部位的发作。服用后毒邪不攻入内脏，不转为恶症。
用牛皮胶透明好的，洗净晾干，称四两为准。用一碗酒放入胶内，隔水加热煮，令胶完全熔化，搅拌均匀倒出。再用酒浸泡，随意饮尽。能喝酒的，以喝醉为限度；不能喝酒的，也用酒煎，然后浸泡在白开水里，饮尽为好。此法救活很多人。另一法不用酒，用开水泡开。另一法摊在纸上，随大小贴敷。
国老膏：治疗一切痈疽，消肿逐毒，使各种疮疡预期服用，能使毒邪不内攻。效果无法详尽描述。又名独圣汤。
用大横纹甘草二斤，捶碎，用河水浸泡一夜，揉搓使汁液浓稠。去掉所有筋和渣滓，再用密绢过滤。在银石器内用慢火熬成膏，装入瓷罐。每次服用一二匙，用无灰酒化开，白开水也可以。曾服用过燥烈丹药的也能解其毒性。即使轻微腹泻也无妨。睡前服一次，五更时服一次。排出恶物即见效。另一法用山泉溪涧长流水一小碗，慢慢蘸水用慢火炙烤，水尽为止。称一两为粗末，醇酒三碗，煎至二碗，空腹服用。活血消毒。
远志酒：治疗一切痈疽发背疖毒恶候。如果有忧怒等气积滞内攻，则痛不可忍，服用此药即觉痛（说明气血通畅）。如果有瘀血阴毒在中，则不痛，服用此药即觉痛。如果有蕴热在内，热逼人手不可近，敷之即清凉。或者气虚血冷，溃破而不收敛，敷之即收敛。如果是七情内郁，不问虚实寒热均可治疗。凡是阴毒在中的，不觉痛，所以敷之即觉痛。
远志（不限多少，用淘米水浸洗去土，捶去心） 研为细末。用一盏酒，调药末三钱，稍待澄清后饮用。用渣滓敷在患处。韩大夫家，世代用此救人，效果神奇。
又一方：治疗痈疽发背，初发时务必服用此方。不问疽生在何处，发于眉、发颐，或头项，或背腰，或胁，或妇人乳痈，或在手足。
用木莲四十九片，擦去毛研细，用酒化解温服。功效与忍冬草不相上下。先服忍冬酒，后服此方。
又一方：
用龙鳞薜荔一握，细研，用酒化解汁液温服。能利下恶物，去除病根。
又一方：
用红内消不限多少，纳入瓷瓶中，加水，用文武火浓煎。临熟时无灰好酒，与药汁各半。再煎数十沸，去渣。时时服用。留渣焙干研为细末，酒浸面糊丸如梧桐子大，空腹温酒送下三十丸，作为退疾常服的药物。因为药力较轻。药材产自建昌最好。
用茱萸微炒，研为细末，用鸡蛋清调和，涂于患处，神效。轻症宜用此方。如果受邪重者，既消而复来。另一法不用鸡蛋清，用醋调和涂抹。或者醋和小蒜或姜也可以。
凡是痈疽觉得稍大，以及发背初起，以及不问老少。（又名蜞针正法）
用井边干净泥土敷在疮顶上，看疮上有一点干燥的地方，就是正顶。先用大笔管一个，安在正顶上。然后用大马蜞一条放在其中，频频用冷水浇灌。马蜞会吸吮正穴，脓血出、毒散即为有效。如果毒大蜞小，须三四条才能见效。腹部旁侧黄色的马蜞力气大。如果吸着正穴，马蜞必死，用水救活。疮即愈。多次试验很有效。这是去毒的方法之一。如果血不止，用藕节上的泥止血，白茅花也很好。马蜞又名黄蜞，本草名水蛭。吴内翰《备急方》说，他的侄孙祖仁斋，一天忽然觉得背疮初肿，后来变大，用此法治之，到晚上即安。
用五毒草根，醋磨敷在疮上，也捣茎叶敷之。恐怕毒入腹，煮服也有效。
用腊月兔头切碎，放入瓶内密封，越久越好。涂在帛上厚厚地封住。热痛者得药如冰，频繁更换可愈。
金星草根叶一分，用酒一大盏煎汁服。不仅能下所服的石药，而且毒去疮愈。如果不饮酒，用新汲水调二钱服，以见效为度。
痈疽宣毒方：
用黑牵牛去皮取仁，放入猪肾中，线扎湿纸包，在热火灰内煨香熟。候冷，温酒嚼下。
又方（一名金银散）：治疗痈疽发背，一切疮肿。未结成者服之内消，已结成者服之易溃，兼减疼痛。

涌泉膏：治疗痈疽软而疮头不破，或已破而疮头肿结无脓。
用斑蝥去头足翅，焙为末，揉和蒜膏，如小豆许，点在膏药中，对准疮口处贴之。少顷，脓出即去药。或用绿矾、雀屎少许，用饼药调一点，敷在疮头软处，也能破溃。须四周围涂药保护。
用香附杵去皮，用生姜汁浸泡一夜，晒干研末。每一钱半，米饮调下。或用紫苏、甘草煎汤调下。进服几剂，肿硬自消，有脓即出。毒邪证亢，便急用。
治痈疽热毒：
用糯米三升，拣去粳米，入磁盆内，在端午前四十九日，用冷水浸之。一日两度换水。轻轻用水淘转，逼去水，勿令搅碎。浸至端午日，取出阴干，生绢袋盛，挂通风处，旋取少许，炒令焦黑，碾为末，冷水调如膏药，随大小裹定疮口，外绢帛包定，更不要动，直候疮愈。若痈疽毒疮初发，才觉肿赤热，急以药膏贴之，明日揭看肿毒，一夜便消。
梅师方：疗痈疽发背初觉，未成脓者成，在胸乳房初起微赤，不急治之即死。速消方。
以苎麻叶熟捣敷上，日夜敷之，消肿。
拔毒七宝散：治疗痈疽止痛。
用干荷叶心，当中如钱片，不计多少为粗末。每用三匙，水二碗，慢火煎一碗半，放温，淋揩干，以太白膏敷。
沈遇明一方（一名二妙散）：治疗痈疽止痛消毒。
荷叶（一两） 泽兰（半两） 以上研为细末，如前用法。
太白膏：
用寒水石水飞过，用腊月猪脂调成膏，随疮大小用薄纸摊，贴之。
治痈疽已有疮眼未出脓，痛不可忍，用此药即脓出。
用巴豆一个，去皮膜，不去心，油盐豉十四个，口中含去皮令软，同研烂，入真麝少许。如难丸，入少稀糊捏作饼子，或如鼠粪尖，或如丸子，临时看疮口塞之。只以纸捻子送入药，便不痛。
治脑疽发背，肾痈乳痈，一切疮肿等疾，生于险处者。（一名鹿木散）
用鹿木扑在处，人取其叶，捣汁投溪潭中，以醉鱼。江西人谓之鱼酩草，绍兴人谓之鹿木。腊中取根捣锉，为咀。每服用三四大钱，无灰酒一大碗，煎至七分，去滓，空心食前带热服。
人，年老幼小，远年近岁，体虚气实，一切肿疮，凡在身者，种类殊异，悉皆治之。已溃脓自出，未溃毒自消。
治痈疽发背：
有人患肾痈，大小便皆秘，以明净牛皮炭火上烧成灰，研极细，每服五钱，以米饮调下。服至二两许，下秽恶物，痈肿遂消，不复出脓。凡疮肿皆可服，不拘多少，以脏腑通利为度。
治诸痈肿发背，及痈疖已溃烂疼痛。
用夜合煎膏，消痈肿，并续筋骨。
治凡患痈疽恶疮，出黯血不止者。
取地骨皮不拘多少，净洗，先刮上面粗皮留之，再刮取细白瓤。取粗皮同地骨一处煎汤，淋疮上，令脓血净，以细瓤贴之，立效。有一朝士腹胁间病疽，经岁不瘥，人烧骨皮敷之。初淋洗，以细瓤贴。
白膏药：治疗痈疽、恶疮、发背、附骨痈等疮。
用蓖麻子去皮，研为泥，旋摊膏药贴之，消肿散毒。
治痈疽疖毒，脓水不出。
用芙蓉花煮水竹筒令热，即以水竹筒吸于疮孔上，实时吸出其脓。一方用芙蓉叶煮，或小瓢代竹筒用。
麝香散：
白矾（明者不拘多少，枯过略存性，出火毒） 以上细研，入黄丹如桃花色即止，却多入麝香。如治疾后，脓水出之不已，用此药干掺，合疮口。
家猪散：凡破诸病肉浓处，当先广封四面，不尔疮破裂令气泄。有久患痈疽诸肿毒，与疽生胫间，及一切无名恶疮，百药罔效，经年不瘥。或骨疽亦名胫疮，深烂青黑，四边坚强，中央脓血恶汁出，百药治不瘥，汁溃好肉处皆肿，亦有碎骨从中出者。可温赤龙皮汤洗，夏月日日洗，冬月三日四日一洗。溃肉多者，可时敷白茹散蚀去，可二日三回敷，后长敷家猪散得瘥。
用取猪矢烧作灰，下绢筛，以粉掺败疮中令满，汁出脱去便敷，长敷须瘥。若更生青肉，复着白茹散如前法。
粢米粉方：疗诸痈疽发背，及乳方。
用熬粢粉令黑，鸡子白和之，以涂练上贴痈，小穿练上作小口，以泄毒瓦斯令散，燥复易。
又方：
用釜底土捣取散，以鸡子中黄和涂之，加少豉弥良，以五月葫及少盐佳。
疗发背痈肿，热已熟者即出脓，未熟者自然消除。
用牛蒡根嫩者，洗去土，勿令见风，细切一大升，以水三大升，煮令烂，绞去滓，更盛于瓷器中，重汤煎之，使如稀糊以涂，烂帛贴肿上，热则易之。
草乌头散：治疗肿毒痈疽，未溃令内消，已溃令速愈。
取草乌头末水调，鸡翎扫肿上，有疮者先以膏药贴定，无令药着疮。初涂病患觉冷如冰，疮乃不痛。昔有人病疮肿颇甚，以此涂之，坐中便见皮皱，稍稍而消。
神明膏：治疗痈疽、疮疖、毒肿，无头疼痛，或有数头，烦热气毒软疖。
以五灵脂不拘多少，微炒为末，新水调，涂于故绯绢上，贴之。
消痈肿：
以白蔹二分，藜芦一分为末，酒和如泥，粘贴日三良。一方醋和。
治羊疽疮，有虫痒。
以附子八分，藜芦二分，为末敷之，虫自然出。
疽疮骨出：
用黄连、牡蛎，各二分为末，先盐酒洗后敷。若发疽于十指端，及色赤黑，甚难疗。若骨疽积年，汁出不瘥，熬明胶粘敷疮上，及破生鲤鱼以熨之。如炊顷，刮视有小虫出，更洗敷药，虫...
Yang said: "Continuously taking more than ten doses can prevent the transformation of symptoms and allow the toxic pathogen to be expelled from the exterior. If taken slightly late, the toxic pathogen will attack the zang-fu organs, gradually causing vomiting. Later, it often leads to sores in the throat and tongue, blackening and rotting with fungal growth, known as 'Heart Qi Exhaustion.' At this stage, food and medicine cannot enter the body. If the sore appears three to five days after onset, this medicine should only be taken intermittently, and other medicines should be used for treatment."
The Yang family's secret recipe records: A person suffered from a large carbuncle on the back after recovering from epistaxis without sweating out residual pathogens, leaving residual toxins in the meridians. The swelling extended from the back down to the waist and flanks, severe and hard as stone, extremely purple-black. The physician applied cooling herbs externally, causing severe vomiting at midnight. After taking this medicine three or four times consecutively, the vomiting stopped. Subsequently, the sore ulcerated, discharging red pus continuously, and healed in forty days. Another patient with scrofula also experienced vomiting due to severe pain, which stopped after taking this medicine. Recently, I have seen patients with carbuncles whose physicians refused to use this medicine, fearing damage to the spleen and stomach. Therefore, I cite Yang's words to dispel worldly doubts.
Secret Formula Bai Mei San (White Plum Powder): Treats all nameless carbuncles and furuncles, brain abscesses, breast abscesses, and soft furuncles in children. It dissipates unformed lumps, reduces formed ones, ruptures those not yet ulcerated, and stabilizes those not yet healed. It expels pus, relieves pain, removes old tissue, and promotes new growth. Its efficacy is miraculous, worth ten thousand gold pieces, and not to be exchanged. It provides immediate relief for poisoning from any toxic substances.
Salted White Plum (burned until carbonized but retaining its nature, ground into fine powder) Light Mercury (a small amount; optional). Grind the above into fine powder. Mix thickly with pure sesame oil. Apply with a feather. If pus has formed but not ulcerated, leave the center uncoated to allow qi circulation. Apply until pus is exhausted. Frequent application is best. Applicable to back carbuncles and leg carbuncles.
Huangqi Wan (Astragalus Pill): Clears the heart and consolidates the interior.
Mian Huangqi (Radix Astragali) Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng) (each half tael). Grind into fine powder. Add Zhen Sheng Long Nao (Borneolum Syntheticum), one qian, and grind finely. Mix with fresh lotus root juice to form pills the size of mung beans. Take thirty pills each time, washed down with warm cooked water. Increase to forty pills if necessary. Take three times daily.
Shengrou Shenyi Gao (Raw Flesh Miraculous Ointment): Treats necrotic carbuncles and ulcers, and various toxic swellings.
Xiong Huang (Realgar, five qian) Hua Shi (Talcum, double the amount). Grind into powder. After washing the wound, sprinkle the powder on it. Cover with cotton for protection. Use this paste for washed, broken wounds.
For treating furuncle toxins and back carbuncles, apply this powder at the initial stage for immediate effect. (Also called Furong San).
Cao Wu Tou (Aconitum carmichaelii debx., also known as She Wang, used for hunting tigers; peel off the skin while raw) Qiu Hou Furong Ye (Hibiscus mutabilis leaves dried in shade after autumn). Grind into fine powder. Mix with natural ginger juice to form a paste. Apply around the swollen area, leaving a small hole to allow toxic discharge. Replace when dry. It feels cold as ice, stops pain, and reduces swelling. For severe toxicity, add equal parts of Nan Xing (Arisaema erubescens) powder.
Wuxiang Lianqiao Tang (Five-Aromatic Forsythia Decoction): The primary formula for all malignant nodules, scrofula, carbuncles, and malignant swellings.
Qing Mu Xiang (Aquilaria sinensis) Sang Ji Sheng (Taxillus chinensis) Chen Xiang (Aquilaria agallocha) Ji She Xiang (Litsea cubeba) Mu Tong (Akebia quinata) Sheng Huangqi (Radix Astragali) She Xiang (Moschus) Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, soaked in wine) Ru Xiang (Olibanum) Huo Xiang (Pogostemon cablin) Chuan Sheng Ma (Cimicifuga foetida) Lian Qiao (Forsythiae Fructus) (each half tael). Grind into fine powder. Take four qian each time, decoct in one large cup of water until reduced to seven-tenths. Take as desired. It may gently unblock or immediately expel foul matter. Then take Neituo San (Internal-Supporting Powder) to easily dissipate the toxic force and prevent deep harm. Sometimes it dissipates immediately. Taking this medicine early is best.
Dihuang Jian (Rehmannia Decoction Paste): Tonifies deficiency, clears heat, disperses mineral drug toxicity, and treats carbuncles, furuncles, and hemorrhoids.
Use fresh Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae) as needed. Pound and press three times to extract all juice. Boil in a copper vessel over hot water without covering to prevent gas loss. When reduced by half, remove. Strain through cloth to remove coarse, turbid dregs. Re-boil until like maltose syrup. Form into pill-sized balls. Take with wine, three times daily.
Gouqi Jian (Goji Berry Decoction Paste): Treats consumptive fatigue, lightens the body, benefits qi, and treats all carbuncles and ulcers.
Chop thirty jin of Gouqi (Fructus Lycii). Leaves can be used before they fall; stems before leaves fall; roots after leaves fall. Boil in one shi of water to obtain five dou. Remove dregs and sediment. Return dregs to the pot with water, boil again to obtain five dou. Combine both extracts to make one hu. Clarify and remove sediment. Boil in the pot to obtain about two dou. Transfer to a small copper pot and boil until continuous bubbling resembles maltose syrup. Store in porcelain. Double-boiling is better. Take one he and a half every morning, twice daily. Start with one he and gradually increase.
Ersheng San (Two-Saints Powder): Treats back carbuncles and multiple abscesses throughout the body in hidden areas.
Burn dry cow dung to ash, sieve finely. Mix with egg white and apply. Replace when dry.
If pus has already formed and gathered:
Use Gua Lou Gen (Trichosanthis Radix) powder mixed with vinegar for application. Replace when dry. Chi Xiao Dou (Vigna umbellata) is also good. Another method: burn Gua Lou Gen until carbonized, grind into powder, and take with wine.
Niu Jiao Yin (Cow-Hide Gelatin Drink, also named Ming Jiao Jiu): Intercepts dangerous carbuncles and malignant ulcers. Prevents internal invasion of toxins and transformation into malignant conditions.
Use transparent, high-quality Niu Pi Jiao (Colla Corii Asini). Wash clean and dry. Weigh four liang. Place in a bowl of wine and boil over hot water until fully melted. Stir evenly and pour out. Soak again in wine. Drink freely. If capable of drinking alcohol, drink until intoxicated. If not, boil with wine, then soak in plain water, and drink thoroughly. This method has saved many lives. Another method: do not use wine; soak in hot water. Another method: spread on paper and apply according to size.
Guolao Gao (Old Man's Paste, also named Dusheng Tang): Treats all carbuncles and ulcers, reduces swelling, expels toxins. Prophylactic use prevents internal invasion of toxins. Effects are indescribable.
Use Er Jin Fang Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) with large cross-grains, two jin. Crush, soak in river water overnight, knead to extract thick juice. Remove all tendons and dregs. Filter through fine silk. Slowly boil in a silver or earthenware vessel to form a paste. Store in a porcelain jar. Take one or two spoons each time, dissolved in non-ashy wine. Plain water is also acceptable. It can neutralize previously taken drying or mineral drugs. Mild diarrhea is harmless. Take once at bedtime, once at wugeng (3-5 AM). Expelling foul matter indicates efficacy. Another method: use flowing spring water, slowly evaporate over low heat until dry. Grind one liang into coarse powder. Decoct in three bowls of pure wine until two bowls remain. Take on an empty stomach. Invigorates blood and detoxifies.
Yuanzhi Jiu (Polygala Wine): Treats all carbuncles, back abscesses, furuncles, and malignant conditions. If melancholy or anger causes qi stagnation attacking internally, pain is unbearable; taking this induces pain perception (indicating qi flow). If yin-toxic blood stasis is internal, there is no pain; taking this induces pain. If internal heat forces hands away, application brings coolness. If qi deficiency and cold blood cause non-healing ulcers, application promotes healing. For emotional depression regardless of deficiency/excess or cold/heat, it is effective. Yin-toxic stasis causes numbness; application restores sensation.
Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae), amount unspecified. Wash with rice water to remove dirt, pound to remove heart. Grind into fine powder. Mix three qian of powder with one cup of wine. Let settle, then drink. Apply dregs to the affected area. The Han family doctors have used this for generations to save people, with miraculous results.
Another Prescription: Treats back carbuncles and ulcers. Must be taken at the initial stage. Effective regardless of location: eyebrows, jaw, head, neck, back, waist, flanks, female breast abscesses, or limbs.
Use forty-nine slices of Mu Lian (Magnolia officinalis fruit), rub off hairs, grind finely. Dissolve in wine and take warm. Efficacy is comparable to Rendong Cao (Lonicera japonica). Take Rendong Jiu first, then this prescription.
Another Prescription:
Grind one handful of Long Lin Bi Li (Ficus pumila) finely. Dissolve in wine and take warm. Promotes expulsion of foul matter and removes the root cause.
Another Prescription:
Use Hong Nei Xiao (amount unspecified). Place in a porcelain bottle, add water. Boil strongly with alternating fire. Near completion, add good non-ashy wine, equal to the medicinal juice. Boil for dozens of boils, strain. Take frequently. Dry the residue, grind into powder, mix with wine and wheat paste to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills with warm wine on an empty stomach. This is a regular medication for disease resolution due to its mild strength. Best produced in Jiangchang.
Zhuyu San (Cornelian Cherry Powder): Treats unformed carbuncle knots and stagnant qi causing swelling and lump formation.
Lightly stir-fry Zhuyu (Fructus Corni), grind into fine powder. Mix with egg white and apply to the affected area. Miraculous effect. Suitable for mild cases. For severe cases where swelling recurs after subsiding: Another method uses vinegar instead of egg white. Vinegar mixed with garlic or ginger is also effective.
For any carbuncle appearing slightly large, initial back carbuncles, and regardless of age. (Also named Qi Zhen Zheng Fa - Leech Needle Correct Method).
Apply clean mud from beside a well to the top of the sore. Observe for a dry spot on the sore surface; this is the exact center. Place a large brush tube on the center. Put one large leech (Ma Qi) inside. Frequently pour cold water on it. The leech will suck the acupoint. Discharge of pus and blood indicates toxin dispersion and efficacy. If the toxin is large and the leech small, use three or four leeches. Yellow leeches on the abdomen side have stronger power. If the leech sucks the correct point, it will die; revive it with water. The sore heals. Tested repeatedly with great effect. This is one method of toxin removal. If bleeding does not stop, use mud from lotus rhizome to stop it. White cattail flowers are also excellent. Leeches are also called Huang Qi, known as Shui Zhi in Materia Medica. Wu Neihan's Beiji Fang states his nephew Zu Renzhai suddenly felt back sore swelling, which grew larger. He treated it with this method and was relieved by evening.
Treating malignant carbuncles, toxic swellings, red and white wandering rashes.
Grind Wudu Cao Gen (Root of Penthorum chinense) with vinegar and apply to the sore. Also crush stems and leaves for application. To prevent toxin entering the abdomen, decocting and drinking is also effective.
Shengjin Fang (Victorious Gold Formula): Treats back carbuncles, brain abscesses, and hot furuncles/malignant ulcers.
Chop rabbit heads from the twelfth lunar month, seal in a bottle. Longer storage is better. Spread thickly on silk and bandage tightly. For heat and pain, the medicine feels like ice. Change frequently for cure.
Kou Zongshi: Treats erysipelas on the back and all swellings.
Use Yinxing Cao Gen Ye (Root and leaf of Bupleurum?) one part. Decoct in one large cup of wine and drink. It not only expels ingested mineral drugs but also removes toxins and heals sores. If unable to drink wine, mix two qian with fresh well water and take. Take until effective.
Yongju Xuandu Fang (Carbuncle-Toxin-Releasing Formula):
Take black Qian Niu (Semen Pharbitidis) kernels, peel skin. Place in pig kidney, tie with thread, wrap in wet paper. Roast in hot fire ashes until fragrant and cooked. Cool down. Chew and wash down with warm wine.
Another Formula (also named Jinyin San): Treats back carbuncles and all swellings. Unformed ones resolve internally; formed ones rupture easily, reducing pain.
Use Laoweng Xu Cao (Herba Lonicerae Japonicae, also known as Jinyinhua, Rendongcao, Lusi Teng, Shuiyang Teng, Zuochan Teng. Flowers are white with slight fragrance, calyx red, wild climbing herb). Freshly crush flowers and leaves. Mix with warm wine and take. If no flowers, use leaves only. Warm leaves with wine for external application.
Shuhui Gao (Hibiscus Ointment): Treats carbuncle swellings, toxic ulcers.
Mix Huang Shuhui Hua (Flower of Hibiscus mutabilis) with salt. Seal in porcelain. Preserves for years. Apply to affected area. Spontaneously flattens and ulcerates. Fried Shuhui Zi (Seeds) added to detoxifying medicines is especially effective. Another method: Dong Kui Zi (Seeds of Malva verticillata) powder mixed with wine. Another method: roots and leaves without flowers are usable.
Yongquan Gao (Surging Spring Ointment): Treats soft carbuncles with intact heads, or ulcerated heads with swelling but no pus.
Remove head, feet, and wings of Ban Mao (Mylabris), roast into powder. Mix with garlic paste. Size of a mung bean. Place in a plaster patch, align with sore opening. Remove shortly after pus drains. Alternatively, use Lv Fan (Green Vitriol) and Sparrow droppings. Mix with cake medicine paste, apply to soft part of sore head to rupture. Protect surrounding skin with medicine.
Shenshou Xiangfu Tang (God-Given Cyperus Decoction): Treats hard carbuncle knots and painful toxic accumulation.
Pound Xiang Fu (Rhizoma Cyperi Rotundi), remove skin. Soak in ginger juice overnight. Dry and grind. Take one qian and a half with rice water. Or decoct with Zi Su (Perilla leaf) and Gan Cao (Licorice root) and take. Several doses reduce hardness and swelling. Pus drains if present. Use urgently for severe toxic symptoms.
Formula for Carbuncle Swellings:
Harvest Hong Mao Cao (Root and leaf), dry, grind into powder. Mix with cold water and apply.
Treating Carbuncle Heat-Toxin:
Take three sheng of Nuomi (Glutinous Rice), remove non-glutinous grains. Soak in cold water in a ceramic basin for forty-nine days before Dragon Boat Festival. Change water twice daily. Gently rinse, drain, do not crush. Soak until Dragon Boat Day. Remove, dry in shade, store in raw silk bag, hang in ventilated place. Take small amounts as needed, fry until charred black, grind into powder. Mix with cold water to form paste. Wrap around sore according to size. Secure with silk cloth. Do not move until healed. If initial carbuncle/toxic sore shows redness and heat, apply paste immediately. Check next day; swelling and toxin disappear overnight.
Treating Back Carbuncles or Breast Abscesses, initially slightly red:
Mix Huangbai (Phellodendron bark) powder with egg white and apply.
Another Formula:
Boil two pig trotters with Liu Tong (Tetrapanax papyrifer) six fen wrapped in cotton. Eat as soup.
Treating Carbuncles, Fistulas, Malignant Ulcers, and Infantile Erysipelas:
Grind Qicao (Larva of Phyllophaga) into powder and apply.
Meishi Formula: Treats initial back carbuncles. Unformed ones mature; chest/breast abscesses initially red. Untreated, fatal. Rapid Resolution Formula.
Freshly crush Zhuma Ye (Ramie leaf) and apply. Apply day and night to reduce swelling.
Badu Qibao San (Seven-Treasures Detoxifying Powder): Relieves carbuncle pain.
Use dry Lotus Leaf Heart (He Ye Xin), coin-sized pieces, any amount. Grind coarsely. Take three spoons, decoct in two bowls of water over low heat until one and a half bowls remain. Cool, rinse, wipe dry, then apply Taibai Gao.
Shen Yuming's Formula (also named Ermiao San): Relieves carbuncle pain and detoxifies.
He Ye (Lotus Leaf, one tael) Ben (Angelica dahurica? or similar, half tael). Grind into powder. Use as above.
Taibai Gao:
Use Hanshui Shi (Calcitum, water-washed). Mix with December Pig Fat (Zhu Zhi) to form ointment. Spread thinly on paper according to sore size and apply.
Treating Carbuncles with open eyes but no pus, unbearable pain. Using this medicine causes pus drainage.
Take one Badou (Croton seed), remove skin and membrane, keep heart. Mix with fourteen Youyan Chi (Oil-salt fermented soybeans). Chew badou in mouth until soft. Grind together with fermented beans. Add a little Zhen She Xiang (Moschus). If difficult to form pills, add thin paste to make cakes, mouse-dropping shapes, or pills. Insert into sore opening using paper twist. Pain ceases.
Treating Brain Carbuncles, Back Abscesses, Kidney Abscesses, Breast Abscesses, and all swellings in dangerous locations. (Also named Lumu San).
Use Lumu (Tree bark/leaf). People take leaves, crush juice, throw into streams to stun fish. Called Yuming Cao in Jiangxi, Lumu in Shaoxing. In winter, dig roots, chop, and prepare. Take three to four qian per dose. Decoct in one large bowl of non-ashy wine until reduced to seven-tenths. Strain. Take warm on an empty stomach before meals.
For people, old or young, recent or chronic illness, deficiency with excess qi, all swellings anywhere on the body, diverse types, all treatable. Ulcerated ones drain pus spontaneously; unulcerated ones dissipate toxins spontaneously.
Treating Back Carbuncles:
Eat only boiled white radish, unlimited amount, until swelling dissipates. Extremely effective.
Treating Carbuncle Back Abscess:
A patient with kidney abscess had constipation. Burn clean cowhide to ash on charcoal fire, grind extremely fine. Take five qian each time, mixed with rice water. After taking about two liang, foul matter is discharged, swelling subsides, no more pus. Usable for all swellings, unlimited amount, until bowels are clear.
Treating Carbuncles, Hemorrhoids, Malignant Ulcers:
Decoct Tong Pi (Cortex Vernoniae) water and apply.
Treating Back Swellings and Ulcerated/Painful Furuncles:
Use Yehe Jian Gao (Albizia Decoction Paste) to reduce swelling and knit bones/tendons.
Treating Carbuncles/Malignant Ulcers with continuous dark blood discharge:
Take Digupi (Cortex Lycii Radicis) as needed. Wash clean. Scrape off rough outer bark, keep it. Scrape inner white layer. Decoct outer bark with Digupi. Pour over sore to clean pus/blood. Apply inner white layer. Immediate effect. A scholar had a flank abscess lasting a year. Someone burned bone skin and applied it. Initial washing and applying inner layer worked.
Baigao Yao (White Plaster): Treats carbuncles, malignant ulcers, back abscesses, deep bone abscesses.
Remove skin from Bamazi (Ricinus seed), grind to paste. Spread on plaster and apply. Reduces swelling and disperses toxin.
Treating Carbuncle/Furuncle Toxins with no pus drainage:
Boil Furong Hua (Hibiscus flower) in bamboo tube until hot. Suction onto sore hole to extract pus immediately. Alternative: boil Furong Ye (leaf) or use small ladle instead of bamboo tube.
Shexiang San (Musk Powder):
Baifan (Alumen, bright variety, calcined to retain some nature, remove fire toxicity). Grind finely. Add Huang Dan (Minium) until peach-blossom color. Add more Shexiang (Moschus). If pus continues after treatment, sprinkle this powder dry, cover sore opening.
Jiazhu San (Domestic Pig Powder): For breaking suppurative lesions, seal four sides broadly first, otherwise gas escapes upon rupture. For chronic carbuncles, shin ulcers, nameless malignant ulcers unresponsive to hundred medicines, lasting years. Or bone carbuncle (shin ulcer), deep black rot, hard edges, central pus/blood/foul juice, unresponsive to treatment, spreading to healthy flesh, sometimes bone fragments emerge. Wash with Chilongpi Tang (Red Dragon Bark Decoction). Summer: daily wash. Winter: every 3-4 days. For excessive necrotic flesh, apply Bairu San (White Radish Powder) to escharotize, 2-3 times daily. Then long-term application of Jiazhu San leads to cure.
Burn pig manure to ash, sieve through silk. Sprinkle powder into rotten sore until full. When fluid drains, replace. Long-term application cures. If green flesh regenerates, reapply Bairu San as before.
Zifen Mi Fang (Glutinous Rice Flour Formula): Treats back carbuncles and breast abscesses.
Fry Zifen (Glutinous Rice) until black. Mix with egg white. Apply on silk to cover sore. Make small hole in silk to vent toxin. Replace when dry.
Another Formula:
Use Fudi Tu (Pot-bottom earth), crush into powder. Mix with egg yolk for application. Adding fermented beans is better. Mayugu (Garlic in May) and salt are good.
Treating Back Carbuncle Swelling: Hot ones drain pus when ripe; unripe ones dissipate naturally.
Use tender Niubang Gen (Arctii Radix), wash soil, avoid wind. Cut one sheng. Boil in three sheng water until soft. Strain. Re-boil in porcelain vessel over hot water until thick paste. Apply with rotten silk. Change when hot.
Caowutou San (Aconite Powder): Treats toxic swellings/carbuncles. Unformed ones resolve internally; formed ones heal quickly.
Mix Caowutou powder with water. Sweep on swelling with chicken feather. If ulcerated, cover with plaster first to prevent direct contact. Initial application feels cold as ice, pain stops. Historically, someone with severe swelling applied this, skin wrinkled, and gradually subsided.
Shenming Gao (Divine Light Ointment): Treats carbuncles, furuncles, toxic swellings, painless heads or multiple heads,烦热 (restless heat) toxic soft furuncles.
Use Wulingzhi (Trogopterus Dung), any amount, lightly stir-fry, grind. Mix with fresh water. Apply on old crimson silk and stick.
Reducing Carbuncle Swelling:
Mix Bailian (Bellewort Rhizome) two parts, Lilv (Veratrum) one part into powder. Mix with wine to mud. Stick, three times daily. Alternative: mix with vinegar.
Treating Carbuncle/Hemorrhoid Ulcers and Infantile Erysipelas:
Decoct Ji Gen (Acacia Root) juice and wash.
Treating Sheep Carbuncle with worms/itch:
Mix Fuzi (Aconite) eight fen, Lilv (Veratrum) two fen into powder and apply. Worms exit naturally.
Bone protrusion from Carbuncle Ulcer:
Mix Huanglian (Coptis) and Muli (Oyster Shell), each two parts, into powder. Wash with salt wine, then apply. Carbuncles on fingertips with red-black color are hard to treat. Chronic bone carbuncles with persistent discharge: Boil Ming Jiao (Gelatin) and apply. Or apply raw carp meat. After cooking time, scrape to see small worms. Wash and reapply medicine.
