天地者形之大也。阴阳者。气之大也。惟形与气。相资而立。未始偏废。男女媾精。万
物化生。天地阴阳之形气寓焉。语七八之数。七、少阳也。八、少阴也。相感而流通。故女
子二七天癸至。男子二八天癸至。则以阴阳交合而兆始故也。语九十之数。九、老阳也。十、
老阴也。相包而赋形。故阴穷于十。男能围之。阳穷于九。女能方之。则以阴阳相生而成终
故也。元气孕毓。皆始于子。自子推之。男左旋。积岁三十而至巳。女右旋。积岁二十而至

为三阴。寅为三阳。而生育之时着矣。其禀赋也。体有刚柔。脉有强弱。气有多寡。血有盛
衰。皆一定而不易也。以至分野异域。则所产有多寡之宜。吉事有祥。则所梦各应其类。是
故荆杨薄壤多女。雍冀浓壤多男。熊罴为男子之祥。蛇虺为女子之祥。是皆理之可推也。胎
化之法。有所谓转女为男者。亦皆理之自然。如食牡鸡。取阳精之全于天产者。带雄黄。取
阳精之全于地产者。操弓矢。藉斧斤。取刚物之见于人事者。气类潜通。造化密移。必于三
月兆形之先。盖方仪则未具。阳可以胜阴。变女为男。理固然也。
又云。张华博物志曰。妊娠必谨所感。感于善者。生子必善。感于恶者。生子必恶。故
不欲令见恶物、异禽、毒兽。切忌驴马、犬兔、龟鳖、鹅鸭、无鳞鱼、粘腻难消化物。蕈、
姜、乳饼等属。用酱和藿食。损胎难产。惟务简静。动止有节。三个月之后。听诵经典、诗
书、讽咏。静处养心。目不视恶色。耳不听恶声。如此生子。必贤明端正。忠孝寿考也。

转女为男者。盖阳施阴化。所以有娠。遇三阴所会。多生女子。但怀娠二月。名曰始膏。
精气成于胞里。至于三月。谓之始胎。血脉不流。象形而变。是时男女未定。故令于未满三
月间。服药方术转令生男也。（出千金方）以斧置妊娠床下。系刃向下。勿令人知。恐不信
者。
令待鸡抱卵时。根据此置于窝下。一窝尽出雄鸡。神效如此。虽未试。亦不可不知者。一法。
觉三月。尿雄鸡浴处。
凡受胎三月。逐物变化。故古人立胎教。能令生子良善、长寿、忠孝、仁义、聪明、无
疾。盖须十月之内。常见好景象。毋近邪僻。真良教也。如有触忤伤胎。治各有法。

取弓弩弦一枚。缚妇人腰下。满百日去之。一法绛囊盛带妇人左臂。
紫宫玉女秘法 妊娠三月以前。
取雄鸡尾尖上长毛三茎。潜安妇人卧席下。勿令知之。验。

取夫发及手足甲。潜安卧席下。勿令知之。
妊娠才满三月。要男法（出千金方）
以雄黄半两。衣中带之。要女者以雌黄带之。一方绛囊盛带之。
（附论）
天地是形体中最大的存在。阴阳是气中最大的存在。只有形体与气，相互依赖而确立，从未有过偏废的情况。男女交合精气，万物由此化生。天地的阴阳形体与气便蕴含其中。说到七八之数，七属于少阳，八属于少阴，二者相互感应而流通。所以女子十四岁天癸至（指月经来潮），男子十六岁天癸至，这是因为阴阳交合而孕育始端的原因。说到九十之数，九属于老阳，十属于老阴，二者相包容而赋予形体。所以阴数穷尽于十，男子能围之；阳数穷尽于九，女子能方之，这是因为阴阳相生而成终局的原因。元气孕育胎儿，都始于子时（或子位）。从子位推算，男子向左旋转，经过三十岁到达巳位；女子向右旋转，经过二十岁到达巳位。巳位为正阳，阴气实际上顺从它。从巳位怀壬（任脉之气），男子向左旋转，十月后生于寅位；女子向右旋转，十月后生于申位。申位为三阴，寅位为三阳，生育的时机便彰显出来了。其禀赋方面，体质有刚柔之分，脉象有强弱之别，气有多寡之差，血有盛衰之异，这些都是固定而不可改变的。至于地域分野不同，则所生子女有多寡的适宜差异。吉祥之事有征兆，则所做的梦各自对应相应的类别。因此，荆州、扬州土壤贫瘠多生女儿，雍州、冀州土壤肥沃多生儿子。熊罴是生男子的吉兆，蛇虺是生女子的吉兆。这些都是道理可以推知的。胎化之法中，有所谓“转女为男”的方法，也都是自然之理。例如吃公鸡肉，取自然界动物中阳气精全的特性；佩戴雄黄，取大地矿物中阳气精全的特性；持弓矢，借斧斤，取人事物品中刚硬特性的显现。气类暗中相通，造化秘密转移，必须在怀孕三个月胎儿成形之前进行。因为此时胚胎形态尚未具备，阳气可以胜过阴气，将女转为男，道理本是如此。
又说：张华在《博物志》中说，妊娠期间必须谨慎所受的外界感应。感应到善的事物，生下的孩子必然善良；感应到恶的事物，生下的孩子必然恶劣。所以不希望让孕妇看到恶物、异禽、毒兽。切忌接触驴马、犬兔、龟鳖、鹅鸭、无鳞鱼以及粘腻难消化的食物，如菌菇、姜、乳饼等属。如果用酱调和藿香叶食用，会损伤胎气导致难产。只务必保持简静，动静有节制。三个月之后，听诵经典、诗书，讽咏诗歌，静心修养心性，眼睛不看恶色，耳朵不听恶声。这样生下的孩子，必定贤明端正，忠孝长寿。
方剂
丹参丸（出自《千金方》）治疗妇人刚开始觉得怀孕，养胎，并转女为男。
丹参、续断、芍药、白胶（阿胶）、白术、柏子仁、甘草（各二两）；人参、川芎、干姜（各三两）；吴茱萸、橘皮、当归（各十八铢）；白芷、冠缨（烧成灰，各一两）；干地黄（一两半）；芜荑（十八铢）；犬卵（一个，干燥）；东门上雄鸡头（一个）。以上药物研为细末，用蜂蜜和丸，如梧桐子大小。酒送服十丸，每日两次。
又一方（出自《千金方》）
用原蚕屎一枚，以井花水（清晨第一次汲取的井水）送服，每日三次服用。
所谓转女为男，是因为阳施阴化，所以才有妊娠。遇到三阴汇聚之时，多生女孩。但怀孕两个月，名叫“始膏”，精气在胞宫内部形成。到了三个月，叫做“始胎”，血脉不再流动，依循形象而变化。这时男女性别尚未确定，所以在未满三个月期间，服药施术使其生男孩。（出自《千金方》）将斧头放在孕妇床下，使刀刃向下，不要让人知道。如果怀疑不信的人，可以等到母鸡抱卵时，按照这个方法放在窝下，一窝孵出的全是公鸡。神效如此，虽然未亲自尝试，也不可不知道。另一种方法：感觉怀孕三个月时，去排泄公鸡洗澡过的地方尿液。
凡是受孕三个月，随外界事物而变化，所以古人设立胎教，能使孩子善良、长寿、忠孝、仁义、聪明、无疾病。必须在十月之内，常见美好景象，不接近邪僻之物，这才是真正的良好教育。如果有触犯伤害胎气，治疗各有方法。
又一种方法，自从刚开始觉得怀孕（出自《千金方》）

Heaven and Earth are the largest forms. Yin and Yang are the greatest energies. Only form and energy rely on each other to establish existence, never being neglected or biased. When male and female unite their essence, all things are transformed and born. The form and energy of Heaven and Yin and Yang are embedded therein. Regarding the numbers seven and eight: seven belongs to Shaoyang (Lesser Yang), and eight belongs to Shaoyin (Lesser Yin); they interact and flow. Therefore, when a girl is fourteen years old, Tian Gui (menstruation) arrives; when a boy is sixteen years old, Tian Gui arrives. This is because the beginning of conception arises from the union of Yin and Yang. Regarding the numbers nine and ten: nine belongs to Laoyang (Old Yang), and ten belongs to Laoyin (Old Yin); they encompass and give form. Thus, Yin reaches its limit at ten, which men can encircle; Yang reaches its limit at nine, which women can square. This is because the end is achieved through the mutual generation of Yin and Yang. The primordial Qi that nurtures the fetus begins at Zi (the first earthly branch). Counting from Zi, men rotate leftward, accumulating thirty years to reach Si; women rotate rightward, accumulating twenty years to reach Si. Si represents Zhengyang (True Yang), and Yin actually follows it. From Si conceiving Ren (Ren Meridian Qi), men rotate leftward and are born in Yin after ten months; women rotate rightward and are born in Shen after ten months. Shen represents Sanyin (Three Yin), and Yin represents Sanyang (Three Yang), thus revealing the timing of fertility. Regarding endowment, bodies have rigidity and softness, pulses have strength and weakness, Qi has abundance and scarcity, and Blood has flourishing and decline; these are fixed and unchangeable. As for different regions, the appropriate number of offspring varies. Auspicious events have omens, and dreams correspond to their respective categories. Therefore, Jing and Yang provinces with thin soil produce more daughters, while Yong and Ji provinces with rich soil produce more sons. Bears and tigers are auspicious omens for bearing sons, while snakes and vipers are auspicious omens for bearing daughters. These are principles that can be deduced. In the methods of fetal transformation, there is what is called "turning a female fetus into a male," which is also a natural principle. For example, eating rooster meat takes the complete yang essence from animal products; wearing Realgar takes the complete yang essence from mineral products; holding bows and arrows, relying on axes and hatchets, takes the visible rigid properties from human affairs. Energies of similar categories secretly connect, and creation secretly shifts. It must be done before the fetus takes shape at three months. At this time, the embryo's form is not yet established, so Yang can overcome Yin, turning a female into a male; this is indeed the principle.
It is also said: Zhang Hua stated in *Bowuzhi* (Records of Things Known): During pregnancy, one must be cautious about external influences. Influenced by good things, the child will surely be good; influenced by bad things, the child will surely be bad. Therefore, pregnant women should not see evil objects, strange birds, or poisonous beasts. One must strictly avoid donkeys, horses, dogs, rabbits, turtles, turtles, geese, ducks, scaleless fish, and sticky, hard-to-digest foods such as mushrooms, ginger, and milk cakes. If sauce mixed with huoxiang leaves is eaten, it damages the fetus and causes difficult labor. One should strive for simplicity and tranquility, regulating movement and rest. After three months, listen to classics and poetry, chant verses, cultivate the mind in quietude, do not look at ugly sights, and do not listen to ugly sounds. A child born under such conditions will surely be virtuous, upright, loyal, filial, and long-lived.
Prescriptions
Danshen Wan (from *Qianjin Fang*) treats women who just feel pregnant, nourishes the fetus, and turns a female fetus into a male.
Danshen Radix, Xuduan Dipsaci Herba, Shaoyao Paeoniae Radix, Baijiao Colla Asini (Ejiao), Baizhu Atractylodis Rhizoma, Baiziren Semen Platycladi, Gancao Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (each 2 liang); Renshen Ginseng Radix, Xiong Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Jianggan Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (each 3 liang); Wuzhuyu Evodiae Fructus, Juqi Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Danggui Angelicae Sinensis Radix (each 18 zhu); Baizhi Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Guanying Crown Tassel (burned to ash, each 1 liang); Dihuang Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (1.5 liang); Wuyi Meliae Fructus (18 zhu); Quan Canine Testis (one, dried); Dongmen Shang Xiongjitou Rooster Head from East Gate (one). Grind the above into powder, mix with honey, and make pills the size of wutong seeds. Take ten pills with wine, twice a day.
Another Prescription (from *Qianjin Fang*)
Use one piece of Yuancanshi (excrement of the original silkworm), taken with Jinghuashui (well water drawn at dawn), three times a day.
The so-called "turning a female fetus into a male" occurs because Yang acts and Yin transforms, leading to pregnancy. When meeting the convergence of Three Yin, girls are often born. However, at two months of pregnancy, it is called "Shigao" (Beginning Paste), where essence and qi form in the uterus. By three months, it is called "Shitai" (Beginning Fetus), where blood vessels cease flowing, and changes occur according to form. At this time, the gender is not yet determined, hence medication and techniques are applied before the third month to ensure the birth of a boy. (From *Qianjin Fang*) Place an axe under the pregnant woman's bed, with the blade facing down, without letting others know. For those who doubt, when hens sit on eggs, place it under the nest according to this method, and the entire brood will hatch as roosters. Such is the divine efficacy. Although not personally tested, it is something one must know. Another method: Upon feeling three months of pregnancy, urinate at the place where a rooster bathes.
Generally, during the first three months of conception, the fetus changes according to external objects. Therefore, ancients established prenatal education to ensure children are kind, long-lived, loyal, filial, benevolent, righteous, intelligent, and disease-free. Within the ten months, one must frequently see beautiful scenes and avoid evil influences; this is truly good education. If there is trauma damaging the fetus, treatment varies by case.
Another method, since initially feeling pregnant (from *Qianjin Fang*):
Take one bowstring, tie it below the woman's waist, remove it after one hundred days. Another method: Put a belt in a crimson bag and tie it to the woman's left arm.
Zigong Yünu Secret Method Before three months of pregnancy:
Take three long feathers from the tip of a rooster's tail, secretly place them under the woman's sleeping mat, without her knowing. Effective.
Another method:
Take the husband's hair and fingernails/toenails, secretly place them under the sleeping mat, without her knowing.
Method to Request a Boy Just After Three Months of Pregnancy (from *Qianjin Fang*):
Carry half a liang of Xionghuang Realgar. To request a girl, carry Cihuang Orpiment. Another method: Carry it in a crimson bag.
