用拣细粒乌豆四升。以醋浆水四升。煮汁去却豆。以好灰汁。净洗发待干。以豆汁热涂

用酸石榴。五月内。于东南枝上。拣平坐不侧而大者一枚。于顶上筋札眼子。深一寸余。
用水银半两。灌于眼子内。不得封闭。从风日雨露。至十月叶落尽时取下。壳内尽成水。每
用时以鱼胞裹指头。点药捻之。
疗发黄。
用熊脂涂发梳之。散头入床底。一食顷即出。便尽黑。不过一升脂验。
治年衰发白。
用桑叶丫枝。名鸡桑最堪入用。椹利五脏关节。通血气。久服不饥。多收曝干捣末。蜜
和为丸。每日服六十丸。变白不老。一方、取黑椹水渍之。频沐发即黑。
备急拔白毛令黑毛生方。
用拔去白毛后。随即以好白蜜敷拔处。即生黑毛。眉中无毛。以针挑伤敷蜜。亦生眉毛
也。

治鬓黄。
剪爪甲搔令毛孔中血出。以蜜涂之。即生黑毛。
令发不生。
足少阴肾经气血充盛，胡须就润泽而黑。足太阳膀胱经气血充盛，头发就润泽而黑。这两条经络的气血虚衰，胡须和头发就会变成黄色或白色。然而想要恢复其润泽，重现青黑色，虽然有涂抹染色的方法，但还不如服用补益气血的方剂作为日常调理。因为气血调和适宜，滋润的功效就会显现于外，这比起涂抹染色的功效要远胜得多。
方剂：
驻颜苣丸（出自《太平圣惠方》），治疗头发变白使其转黑，补益鬓角和容颜。
苣荬菜子（二斤） 杏仁（四两，用汤浸泡后去皮尖，选用双仁者，面粉炒至微黄） 陈皮（一两，用汤浸泡后去白瓤，焙干）
细辛（一两） 附子（一两，炮制裂开，去皮脐） 旋覆花（一两） 覆盆子（二两） 青葙子（二两）
秦椒皮（一两，捣碎）
将上述药物捣筛为细末，搅拌并捣杵七百至一千次，制成梧桐子大小的丸药。每天空腹服用，用陈皮汤送下三十丸，晚饭后前再服一次。忌食生葱、萝卜、大蒜等。
治疗拔除白发使其转黑。（出自《德生堂方》）

每次服用三钱，用水煎服或调服。

摩顶黑发方（出自《太平圣惠方》），治疗头发发黄，浸油使用。

川椒丸（出自《太平圣惠方》），治疗脑血虚，头发早白，宜服用。补益使头发变黑。

生地黄（肥者锉五斤） 五加皮 牛膝（酒浸焙各五两） 上先将地黄，入净瓶中，以酒五升，浸一宿，取出曝干，入甑九蒸九曝后，同后二味，捣罗为末，炼蜜丸，如梧桐子大。每服二十丸，空心温酒下。一方捣细罗为散，每日空心以温酒调下二钱。若于羹粥中吃亦得。此药能化白令黑，添益筋力，忌生葱、萝卜、大蒜等。

用菊，以三月上寅日采，名曰玉英。六月上寅日采，名曰容成。九月上寅日采，名曰金精。十二月上寅日采，名曰长生者，根茎也。阴干百日，各取等分，以成日合捣千杵，下筛和以蜜，丸如梧桐子大。三服七丸，百日身体润，一年白发变黑，二年齿落复生，三年八十者变童儿。
必效染白发方（出十便良方）
用拣细粒乌豆四升，以醋浆水四升，煮汁去却豆，以好灰汁，净洗发待干，以豆汁热涂之，以油帛裹之，经宿开之，待干，即以熊脂涂揩，还以油帛裹，即黑如漆。一涂三年不变。
染白发方
用黑桑椹一升，蝌蚪子即虾蟆子，瓶盛密封，悬东屋角，百日尽化为黑泥，染须发如漆。
又
栝蒌散 治须黄白揩牙。
取栝蒌实一枚，开顶作盖子，取瓤并子，用青盐一两细研，杏仁去皮尖三七粒，同栝蒌瓤。早包裹于湿纸上，浓一指许，用酒圆匀不破纸绽，于日中晒干，用热炭二斤，四边上下煅之，火多则恐曝裂，徐徐添火，候泥球通红，有青烟焰出，即药成，去火，扫净地尺许，置泥球其上，以新瓦盆盖，食顷，系去泥皮，取药细研。晨起、日中、临睡，以指蘸药擦牙，令极热，即取效速，仍不辍用之。百日髭鬓可致如黑，先有白者摘去，以余药搽于鬓间，后来发不生白矣。其治口齿之功，未易具陈。
变白令黑方
生干地黄 覆盆子（以上各一斤） 地骨皮（一斤） 上为末，炼蜜和捣三五百杵，丸如梧桐子大。每服以温酒下四十丸，食前服，忌生葱、大蒜、萝卜等。

八角附子（一枚） 大酢（半升） 上以铜器中煎两沸，纳好矾石，大如棋子许一枚，消尽，纳香脂三两，和令相得，搅至凝，内竹筒内，拔白发，以膏涂拔根，即生黑发也。

生柏叶（切一升） 猪膏（一斤） 上捣柏叶为末，以猪膏和为二十丸，用布裹一丸，纳泔汁中化破沐之，日一用，一月后渐黑光润。

Fresh Ginger (0.5 jin), Raw Rehmannia (1 jin, wash clean, grind to extract natural juice, keep dregs). Use ten non-decaying soapberry pods, remove black skin and veins. Dip previous medicine juice into soapberry, slow-fire roast until yellow, until juice is exhausted. Put previous dregs into jar, fire... retain nature, make into powder, store in iron vessel. Take 3 qian medicine powder, mix with water, let stand for three days. Before sleep, dip medicine into whiskers/temples, they turn black.
Fu Ju Zengnian Bian Bai Fang (Chrysanthemum Consumption for Longevity and Turning White Hair)
Use chrysanthemum. Pick on Yin day of third lunar month, named Yu Ying; pick on Yin day of sixth lunar month, named Rongcheng; pick on Yin day of ninth lunar month, named Jing Jing; pick on Yin day of twelfth lunar month, named Changsheng, which is root and stem. Dry in shade for 100 days. Take equal parts, pound 1,000 times on Cheng day, sieve, mix with honey, form pills the size of Chinese honeylocust seeds. Take 7 pills per dose, three doses. Body becomes moist in 100 days, white hair turns black in one year, fallen teeth regrow in two years, eighty-year-olds become like children in three years.
Bixiao Ran Bai Fa Fang (Must-Effective White Hair Dye Formula) [from *Shibian Liangfang*].
Select fine-grained black beans 4 sheng, boil in four sheng of sour grain water, remove beans. Wash hair cleanly with good ash water, wait until dry. Take one Trichosanthes fruit, open top as lid, take pulp and seeds. Grind 1 liang blue salt finely, 7–31 Apricot Kernels (skin and pointed end removed), mix with Trichosanthes pulp... early... Dried Raw Rehmannia Root, Raspberry (each 1 jin above), Lycium Bark (1 jin). Make into powder, mix with refined honey and pound 300–500 times, form pills the size of Chinese honeylocust seeds. Take 40 pills with warm wine before meals. Avoid raw green onions, garlic, radishes, etc.
Bai Fa Linghei Fang (White Hair to Black Formula)
Eight-cornered Aconite (one piece), Strong Vinegar (half sheng). Boil twice in copper vessel, add good Alum stone, size like chess piece, dissolve completely. Add 3 liang fragrant balm, mix well, stir until solidified, put in bamboo tube. Pluck white hair, apply paste to plucked root, black hair will grow.

Suanliu Jiang Fang (Sour Pomegranate Juice Formula): Treatment for yellow/white whiskers, returning to black.
Use sour pomegranate. In fifth lunar month, select one large, flat-growing, non-leaning fruit from southeast branch. Make a hole one inch deep on top. Pour half liang mercury into hole, do not seal. Expose to wind, sun, rain, dew. When leaves fall in tenth lunar month, harvest. Inside shell becomes water. When using, wrap finger tip with fish bladder, dip in medicine, twist.
Liao Fa Huang (Treatment for Yellow Hair).
Apply bear fat to hair, comb. Scatter hair under bed, wait one meal time, come out, all turns black. One sheng of fat is verified effective.

Use mulberry leaf branches, named Ji Sang is most suitable. Mulberries benefit five zang organs and joints, unblock blood and qi. Long-term use prevents hunger.
