朱砂（水
珠（一钱半研）
足阳明胃经循行经过颊车穴。手太阳小肠经循行经过颈部上行至面颊。这两条经脉如果同时受到风寒邪气的侵袭，会导致筋脉拘急牵引面颊，引起口眼歪斜，说话言语不清。
消风丸：治疗风邪牵引导致的面部及口角歪斜，言语不正。
配方：草乌头（半斤，用四两油炒至黄色）、麻黄（去除根和节，先煎煮撇去浮沫，焙干）、白芷、附子（炮制后去掉芦头）、青橘皮（去掉瓤和皮，酥炙至焦黄）、丁香、木香、白附子（各半两）。以上药材研成细末。
骗马丹（出自《瑞竹堂经验方》）：治疗男女性中风，口眼歪斜，痰涎壅盛，语言謇涩，手足麻木不仁，筋脉拘挛抽搐，肢体无法抬起。或者寒湿相互搏结，肌肉顽固麻木，病邪传入经络，导致筋骨疼痛，腰脚浮肿，难以屈伸。或者是寒湿引起的脚气病，或者是跌打损伤，导致筋骨关节错位脱臼，皮肤瘙痒，风毒疮疡。这些情况都适宜服用此药。
配方：真川乌（炮制二两）、川芎（七钱）、真苏木、地龙（去除泥土，各半两）、白芷、草乌头（炮制）、续断（浸泡后不去油）、虎胫骨（用两碗红好醋制净至黄色）。制成如梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用五十丸，饭后用温酒送服。
赤箭散：治疗中风，口眼歪斜，言语不正，眼睛不能平视。
配方：赤箭（半两）、黄柏（锉碎一两）、补骨脂（炒）、牛膝（去除苗，酒浸一夜，焙干）、骨碎补、芍药、细辛、鳖甲（去壳）、白花蛇（去鳞皮脐一分）、羌活（去芦头一两）。不拘时候服用。
乌蛇丸：治疗中风，口面歪斜，言语不正。
配方：乌蛇（酒浸，去皮骨，炙）、乌头（炮裂，去皮脐）、五灵脂、羌活（去芦，各半两）、虎骨（酥炙半两）、天南星（炮裂，汤洗）、白附子（炮裂，汤洗三枚）、黑豆（二十一粒，洗净与乌头同捣烂炒）、上药为末，加入牛黄、麝香、雄黄末拌匀。逐渐加量至十丸，空腹、午时、夜卧各服一丸。
乌药顺气散：治疗男女性，口眼歪斜，四肢软弱疼痛，以及一切风湿疼痛的疾病，都予以治疗。
配方：半夏（一两）、川芎（半两）、黄芩、枳壳、麻黄、白茯苓、人参、枳实（各半两）、官桂（三钱）、苍术（半两，米泔水浸）、生姜、大枣二枚。煎至八分。
麻黄汤：治疗中风，口眼歪斜。
配方：麻黄（去除根节，汤掠去沫焙干）、萆薢、附子（炮裂，去皮脐，各二两）、黄连（去须）、当归（切，焙）、桂枝、牡丹皮、羌活（各半两）、杏仁（炒十四枚）。以上药材锉如麻豆大小。每次服用五钱匕，用水一盏半，加入生姜半分，切碎，煎至八分，去渣，温服。
换骨丹（出自《瑞竹堂经验方》）：治疗突然中风，口眼歪斜，左瘫右痪，半身不遂，不能说话，以及一切风痫暗风。
配方：槐角子、桑白皮（去赤皮）、仙术、威灵仙、人参、川芎、何首乌、蔓荆子、防风（各二两）、麻黄（去根节）。每服一丸，用生蜜水送服。便于暖处，盖被汗出即止。
不换金丹：治疗口眼歪斜。
配方：荆芥穗、白僵蚕（炒）、天麻、甘草（炙）、防风（各一两）、川乌头（生用）、白附子（生用）、羌活、薄荷（三两）。以上为细末。涂于右腮上，面部即可端正。
独活散：治疗中风口面歪斜，手足不遂，风入脏腑，昏闷不语，腰背像要散开一样，难以俯仰，骨痹冷痛。
配方：独活、羌活、赤茯苓、附子（炮裂，去皮脐）、白僵蚕（微炒）、天麻、麻黄（去根节）、干蝎（微炒）。以薄荷汤送服。
天麻丸：治疗中风口眼歪斜，言语不正。
配方：天麻、川芎、白僵蚕（微炒）、白附子（炮裂）、天南星（炮裂，各一两）、防风（去芦头三分）、羚羊角屑、麻黄（去根节）。不拘时候，以温酒送下十丸。
驱风散：治疗口眼歪斜。
配方：人参（去苗）、官桂（去皮）、麻黄（去根节）、川乌（炮，去皮脐，各半两）、甘草（炙）、防风（去苗）。用水一盏，煎至四钱。
防风散：治疗中风，口面歪斜，手足不遂，风入于脏，则言语不能转动，心神昏闷。

茵芋散：治疗偏风，口眼不正，言语謇涩，四肢拘急。
配方：茵芋、独活（各一两半）、当归（锉，微炒）、枳壳（麸炒微黄，去瓤）、荆芥、天麻、羚羊角屑（各一两）。姜半分，煎至。
酸枣仁散：治疗中风，口面歪斜，痰毒头疼。
配方：酸枣仁（微炒）、羚羊角屑、丹参、防风（去芦头）、汉防己、甘菊花、麻黄（去根节）、羌活。
搜风顺气丸：治疗风湿气，口眼歪斜，大便结涩。
配方：人参（一两半）、麻子仁、柏子仁、大黄（各一两）、皂角（不去皮，用二两）、黑牵牛（末，一两）。制成丸，温酒送下。
治口眼耳歪斜方。
配方：防风、附子、葛根（各二两）、柏实、麻黄（各二两）、独活、生姜（各四两）、杏仁（三十枚）。
葛根汤：治疗中风，口面歪斜。
配方：葛根、防风（去叉）、附子（炮裂，去皮脐）、麻黄（去根节，先煎掠去沫，焙干，各二两）、独活（去芦头二两）、松实（去壳一两半）、杏仁（汤浸，去皮尖双仁炒，四十枚）。以上锉如麻豆大。每服药二钱匕，以水二盏，酒一盏，入生姜三片，煎取一盏半，去渣，分三服，日二夜一。
天南星丸：治疗中风，手足不遂，筋脉挛急，行履艰难，口眼歪斜，时发搐搦。
配方：天南星（炮）、天麻、附子（炮裂，去皮脐）、干蝎（全者，去毒炒）、藿香叶、白僵蚕（直者，炒）、白附子等。荷温酒下，空心服。
天麻散：治疗中风，倒卧不识人，及口面歪斜。
配方：天麻、麒麟竭、白僵蚕（微炒）、干蝎（微炒）、防风（去芦头）、犀角屑（各一两）、麝香（细研）。
升麻汤：治疗中风，口眼歪斜。
配方：升麻、防风（去叉）、麻黄（去根节，掠去沫，焙干，各一两）、川芎、羚羊角屑（镑，各一两半）、桂心。合煎三沸。出，避外风。
天雄散：治疗中风，口面牵引，眼睛不合，又令耳有风声而聋，面骨冷疼，风眩头疼。
配方：天雄（炮裂，去皮脐）、细辛（去苗叶，微炒，各一两半）、山茱萸（二两半）、干姜（炮二两半）、山芋等。再服。
匀气散：治疗中风口眼歪斜。
配方：乌药（一两）、白术（四两）、旱莲草、甘草（炙）、青皮（去瓤）、沉香（各五钱）。以上咀，水一升，空心服。忌动风物。
防风汤：治疗中风挟暑，卒然晕倒，面色青黑，四肢缓弱，喜呻吟欠伸，口眼歪斜，四肢不仁，好笑。
配方：防风（去叉）、泽泻、桂心、杏仁（麸炒，去皮尖）、干姜（炮）、甘草（炙，各等分，锉散）。上每服四钱。
追风丸：治疗中风口眼歪斜。
配方：磁石（醋淬十遍，秤一分，研）、石硫黄（研一钱）、蓖麻子（十五枚，去皮研）、干莴苣根（三钱）。左安右手。
白圣散：治疗中风口面歪斜。
配方：天雄（炮裂，去皮脐）、山茱萸（炒过候冷，各二两）、山芋（三两）、干姜（炮一分）。上为散。每服。
乌姜丸：治疗诸中风，口眼歪斜。
配方：川乌、草乌、干姜、良姜（各一两）。上切碎，以好醋一碗，煮醋尽，细切，慢慢炒干为细末。
人参丸：治疗中风，口眼歪斜，手足无事，语不謇涩。只缘坐卧处对耳有窍，为风所中，筋牵引。

配方：伏龙肝、牡蛎（烧）、附子（炮裂，去皮脐，取中心者用，各等分）。上为散，用三岁乌鸡冠血，调半钱。当即便正。
加白附子方：治风入脏，使人喑哑卒死，口眼相引，牙车急，舌不转歪斜者。

配方：乌头（生用）、青矾（各半两）。上为细散，每用一字搐入鼻中，取出涕吐涎。
蒜涂方：治疗口眼歪斜。
用橡斗盛蒜泥，涂合骨穴，左歪左贴，右歪右贴，扯正即止之。
锻石膏（出自《仁存方》）：治疗中风口眼歪斜。
用锻石一合，醋炒如泥，斜向右涂左，向左涂右，立正即洗去。一方水和。
又方（出自《圣惠方》）
用栝蒌擂烂绞取汁，和大枣面搜作饼，炙令热熨，如正便止，不令太过。
治一切风，口眼偏斜。（一名假苏丸）
用青荆芥一斤，青薄荷一斤，一处砂盆内研，生绢绞去滓用汁，于瓷器内，慢火同煎成膏。丸，日进三服，忌动风物，温酒下。
萆麻膏：治疗口眼歪斜不正。
大萆麻子（一十四枚，正东南枝上取七枚，正西枝上取七枚）、巴豆（七枚，去皮）。上为泥成膏子后，上碗坐。香。
又方（出自《圣惠方》）
鳖甲、乌头（各一两，生用）。上为末，以醋调涂，如正便拭去。一方无醋。
治口眼歪斜。
用大豆面三斤，炒令焦，酒三升，淋取汁顿服，一日一服。一用黑豆面。
治中风口偏不正。
以生鹿肉生艽，同捣敷之，专看正即速除之。治偏风，左患右贴，右患左贴。
松叶酒（出自《千金方》）：治疗中风，口面歪斜，亦治三年中风不较者。
用青松叶一斤，细锉，捣如大豆木，石臼中捣令汁出，用生绢袋贮，以清酒一斗，浸二宿，近火煖一宿。初服半斤，渐加至一斤，头面汗出即止。或无酒，只用水浸亦可。
油麻酒：治疗中风口面歪斜。
用胡麻炒捣，粗罗一斤，生绢袋贮，取酒一斗五升，浸七日后，每服三合，稍稍服之，加至。
蚕砂浸酒：治疗中风口面歪斜，口角流涎。
用蚕砂微炒，捣碎五升，以生绢囊贮，取酒一斗五升，浸经七日饮之，三合至五合，令常有。
治中风，口面歪斜不正。
用雄鸡血煎热涂之，正则止。或新取者血，使涂之亦佳。涂缓处一边为良。
蜘蛛摩方（出自《圣惠方》）：治中风口眼歪斜。
用蜘蛛大者一枚，摩其偏缓颊车上，及耳前，候视正则止。亦可向火摩之，或取蜘蛛大网丝。
白鱼膏：治疗中风口面歪斜。
用衣中白鱼七枚，摩偏缓一边，才正便止，恐太过。凡患急边缓边皆有病，先摩缓边，次摩。
治偏风口面歪斜，一切热毒风攻头面。
用芭蕉根，不以多少，于甑内蒸两次久，取出烂研，绞取自然汁，每日饭后，取二合，生蜜。
治卒中风，口眼不正，及手臂不仁。
取空青末，如豆大一枚，含之即愈，咽之亦可。
皂角膏（出自《千金方》）：治疗中风，口眼不正，语则牵急四肢，如余无他苦，此由居处不便，因卧。
用大皂角五两，去皮子下筛，以三年米酢和，左歪涂右，右歪涂左，干更涂之。
治中风口眼歪斜，及治风头旋脑转。（出自《圣惠方》）
用树东南枝上蝉壳，七月七日收，不以多少，细研如粉，入寒食面，用醋调为糊，如左涂。
治患风牵引眼目，及口角歪斜。（出自《危氏方》）
用鳝鱼一条，以针刺头上血，左斜涂右，右斜涂左，以平正即洗去鳝。
御风膏（一名萆麻膏，出自《圣惠方》）：治疗口眼歪斜，由中风传入阳明经也。
用东西枝上萆麻子七粒，去壳研碎，涂在手心中，以一盂子，置在手心萆麻子上，上用熟水置左右得所。
枳壳方（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗中风，口僻眼急。
以枳壳刮取上青为末，欲至瓤上者，得茹五升，微火灼去湿气，以酒三升渍，微火暖令得药。
治中风口眼歪斜。（出自《圣惠方》）
用巴豆七枚，去皮烂捣，左歪涂右手心，右歪涂左手心，仍以暖水一盏，安向手心，须臾便正。
桂心方（出自《千金方》）：治疗中风，面目相引偏僻，牙车急，舌不可转。
积年痰饮渐成风，口眼歪斜语不通，苏合姜汁调半盏，青州丸子有神功。年久痰饮停滞胸膈，忽然痰涎壅盛，手足顽麻，口眼歪斜，语言不正，急用麝香苏合香丸三粒，生姜汁调开，送下青州白丸子五粒。如不能吞，将白丸子研细，灌下为妙。
口眼歪斜是中风，筋疼烦热遍身中，急煎五匙加芍药，苏合香丸速有功（出自《温氏隐居方》）。
风煎作三次，调苏合香丸三丸服，留滓再煎。
治风蒸手足疼痛，口眼歪斜，大腑秘热，痰涎满口。（出自《护命方》）
秦艽（去沙半两）、川芎（半两）、天南星（炮半两）、当归（半两）、荆芥穗（半两）、麝香（三分）。末，每服一钱半，食。
续命丹（出自《卫生宝鉴》）：治疗男子妇人卒中诸风，口眼歪斜，言语謇涩，牙关紧急，咳嗽吐逆。
川芎、羌活、天南星（姜制）、川乌头（炮，去皮脐）、肉桂、白藓皮、当归、防风、朱砂、海桐皮、黄芩（各二钱）。为末，麻黄酒葱汁下，不拘时候。
犀角防风汤（出自《卫生宝鉴》）：治疗一切诸风，口眼歪斜，手足曳，语言謇涩，四肢麻木，并。
犀角、防风（各一两）、荆芥、连翘、黄芩、当归、桔梗、薄荷、全蝎（炒，各半两）、麻黄（七两半）、独活（一两半）。服五钱，水二盏，入生。则全去大黄服之。
至圣保命金丹（出自《卫生宝鉴》）：治疗中风口眼歪斜，手足曳，言语謇涩，四肢难举，精神昏。
生地黄（七钱）、大黄（半两，锦纹者佳）、蒲黄、薄荷（去土）、牛黄（研）、龙脑（研）、朱砂（水飞）、金箔（一钱半，研）。
The Foot-Yangming meridian (Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming) runs through the Jiache acupoint (ST6). The Hand-Taiyang meridian (Small Intestine Meridian of Hand-Taiyang) runs along the neck and ascends to the cheek. If these two meridians are simultaneously affected by wind-cold pathogenic factors, it leads to tendon tension pulling on the cheek, causing deviation of the mouth and eye (facial paralysis), and slurred speech.
Xiaofeng Wan (Wind-Expelling Pill): Treats facial and oral deviation caused by wind-pathogen traction, and abnormal speech.
Ingredients: Caowutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Rhizoma, 8 liang, stir-fried with 4 liang of oil until yellow); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes, decoct first, skim foam, dry-roast); Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, processed, remove rhizome base); Qingjupi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride, remove pith and peel, roast with butter until scorched yellow); Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos); Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix); Baifuzi (Typhonii Rhizoma, each 0.5 liang). Grind all ingredients into a fine powder.
Pianma Dan (Horse-Cautioning Pill) (from *Ruizhutang Jingyan Fang*): Treats stroke in men and women, characterized by deviation of the mouth and eye, copious phlegm-saliva, slurred speech, numbness and insensitivity of the hands and feet, tendon and vessel spasms and convulsions, inability to lift limbs. It also treats conditions where cold-dampness combats, causing stubborn muscle numbness; pathogenic factors entering the collaterals causing bone and joint pain, swelling of the waist and feet, and difficulty in flexion and extension; or gout caused by cold-dampness; or traumatic injuries causing dislocation of bones and joints, skin itching, and wind-toxic sores. This formula is suitable for all such conditions.
Ingredients: Zhen Chuanwu (Kusnezoff Monkshood Root, processed, 2 liang); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 7 qian); Zhen Sumu (Sappanwood); Dilong (Pheretima, cleaned of soil, 0.5 liang each); Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix); Caowutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Rhizoma, processed); Xuduan (Dipsaci Radix, soaked, oil not removed); Hu Jinggu (Panther Bone, processed with red vinegar until yellow). Form pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, after meals, with warm wine.
Chijian San (Rhododendron Powder): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and eye, abnormal speech, and inability to gaze straight ahead.
Ingredients: Chijian (Rhododendri Mollis Flos, 0.5 liang); Huangbo (Phellodendri Cortex, sliced, 1 liang); Buguzhi (Psoraleae Fructus, stir-fried); Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, remove sprouts, soak in wine overnight, dry-roast); Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma); Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix); Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma); Biezi (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, remove shell); Baihua She (Bungarus multicinctus, remove scales, skin, and navel, 1 fen); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, remove rhizome base, 1 liang). Take at any time.
Wushe Wan (Black Snake Pill): Treats stroke, deviation of the face and mouth, and abnormal speech.
Ingredients: Wushe (Bungarus multicinctus, soaked in wine, remove skin and bones, roast); Wutou (Aconiti Radix, cracked by processing, remove skin and navel); Wulingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, remove rhizome base, 0.5 liang each); Hugu (Panther Bone, roast with butter, 0.5 liang); Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, cracked by processing, washed in water); Baifuzi (Typhonii Rhizoma, cracked by processing, washed in water, 3 pieces); Heidou (Glycines Sojae Semen Nigrum, 21 grains, wash and pound together with Wutou until paste-like, stir-fry). Grind into powder, mix in Niuhuang (Bovis Calculus), Shexiang (Moschus), and Xionghuang (Realgar) powders. Gradually increase dosage to 10 pills. Take one pill each when fasting, at noon, and before sleep.
Wuyao Shunqi San (Aucklandia Qi-Smooth Powder): Treats men and women with deviation of the mouth and eye, weakness and pain in the four limbs, and all diseases of wind-dampness pain.
Ingredients: Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, 1 liang); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 0.5 liang); Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix); Zhike (Aurantii Fructus); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba); Baifuling (Poria, 0.5 liang each); Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma); Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus); Guanzi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 3 qian); Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, soaked in rice wash water); Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens); Dazao (Jujubae Fructus, 2 pieces). Decoct to 80% volume.
Mahuang Tang (Ephedra Decoction): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes, rinse in water, skim foam, dry-roast); Bibi (Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Rhizoma); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, cracked, remove skin and navel, 2 liang each); Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, remove stamens); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, slice and dry-roast); Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus); Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 0.5 liang each); Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, stir-fry, 14 kernels). Cut into sizes like hemp seeds. Take 5 qianbi per dose, with 1.5 cups of water, add 0.5 fen of chopped Shengjiang, decoct to 80%, strain, and take warm.
Huangu Dan (Bone-Replacing Pill) (from *Ruizhutang Jingyan Fang*): Treats sudden stroke, deviation of the mouth and eye, left hemiplegia and right paralysis, hemiplegia, aphasia, and all types of wind epilepsy and silent wind.
Ingredients: Huaiguoz (Sophorae Fructus); Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex, remove red bark); Xianshu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma); Weilingxian (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma); Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Heshouwu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix); Manjingzi (Viticis Fructus); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 2 liang each); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes). Take one pill per dose, with raw honey water. Stop when sweating occurs in a warm place under covers.
Buhuan Jin Dan (Unchanging Gold Pill): Treats deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Jingjie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica); Baijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, stir-fry); Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, roasted); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 1 liang each); Chuanwutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Rhizoma, raw use); Baifuzi (Typhonii Rhizoma, raw use); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix); Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba, 3 liang). Grind into fine powder. Apply to the right cheek to correct deviation.
Duhuo San (Angelica Pubescens Powder): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face, inability to move hands and feet, wind entering the zang-organs causing dizziness, silence, sensation of back and waist loosening, difficulty in bending and stretching, bone bi-cold pain.
Ingredients: Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix); Chi Fuling (Poria with Red Heart); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, cracked, remove skin and navel); Baijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, slightly stir-fry); Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes); Ganxie (Scorpio, slightly stir-fry). Take with Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) decoction.
Tianma Wan (Gastrodia Pill): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye, and abnormal speech.
Ingredients: Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Baijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, slightly stir-fry); Baifuzi (Typhonii Rhizoma, cracked); Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, cracked, 1 liang each); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base, 3 fen); Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes). Take 10 pills with warm wine at any time.
Qufeng San (Wind-Expelling Powder): Treats deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, remove sprouts); Guanzi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, remove bark); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes); Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix, processed, remove skin and navel, 0.5 liang each); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, roasted); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove sprouts). Use 1 cup of water, decoct to 4 qian.
Fangfeng San (Saposhnikovia Powder): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face, inability to move hands and feet, wind entering the zang-organs causing inability to turn speech, mental confusion and dizziness.
Ingredients: Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base); Chuan Shengma ( Cimicifugae Rhizoma); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix); Yiyiren (Coicis Semen, 1 liang each); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 1 liang); Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu). Use 1 cup of water. Take again inside. Cover with clothes.
Qianghuo San (Notopterygium Powder): Treats stroke with abnormal mouth and face, spasm of the four limbs, and slurred speech.
Ingredients: Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix); Manjingzi (Viticis Fructus, 1 liang each); Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma); Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, bran-fried until slightly yellow, remove pulp); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, slice and slightly stir-fry); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu). Add 1 he of bamboo sap.
Mahuang San (Ephedra Powder): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face, and tendon-vessel spasm.
Ingredients: Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base); Han Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex); Lingyangjiao xie (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved); Suanzaoren (Zizyphi Spinosi Semen, 1 liang each). Add 1 he of bamboo sap.
Yinyu San (Ilex Cantharoides Powder): Treats lateral wind, abnormal mouth and eyes, slurred speech, and spasm of the four limbs.
Ingredients: Yinyu (Ilicis Cantharoidis Folium); Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, 1.5 liang each); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, slice and slightly stir-fry); Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, bran-fried until slightly yellow, remove pulp); Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba); Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma); Lingyangjiao xie (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved, 1 liang each). Add 0.5 fen of ginger, decoct.
Suanzaoren San (Zizyphi Spinosa Seed Powder): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face, phlegm-toxic headache.
Ingredients: Suanzaoren (Zizyphi Spinosi Semen, slightly stir-fry); Lingyangjiao xie (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved); Danshen (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base); Han Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix); Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemi Indici Flos); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix).
Soushun Fengqi Wan (Search Smoothness Wind-Qi Pill): Treats wind-dampness qi, deviation of the mouth and eye, and constipation.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1.5 liang); Maziren (Cannabis Fructus); Baizi Ren (Platycladi Semen); Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang each); Zhaojiao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus, do not remove skin, use 2 liang); Hei Qianniu (Morning Glory Seed, powder, 1 liang). Form pills, take with warm wine.
Formula for treating deviation of the mouth, eye, and ear.
Ingredients: Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata); Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix, 2 liang each); Baishi (Myrobalani Fructus); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, 2 liang each); Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix); Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 4 liang each); Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, 30 kernels).
Gegen Tang (Kudzu Decoction): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and face.
Ingredients: Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove forks); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, cracked, remove skin and navel); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes, decoct first, skim foam, dry-roast, 2 liang each); Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, remove rhizome base, 2 liang); Songshi (Pinus Massoniana Pine Nut, remove shell, 1.5 liang); Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, soak in water, remove skin and sharp end, double-kernel, stir-fry, 40 kernels). Cut into sizes like hemp seeds. Take 2 qianbi per dose, with 2 cups of water and 1 cup of wine, add 3 slices of Shengjiang, decoct to 1.5 cups, strain, divide into three doses, twice during the day and once at night.
Fangfeng Tang (Saposhnikovia Decoction): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and face, tearing, and loss of voice.
Tiannanxing Wan (Arisaema Pill): Treats stroke, inability to move hands and feet, tendon-vessel spasm, difficulty walking, deviation of the mouth and eye, and occasional convulsions.
Ingredients: Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, processed); Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, cracked, remove skin and navel); Ganxie (Scorpio, whole, remove toxicity, stir-fry); Huoxiangye (Agastaches Rugosae Folium); Baijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, straight ones, stir-fry); Baifuzi (Typhonii Rhizoma). Take with warm wine, fasting.
Tianma San (Gastrodia Powder): Treats stroke, falling unconscious and not recognizing people, and deviation of the mouth and face.
Ingredients: Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma); Qilinjie (Dragon's Blood); Baijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, slightly stir-fry); Ganxie (Scorpio, slightly stir-fry); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome base); Xijiao xie (Rhinocerotis Cornu, shaved, 1 liang each); Shexiang (Moschus, finely ground).
Shengma Tang (Cimicifuga Decoction): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove forks); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove roots and nodes, skim foam, dry-roast, 1 liang each); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Lingyangjiao xie (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved, 1.5 liang); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex). Decoct for three boils. Remove, avoid external wind.
Tianxiong San (Aconitum Hypocrateriforme Powder): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and face pulling the eyes shut, wind noise in ears leading to deafness, cold pain in facial bones, wind vertigo and headache.
Ingredients: Tianxiong (Aconitum Hypocrateriforme Root, cracked, remove skin and navel); Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, remove sprouts and leaves, slightly stir-fry, 1.5 liang each); Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus, 2.5 liang); Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, processed, 2.5 liang); Shanyu (Dioscoreae Rhizoma). Take again.
Yunqi San (Qi-Balancing Powder): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Wuyao (Litseae Fructus, 1 liang); Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 4 liang); Hanliancae (Ecliptae Herba); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, roasted); Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, remove pulp); Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, 5 qian each). Chew, use 1 sheng of water, take fasting. Avoid wind-moving foods.
Fangfeng Tang (Saposhnikovia Decoction): Treats stroke complicated by summerheat, sudden fainting, blue-black complexion, weak limbs, frequent groaning and yawning, deviation of the mouth and eye, numbness of the four limbs, and inappropriate laughter.
Ingredients: Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove forks); Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex); Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, bran-fried, remove skin and sharp end); Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, processed); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, roasted, equal parts, cut into pieces). Take 4 qian per dose.
Zhuifeng Wan (Wind-Chasing Pill): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Cishi (Magnetitum, quenched in vinegar ten times, weigh 1 fen, grind); Shiliuhuang (Sulfur, grind, 1 qian); Bimazi (Ricini Semen, 15 kernels, remove skin, grind); Gan Woju Gen (Lactucae Radix, 3 qian). Place on the right hand for left-sided deviation.
Ganjiang Fuzi Tang (Zingiber and Aconite Decoction): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face.
Baisheng San (White Holy Powder): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face.
Ingredients: Tianxiong (Aconitum Hypocrateriforme Root, cracked, remove skin and navel); Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus, stir-fry and cool, 2 liang each); Shanyu (Dioscoreae Rhizoma, 3 liang); Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, processed, 1 fen). Make into powder. Take per dose.
Wujiang Wan (Aconite and Ginger Pill): Treats various strokes, deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix); Caowu (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Rhizoma); Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma); Liangjiang (Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma, 1 liang each). Cut finely, boil in 1 bowl of good vinegar until vinegar is consumed, cut finely again, slowly stir-fry until dry, grind into fine powder.
Renshen Wan (Ginseng Pill): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and eye, normal movement of hands and feet, no slurred speech. Only due to wind entering through holes near the ears while sitting or lying, causing tendon traction.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma); Caowutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Rhizoma, raw, remove skin and tip); Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, remove oil, soak in wine, dry-roast, 1 liang each). Grind into fine powder, make pills with wheat paste boiled in water, size of tung tree seeds.
Shengzi San (Holy Seed Powder): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Fulonggan (Calaminus); Muli (Ostrea Concha, calcined); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, cracked, remove skin and navel, use center part, equal parts). Make into powder. Mix with blood from the comb of a three-year-old black chicken, adjust half a qian. Corrects immediately.
Add Baifuzi Formula: Treats wind entering the zang-organs causing aphasia and sudden death, mutual pulling of the mouth and eyes, tight jaw, and inability to turn the tongue, causing deviation.
Use Fulonggan San mixed with chicken comb blood and turtle blood to apply. Change when dry. Also moxa the horizontal lines at the corners of the mouth where red meets white, on both sides, according to age moxa cones.
Yizi San (One-Character Powder): Treats attack by thief-wind, deviation of the mouth and eye.
Ingredients: Wutou (Aconiti Radix, raw use); Qingfan (Vitriolum, 0.5 liang each). Grind into fine powder. Insert one "character" amount into the nose to expel mucus and saliva.
Daydou Jiu (Soybean Wine) (from *Qianjin Fang*): Treats sudden stroke, abnormal mouth and eye position.
Wuzhuyu Tang (Evodia Decoction): Kills ghost toxins, treats thief-wind, deviation of the mouth and inability to speak.
Garlic Application Formula: Treats deviation of the mouth and eye.
Place garlic paste in an oak cup, apply to Hegu acupoint (LI4). Apply to the left if deviated left, to the right if deviated right. Stop when corrected.
Duanshigao (Calcined Gypsum Paste) (from *Ren Cun Fang*): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye.
Use 1 he of calcined gypsum, stir-fry with vinegar until paste-like. Apply to the left if deviated right, to the right if deviated left. Wash off immediately when corrected. Another method uses water mixed.
Another Formula (from *Shenghui Fang*)
Pound Trichosanthes fruit, squeeze out juice, mix with jujube flour to make cakes, heat and compress. Stop when corrected, do not overdo.
Treats all winds, deviation of the mouth and eye. (Also known as Jasione Pill)
Use 1 jin of green Schizonepeta and 1 jin of green Mint, grind in a mortar, squeeze through raw silk cloth to get juice, slow-fire cook in porcelain vessel into paste. Form pills, take three doses daily, avoid wind-moving foods, take with warm wine.
Bimazi Gao (Castor Oil Paste): Treats abnormal deviation of the mouth and eye.
Take 14 large castor beans (7 from southeast branch, 7 from west branch), 7 Croton seeds (remove skin). Grind into paste. Place on bowl... Incense.
Another Formula (from *Shenghui Fang*)
Bie Jia (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum), Wutou (Aconiti Radix, 1 liang each, raw use). Grind into powder, mix with vinegar to apply. Wipe off when corrected. No vinegar alternative exists.
Treats deviation of the mouth and eye.
Use 3 jin of soybean flour, stir-fry until scorched, pour 3 sheng of wine, filter juice, drink at once, once a day. Alternatively use black soybean flour.
Treats abnormal deviation of the mouth in stroke.
Pound raw deer meat and raw Qianghuo together, apply. Monitor for correction and remove quickly. Treats lateral wind, apply right side for left lesion, left side for right lesion.
Songye Jiu (Pine Needle Wine) (from *Qianjin Fang*): Treats stroke, deviation of the mouth and face, also treats chronic stroke lasting three years.
Use 1 jin of fresh pine needles, cut finely, pound in stone mortar until juice comes out, store in raw silk bag, soak in 1 dou of clear wine for two nights, warm near fire for one night. Initial dose 0.5 jin, gradually increase to 1 jin. Stop when sweat appears on head and face. If no wine, soaking in water is also acceptable.
Youma Jiu (Sesame Wine): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face.
Stir-fry and pound sesame, sieve coarsely 1 jin, store in raw silk bag, soak in 1.5 dou of wine for seven days. Take 3 he per dose, gradually increase.
Can Sha Jin Jiu (Silkworm Sand Soaked Wine): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face, drooling from corner of mouth.
Lightly stir-fry 5 sheng of silkworm sand, pound, store in raw silk bag, soak in 1.5 dou of wine for seven days, drink. 3 to 5 he per dose, maintain constant intake.
Treats stroke with abnormal deviation of the mouth and face.
Heat rooster blood and apply. Stop when corrected. Fresh blood is also good. Apply to the flaccid side.
Spider Rubbing Formula (from *Shenghui Fang*): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye.
Rub a large spider on the flaccid side of the cheek at Jiache (ST6) and in front of the ear. Stop when corrected. Can rub near fire or use spider web silk.
Baiyu Gao (White Fish Paste): Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and face.
Rub seven booklice on the flaccid side. Stop when corrected, fear over-correction. In acute cases, both sides have pathology; rub the flaccid side first, then the tense side.
Treats lateral wind deviation of the mouth and face, all heat-toxic wind attacking head and face.
Steam banana root twice in a steamer, pound until soft, squeeze natural juice. Take 2 he after meals daily, mix with raw honey.
Treats sudden stroke, abnormal mouth and eye position, and numbness of arms and hands.
Hold one bean-sized piece of Kongqing (Azurite) powder in mouth until cured, can also swallow.
Zaojiao Gao (Gleditsia Paste) (from *Qianjin Fang*): Treats stroke, abnormal mouth and eye, pulling of limbs when speaking, otherwise no other discomfort, caused by inconvenient living conditions and lying down.
Use 5 liang of large Gleditsia fruit, remove skin and seeds, sift. Mix with three-year-old rice vinegar. Apply right side for left deviation, left side for right deviation. Reapply when dry.
Treats stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye, and dizziness/vertigo. (from *Shenghui Fang*)
Collect cicada shells from southeast branches on July 7th, grind to powder, mix with Hanshi dough, form paste with vinegar. Apply left side for left deviation.
Treats wind pulling eyes and deviation of mouth corner. (from *Wei Shi Fang*)
Prick blood from head of one eel. Apply right side for left deviation, left side for right deviation. Wash off eel when corrected.
Yufeng Gao (Wind-Navigating Paste, also known as Bimazi Gao, from *Shenghui Fang*): Treats deviation of the mouth and eye, caused by wind-stroke transmitting to Yangming meridian.
Take 7 castor beans from east/west branches, remove shell, grind, apply to palm. Place a small cup over the castor beans on palm, pour hot water over cup. Adjust left/right as needed.
Zhike Formula (from *Shenghui Fang*): Treats stroke, deviation of mouth and tight eyes.
Scrape green outer layer of Zhike into powder, obtain 5 sheng near the pulp, dry moisture with mild fire, soak in 3 sheng of wine, warm gently to extract medicine.

Pound 7 peeled Croton seeds, apply right palm for left deviation, left palm for right deviation. Hold 1 cup of warm water towards palm, corrects quickly.
Guixin Formula (from *Qianjin Fang*): Treats stroke, mutual pulling of face and eyes, deviation, tight jaw, inability to turn tongue.
Chronic phlegm-fluid transforms into wind, deviation of mouth and eye, inability to speak. Mix Suhexiang with ginger juice, take half cup. Qingzhou Wan has divine efficacy. Chronic phlegm-fluid stagnation in chest/diaphragm suddenly causes copious phlegm-saliva, numbness of limbs, deviation of mouth and eye, abnormal speech. Urgently use 3 Suhexiang Wan mixed with ginger juice, followed by 5 Qingzhou Bai Wanzi. If unable to swallow, grind Bai Wanzi fine and灌 (administer).
Deviation of mouth and eye is wind-stroke, body-wide tendon pain and fever. Decoct 5 spoons adding Shaoyao, Suhexiang Wan works fast (from *Wen Shi Yinju Fang*).
Decoct wind medicine three times, mix with 3 Suhexiang Wan, leave dregs to decoct again.
Treats wind steaming causing hand/foot pain, deviation of mouth and eye, constipation with heat, copious phlegm-saliva. (from *Huming Fang*)
Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, clean sand, 0.5 liang); Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 0.5 liang); Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, processed, 0.5 liang); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 0.5 liang); Jingjie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica, 0.5 liang); Shexiang (Moschus, 3 fen). Powder, take 1.5 qian per dose, with food.
Xuming Dan (Continuing Life Pill) (from *Weisheng Baojian*): Treats men and women with sudden stroke from various winds, deviation of mouth and eye, slurred speech, tight jaw, coughing and vomiting.
Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix); Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, ginger-processed); Chuanwutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Rhizoma, processed, remove skin and navel); Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex); Baixianpi (Dictamni Cortex); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix); Zhusha (Cinnabaris); Haitongpi (Erythrinae Cortex); Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 2 qian each). Grind into powder, take with Mahuang wine and Congjiang (scallion juice), at any time.
Xijiao Fangfeng Tang (Rhino Horn and Saposhnikovia Decoction) (from *Weisheng Baojian*): Treats all winds, deviation of mouth and eye, dragging of limbs, slurred speech, numbness of four limbs.
Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 1 liang each); Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba); Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus); Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix); Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix); Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba); Quanxie (Scorpio, stir-fry, 0.5 liang each); Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, 7.5 liang); Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, 1.5 liang). Take 5 qian, 2 cups of water, add raw... Then remove Dahuang completely and take.
Zhisheng Baoming Jindan (Supreme Life-Preserving Golden Pill) (from *Weisheng Baojian*): Treats stroke with deviation of mouth and eye, dragging of limbs, slurred speech, difficulty lifting limbs, mental confusion.
Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix, 7 qian); Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, best with brocade pattern); Puhuang (Typhae Pollen); Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba, clean soil); Niuhuang (Bovis Calculus, grind); Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum, grind); Zhusha (Cinnabaris, water-triturate); Jinbo (Gold Leaf, 1.5 qian, grind).
