The term "Chi Gan" (Tooth Worm Disease/Gum Erosion) refers to conditions resembling erosion by "Gan worms". It manifests with exposed, rotting tooth roots, simultaneous discharge of pus and blood, and foul breath in the mouth. This is likely due to stagnation and obstruction within the Zang-Fu organs, causing heat to steam upwards to the Upper Jiao (Upper Burner). Although the teeth are susceptible to external pathogens, formulas for treatment are attached here.
