Mr. Xue treated a pediatric patient suffering from the aforementioned epilepsy (epilepsy). The child experienced expectoration of phlegm and lethargy during attacks, recovering consciousness after a short while. Various medications proved ineffective until the age of thirteen, when the frequency of attacks increased significantly. He prescribed fresh placenta (Ziheche, human placenta) from a well-nourished source, ground into a paste, mixed with powdered Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) and Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), and processed into pills the size of *Celastrus orbiculatus* seeds. Each dose consisted of 30–50 pills, taken three to five times daily, administered with milk emulsion. Gradual improvement was observed within one month. Subsequently, supplementation with Bazhen Decoction (Eight-Treasure Decoction) led to complete recovery.
Another seven-year-old child suffered from fright-epilepsy. Mr. Xue instructed the parents to allow the child to drink human breast milk freely; consequently, the frequency and severity of seizures gradually decreased. At fourteen years old, the condition recurred. Breast milk therapy was ineffective at this stage, but several doses of Placenta Pills restored health. Long-term management with Modified Bawei Pill maintained stability. Upon recurrence at twenty-three years old, accompanied by cold extremities, the previous method was employed again, supplemented with Bawei Pill and Shiquan Dabu Decoction (Ten-Agent Great Tonifying Decoction), resulting in full recovery.
Several other pediatric cases were treated successfully by alternating between Buzhong Yiqi Decoction (Decoction for Boosting the Middle and Augmenting Qi), Liujunzi Decoction (Six-Gentlemen Decoction), Liuwei Dihuang Pill (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill), and Bawei Dihuang Pill (Eight-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill).

Pediatric urine resembling rice-washing water, or urine that turns turbid like rice-washing water after standing for a short period, indicates damp-heat in the Spleen and Stomach. This syndrome is common among those with irregular dietary habits, though it may also result from Qi deficiency with sinking. If pulse and symptoms indicate fire, clear heat and promote urination using Daochi San (Guide Out Red Powder) or Siwei Fei'er Wan (Four-Ingredient Child-Nourishing Pill). If excessive dietary injury causes abdominal distension and stagnation, use Baohe Wan (Preserve Harmony Pill) or Da'an Wan (Great Peace Pill). If there is insufficiency of form and Qi, yellowish emaciation, vomiting, or diarrhea, use Wuwei Yigong San (Five-Agent Extraordinary Skill Powder), Sijunzi Tang (Four-Gentlemen Decoction), or Buzhong Yiqi Tang. If Liver and Kidney fire are exuberant and transferring heat to the Bladder, symptoms will include pain, astringency, irritability, and fever; treat with Qiwei Longdan Xiegan Tang (Seven-Agent Gentiana Liver-Draining Decoction). If the Spleen and Stomach are inherently deficient yet complicated by damp-heat, use Sijunzi Tang with stir-fried Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian). If only leukorrhea-like urinary turbidity is present without other signs of heat or abnormal pulses, simply restrict raw, cold fruits and sweet foods; self-healing will occur shortly. One must not overuse cold herbs such as Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), or Gardeniae Fructus (Zhizi) merely because of white urine, as this often damages the Spleen, leading to vomiting and diarrhea, and eventually causing severe debility. These are harms caused by misdiagnosis and mistreatment, which must be carefully examined.
