榆树皮的疗效。能通利孔窍。清除热邪。消除肿胀。疏通经脉。运行精液。向下排出有形积滞物。治疗久咳。促进滑胎和容易生产。胎儿死于腹中。治疗瘰疬痈肿。癣疮。汤火烫伤。榆花能祛除热邪。通利小便。榆仁能安神助眠、杀虫。榆仁丸：榆仁、黄连各一分，研成粉末。取七个猪胆的汁液倒入碗中，放在甑上蒸九日，每天一次。加入五分麝香（研细），用汤浸泡过的蒸饼调和，制成如绿豆大小的丸剂。每次服用五到七丸至一二十丸。治疗疳积发热、消瘦憔悴且有虫。榆白皮散：榆白皮、葵根、瞿麦各二钱，大麻仁、木通各一钱，牛膝（酒浸后焙干）一钱五分。水煎服。治疗漏胎。又一方：榆白皮、甘草各二两，葵子一两，制成粗末。每次服用二钱，水煎服。用于滑胎易产。必须在临近分娩时服用。榆白皮汤：榆白皮、赤茯苓、甘遂（炮制）、瞿麦、犀角屑、栀子、木通子、黄芩、滑石各五钱，芒硝一两，制成散剂。每次服用三钱，饭前水煎服。治疗热淋。又一方：榆白皮研成粉末，用鸡蛋清调和涂抹。治疗五色丹毒。

The efficacy of Ulmus cortex (Ulmus macrocarpa bark). It can unblock orifices, clear heat, reduce swelling, unblock meridians, promote the circulation of essence and fluids, and downwardly expel tangible stagnations. It treats chronic cough, facilitates smooth delivery and easy childbirth, and addresses fetal death in utero. It treats scrofula and carbuncles, tinea, burns and scalds. The flowers of Ulmus dispel heat and promote urination. The seeds of Ulmus calm sleep and kill parasites. Ulmus Seed Pill: Equal parts (one fen) of Ulmus seed and Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), ground into powder. Extract juice from seven pig gallbladders into a bowl, steam over a steamer for nine days, once daily. Add five fen of Moschus (Musk, finely ground). Soak steamed leavened bread in water, mix with the powder to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 5-7 pills up to 10-20 pills per dose. Treats infantile malnutrition (Gan syndrome) with fever, emaciation, and parasitic infection. Ulmus White Bark Powder: Two qian each of Ulmus alba bark (Yubai pi), Abutilon theophrasti root (Kuigen), and Diantherae Herba (Qumai); one qian each of Cannabis Fructus (Dama ren) and Akebiae Caulis (Mutong); one qian 5 fen of Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi, soaked in wine and roasted). Decoct in water and take orally. Treats threatened abortion with bleeding. Another prescription: Two liang each of Ulmus alba bark (Yubai pi) and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), one liang of Abelmoschi Semen (Kui zi), made into coarse powder. Take two qian per dose, decoct in water and take orally. Used for facilitating smooth delivery and easy childbirth. Must be taken near term. Ulmus White Bark Decoction: Five qian each of Ulmus alba bark (Yubai pi), Poria cocos with Red Hosta Root (Chifuling), Kansui Radix (Gansu, processed), Diantherae Herba (Qumai), Rhinocerotis Cornu (Xijiao), Gardeniae Fructus (Zhizi), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Talcum (Huashi), and one liang of Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao), made into a powder. Take three qian per dose, decoct in water and take before meals. Treats painful urinary dysfunction due to heat (Re lin). Another prescription: Grind Ulmus alba bark (Yubai pi) into powder, mix with egg white, and apply topically. Treats erysipelas of five colors.

Indications. Kills three types of parasites, aids digestion, relieves pain, treats wind-dampness, cold qi, wheezing, joint wind-stroke, sensation of insects crawling on the skin, accumulation of cold in heart and abdomen, biangia (abdominal masses), intestinal wind, five types of hemorrhoids, uterine wind-deficiency in women, infantile gan diarrhea, cold dysentery, scabies and tinea, malignant sores, damp sores (apply mixed with honey), hot sores (apply mixed with pig bile), fistula ani, all kinds of sore toxins, and toxic insect bites. Wuyi Pill: Two liang each of Wuyi (Wuyi fructus, stir-fried) and Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), five qian of Boar's Gallbladder (Ranshe dan), ground into powder, formed into pills the size of wutong seeds using honey. Take thirty pills per dose, swallow with apricot kernel soup before meals, twice daily. Treats chronic dysentery that does not heal, parasitic infection, and rectal prolapse. Wuyi Powder: Five qian each of Wuyi (Wuyi fructus) and Polyporus umbellatus (Leiwan), five qian of Drynariae Rhizoma (Ganxi, crushed and stir-fried until smoke ceases), ground into powder. Take two to three qian per dose, mix with water and swallow. Treats heartache caused by roundworm biting. For children, take one zi or five fen per dose. Another prescription: Stir-fry Wuyi (Wuyi fructus), decoct in water, and drink as tea. Treats biangia (abdominal masses).
