钱。煎汤漱口。以固牙齿。 又方。海蛤粉防己各七钱五分。陈皮郁李仁（均炒）各五钱。
赤
苓桑白皮葶苈（隔纸炒）各一两。研末。蜜丸梧子大。每服二三十丸。早晚各一次。治石水
肢
肿。其腹独大。 海蛤散。海蛤滑石（ 水飞）甘草各五钱。芒硝一两。研末。每服二钱。
鸡
子清调下。治妇人伤寒血结胸膈。小肠通利结血自散。更以针针期门穴。再以桂枝红花汤发
其汗。则愈。 又方。海蛤三钱茴香（炒）七钱五分。薏仁白术槟榔各五分。研末。食前温
酒
调下五钱。治小儿阴肿。由啼叫怒气闭纵于下者。（蚌壳功用略同此药）
主治功效：化痰，清热，消积，下气并补益膀胱，通利小便，滋润五脏及大小肠。治疗伤寒引起的寒热往来，消渴病，异常出汗（反汗），呕吐逆气，咳嗽气喘，热痰，老痰，顽痰，喘息，抽搐痉挛伴中风，瘫痪，烦闷胀满，腰痛，胸痛，水气浮肿、腹部胀满急痛，遗精和白浊，血痢，阳痿，疝气，妇人血结胸膈，崩漏和带下病，颈下部瘤瘿。
海蛤丸方：海蛤（用醋淬炼七次后烧制）、当归、海金沙、腻粉、砂各一钱；海藻、粉霜各五分；水蛭（炒制）二十一条；青黛、滑石、乳香各一钱；朱砂（单独研磨）二钱；地龙二十一条。将上述药材研成细末，用盐煮的面糊制成如小豆大小的丸剂，外裹朱砂衣。每次服用十丸，空腹时用灯心草煎汤送服。治疗疝气，服药后若小便排出冷脓和恶臭物质即为见效。随后再用黄连、紫河车、板蓝根各二钱，煎汤漱口，以巩固牙齿。
又一方：海蛤粉、防己各七钱五分；陈皮、郁李仁（均炒制）各五钱；赤茯苓、桑白皮、葶苈子（隔纸炒制）各一两。研成细末，用蜂蜜制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用二三十丸，早晚各一次。治疗石水病导致的肢体浮肿，仅腹部显著肿大。
海蛤散方：海蛤、滑石（水飞法处理）、甘草各五钱；芒硝一两。研成细末。每次服用二钱，用鸡蛋清调服。治疗妇人伤寒导致的血结胸膈，使小肠通利，凝结之血自然消散。再用针刺期门穴，随后服用桂枝红花汤发汗，即可痊愈。
又一方：海蛤三钱，茴香（炒制）七钱五分，薏苡仁、白术、槟榔各五分。研成细末。饭前用温酒调服五钱。治疗小儿阴囊肿大，由啼哭叫喊或怒气导致气机闭塞下行所致。（蚌壳的功效与此药大致相同）
Indications: Resolves phlegm (Tan), clears heat (Re), eliminates accumulation (Ji), directs Qi downward and benefits the Bladder, unblocks urination, moistens the Five Viscera and the Large and Small Intestines. Treats alternating chills and fever due to Shanghan (Cold Damage), Xiao Ke (Wasting-Thirst syndrome), abnormal sweating (Fan Han), vomiting and rebellious Qi, coughing with wheezing, hot phlegm, old phlegm, stubborn phlegm, panting, convulsions and spasms associated with Zhong Feng (Wind Stroke), paralysis, vexation and fullness, lower back pain, chest pain, edema due to Water Qi, abdominal distension with acute pain, spermatorrhea and white turbidity, blood dysentery, impotence, Shan Qi (Hernia), blood stagnation in the chest and diaphragm in women, metrorrhagia and leukorrhea, goiter and nodules on the neck.
Haige Wan (Clam Shell Pill): Haige (Clam Shell) [burned and quenched in vinegar seven times], Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Haijinsha (Lygodii Spora), Nifen (Calomel), Sha (Borax) each 1 qian; Haizao (Sargassum Herba), Fenshuang (Pulvis Boracis Preparatus) each 5 fen; Shuizhi (Hirudo) [stir-fried] 21 pieces; Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), Huashi (Talcum), Ruxiang (Olibanum) each 1 qian; Zhusha (Cinnabar) [separately ground] 2 qian; Dilong (Pheretima) 21 pieces. Grind into fine powder. Use salt-boiled wheat flour paste to make pills the size of small beans. Coat with Zhusha. Take 10 pills per dose, administered orally with empty stomach using Dengxincao (Junci Medulla) decoction. For treating Shan Qi (Hernia), efficacy is indicated by the discharge of cold pus and foul matter from urine. Subsequently, rinse mouth with decoction made of Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Zihewche (Placenta Humana), and Banlangen (Isatidis Radix) each 2 qian, to strengthen teeth.
Another Prescription: Haigefen (Clam Shell Powder), Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix) each 7.5 qian; Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Yuliren (Prunus Armeniacae Semen) [both stir-fried] each 5 qian; Chiling (Poria Cum Ligno), Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex), Tinglizi (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii Semen) [stir-fried between papers] each 1 liang. Grind into fine powder. Make pills with honey the size of wutong seeds. Take 20-30 pills per dose, morning and evening. For treating Shishui (Stone Water) causing limb edema with isolated abdominal distension.
Haige San (Clam Shell Powder): Haige (Clam Shell), Huashi (Talcum) [processed by water flotation], Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) each 5 qian; Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas) 1 liang. Grind into fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with egg white (Jizi Qing). For treating blood stagnation in the chest and diaphragm in women due to Shanghan, promoting bladder/intestinal free flow so that coagulated blood disperses naturally. Then puncture Qimen (LR14) acupoint. Follow with Guizhi Honghua Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Safflower Decoction) to induce sweating, then recovery occurs.
Another Prescription: Haige 3 qian, Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus) [stir-fried] 7.5 qian, Yiren (Coicis Semen), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Binglang (Arecae Semen) each 5 fen. Grind into fine powder. Take 5 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine before meals. For treating pediatric scrotal swelling caused by crying, shouting, or anger leading to Qi closure descending inferiorly. (Bengke [Clam Shell] has similar functions.)
