The Master's secret manual, the "Jue on Life and Death Blood Channels." Yang Chengbo inherited the secret of pulse diagnosis. The Master said: To understand the vital blood channels concerning life and death, one must clearly comprehend the changes of the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) and the twelve double-hour periods (Shichen), so as to sequentially determine life and death. It is forbidden to use this for matters involving injury or death. When encountering villains while traveling, this skill should not be endured lightly; without such villains, why harm human life? This technique originates from the "Three Points" method. What is the "Three Points" method? It refers to the Tiger's Mouth point (Hegu area), the Palm tip, and the Shoulder tip. One must ensure precise alignment (Zi-Wu distinction) and achieve hundred-percent accuracy. On the day a virtuous disciple masters this technique, they must respect the Master's precepts, ensuring this skill achieves hundred-percent accuracy. Those who find it difficult to understand this technique should adopt a benevolent approach; forcing it will lead to failure.
Apart from this technique being secondary, striking with the Tiger's Mouth point at the Palm tip, dropping onto the Palm tip, and dropping onto the Shoulder tip requires caution. Do not strike randomly to take lives. If employed, do not forget the Master's entrustment. If the text is unclear, refer to the surrounding diagrams to understand. These admonitions stem from one's own conscience. If this book is passed to good people, it can certainly be used to treat patients according to proper procedures. If fallen into the hands of villains, the disaster will be profound; it must not be disseminated recklessly.
The Master said: The human body has eighteen major acupoints and fifty-four minor acupoints, along with four major points corresponding to Heaven, Earth, Humanity, and Harmony. These points can cause death. What are the minor points? They are located in the limbs of the hands and feet. Together with internal and external tendons and bones, there are seventy-two points. There are seventy-two medicinal formulas. Upon successful cultivation, miraculous medicines can save lives. When traveling, one must not harm others; always maintain benevolent thoughts, plan carefully when facing situations, and keep the Master's words firmly in mind.
First observation: Use fingers to lift the eyelids and observe if the pupils move.
Second observation: Check the blood color at the corners of the mouth and the Renzhong point (GV26). Red and yellow colors are acceptable; white, purple, or black colors indicate difficult-to-treat conditions.
Third observation: At the Taiyin and Taiyang regions, press internally; if pulsation is felt, treatment is possible. If the heart also pulses, among the Five Elements, if one blood point shows vitality, rescue is possible. If no vitality is observed, examine the exterior. Press the head at the first, second, third, and fourth gates. Identify which gate is active, then blow Tongguan San (Pass-the-Gate Powder) into the nostrils. Strike the three gates once with the hand. Take a rooster, cut open the belly including the skin, add 3 fen of Moschus (Musk), and apply it hot to the umbilicus. Observe the complexion: if red turns to crimson, there is hope; if white turns to black, death is imminent. If the form and color are poor, administer 6 fen of Nan Dui Da Shen (Difficult-to-match Ginseng) and服用 Huisheng Dan (Life-Returning Pill). Wait for the duration of three incense sticks. Listen for internal sounds, then push with the hand. For men, push the left side; for women, the right side. Push the abdomen for women, and the Dantian for men. Do not release the grip. Perform this three times. Check if Qi connects, then identify the injury site. Rub the injured area with a slice of fresh ginger and green onion bulb. Press the Laogong point (PC8) to dissipate the injury, then treat with medicine. Injuries to acupoints that result in seven types of cries are untreatable; continuous flow of urine and feces, testicular detachment, fracture of the lumbar vertebrae, rupture of both eyes, exposure of the trachea in the throat, falling onto two heart areas, impact on the heart, lying injured on the ground with fluid vomiting from the center of the chest are all untreatable. Insert a flower needle 2-3 cun above the nasal tip; if bright red blood appears, there is hope. If the blood turns white, yellow, or red, it is untreatable. For apparent death cases where the throat moves red and the heart struggles, blow Guiguan San (Close-Gate Powder) for immediate effect. Close the gate, lift once, and strike. If not struck sufficiently, fear harming a life and reducing lifespan by three years.
