At the Yin hour, it corresponds to the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian. It begins at the Middle Jiao (Middle Burner) and ends at the medial side of the thumb, emerging from its tip.
At the Mao hour, it corresponds to the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian. It begins at the tip of the index finger. It ends beside the nostril.
At the Chen hour, it corresponds to the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian. It begins at the intersection on the nose bridge (near Jingming BL-1), and ends between the big toe, emerging from the tip.
At the Si hour, it corresponds to the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian. It begins at the tip of the big toe. It ends by pouring into the Heart.
At the Wu hour, it corresponds to the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Meridian. It begins in the Heart. It ends along the medial side of the little finger, emerging from the tip.
At the Wei hour, it corresponds to the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian. It begins at the tip of the little finger. It ends reaching the nose to the inner canthus of the eye, slanting to connect with the zygomatic bone.

The three Yang meridians of the hands travel from the hands to the head. The three Yang meridians of the feet travel from the head to the feet. This represents high energy descending to receive [from below].
The three Yin meridians of the feet travel from the feet to the abdomen. The three Yin meridians of the hands travel from the abdomen to the hands. This represents low energy ascending towards [above].
Thus, upper and lower rising and descending achieve harmony. The *I Ching* (Book of Changes) states: "The Way of Heaven descends to nourish all things, thereby becoming bright. The Way of Earth is humble yet ascends." The *I Ching* also states: "Mountain and Marsh communicate with Qi." Therefore, Qi resides in Xin Metal. At the Yin hour, at dawn, it begins to flow from the Middle Jiao, following the cosmic pattern, rotating leftward until it concludes at the Chou hour. It circulates fifty times day and night, traversing 810 zhang around the body. As husband sings, wife follows; Blood follows Qi and ascends. One does not see the intention of water flowing downward. The Classics state: "Qi governs warming, its nature is ascending; Blood governs moistening, its nature is lubricating." Books state: "Water's nature is to moisten and flow downward." How can this be explained? Blood that follows Qi has a non-moving essence, just as rivers flow rightward (westward) to the sea; please instruct.
