（奇方）小儿痞疳攻眼。雀眼、青盲（雀眼者，不有翳膜，只晚不见物），白翳遮睛。
绣球防风（一两） 蛤粉（六钱 ）共为末，每服五分。白羊肝（三钱） 竹刀破开羊
肝，将药入肝内，苎麻绑好，入瓦罐内煎吃，五服痊愈。忌盐。

（附方）治嘴歪，或因恶风吹着，或因胃痰犯肝，口眼歪斜。单用麦穗夏枯草一味，烧
酒服
麦穗 夏枯草（三钱） 胆南星（五分） 防风（一钱） 钩藤（一钱） 水煎引点水
酒，卧时服。
（附案）有纪姓者，身胖多痰，因风吹口歪，用麦夏枯点水酒服立愈。后传方与人。

绣球防风，味道苦、辛，药性微温。归入肝经，能破除肝脏中停滞郁结的气机，舒展肝气以解除郁结，破散肝血瘀滞，疏通月经闭止，祛除风热，明亮双目，消退遮蔽视线的翳膜，治疗小儿雀盲症、白翳、青盲症，并能杀灭肝中的寄生虫。但仅适用于肝气实证且有郁结的情况，若为肝虚证则忌用。
（奇方）治疗小儿疳积攻眼引起的雀盲症、青盲症（所谓雀盲症，是指没有翳膜遮挡，只是傍晚时分看不见东西），以及白翳遮蔽瞳孔。
取绣球防风一两、蛤粉六钱，共同研磨成粉末，每次服用五分。另取白羊肝三钱，用竹刀剖开羊肝，将药末填入肝内，用苎麻绳绑好，放入瓦罐中煎煮后食用，服用五剂即可痊愈。服药期间忌食盐。

绣球防风，味道苦、淡，药性平，无毒。主要治疗杨梅结毒、痈疽发背、无名肿毒。外洗可治癣疮、疥癞，效果良好。其种子同地草果一起研磨成末，用黑羊肝煎汤送服，治疗小儿疳积引起的眼部疾病最为有效。

麦穗夏枯草，开放紫花者形状像麦穗，又名铁线夏枯草。味道苦、微辛，药性微温。归入肝经，能祛除肝风，通行经络。治疗口眼歪斜，停止筋骨疼痛，舒展肝气，开通肝郁。治疗眼球胀痛，消散瘰疬，消除周身结核，缓解手足及周身关节骨骼酸痛。
（附方）治疗嘴歪，可能是因为恶风吹袭，也可能是因为胃中痰湿犯肝，导致口眼歪斜。单用麦穗夏枯草一味药，用烧酒送服。
麦穗夏枯草三钱、胆南星五分、防风一钱、钩藤一钱，加水煎煮，服药时引点水酒，睡前服用。
（附案）有一位姓纪的人，身体肥胖且多痰，因受风吹导致口眼歪斜，使用麦穗夏枯草点水酒后服用，立刻痊愈。后来他将此方传授给别人。

Xiuqiu Fangfeng (Ball-shaped Saposhnikovia Root), with a bitter and pungent taste, and a slightly warm nature. It enters the Liver Meridian, breaks stagnant and knotted Qi in the Liver, soothes Liver Qi to resolve stagnation, breaks Liver Blood stasis, unblocks amenorrhea, dispels Wind-Heat, brightens the eyes, reduces nebula covering the pupil, treats pediatric nyctalopia (night blindness), white nebula, and congenital blindness, and kills liver parasites. However, it is only applicable when there is excess Liver Qi with stagnation; it is contraindicated for Liver deficiency.
(Extraordinary Formula) For pediatric malnutrition attacking the eyes: nyctalopia, congenital blindness (Nyctalopia refers to the inability to see at night without any nebula obstruction), and white nebula covering the pupil.
Take Xiuqiu Fangfeng (30g) and Ge Fen (Talcum Powder, 18g), grind them into powder together. Take 1.5g per dose. Take White Ram Liver (9g), split the ram liver with a bamboo knife, insert the medicine inside the liver, bind it tightly with ramie fiber, place it in a clay pot, decoct and consume. Recovery occurs after five doses. Avoid salt.
── Congben Volume Upper
Xiuqiu Fangfeng, with a bitter and bland taste, neutral nature, and non-toxic. Mainly treats yaws chancres, carbuncles on the back, and nameless swelling and toxicity. Washing with it effectively treats tinea corporis and scabies. Its seeds, ground together with Dizhi Caoguo (likely referring to a specific local herb or typo for Zicao/Gromwell root contextually, but literally "Earth Grass Fruit"), decocted in Black Ram Liver soup, are most effective for treating pediatric malnutrition-related eye diseases.
── Moban Volume Eight
Maixia Xiakucao (Prunella Spike), which bears purple flowers resembling wheat spikes, is also known as Tiexian Xiakucao (Iron Wire Prunella). With a bitter and slightly pungent taste, and a slightly warm nature. It enters the Liver Meridian, dispels Liver Wind, and promotes circulation through the collaterals. It treats facial paralysis (deviation of mouth and eyes), relieves bone and tendon pain, soothes Liver Qi, and resolves Liver depression. It treats distending pain of the eyeballs, dissipates scrofula, eliminates systemic tubercles, and alleviates soreness and pain in the joints of the hands, feet, and whole body.
(Attached Formula) For treating facial deviation, whether caused by exposure to evil Wind or Phlegm from the Stomach invading the Liver, resulting in deviation of the mouth and eyes. Use Maixia Xiakucao alone, taken with distilled liquor (Baijiu).
Maixia Xiakucao (9g), Dantanxing (Arisaema cum Bile, 1.5g), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, 3g), Gouteng (Uncaria Rhynchophylla, 3g). Decoct in water, take with a little wine infusion before sleep.
(Attached Case) A person surnamed Ji, who was obese and had much phlegm, suffered from facial deviation due to wind exposure. He used Maixia Xiakucao taken with wine infusion and recovered immediately. He later passed this formula to others.
Repeatedly effective.
