连二两，熬一碗去渣滤净，加川蜜二两，又熬至大半碗，入前药共一处研至无声为度。
秘精菟丝丸 治内障昏花翳障，肾气虚损，目眩耳鸣。四肢倦怠，夜梦遗精。
怀山药（以七分打烂） 白茯苓 石莲肉（各二两） 菟丝子（煮饼，五两）
上用山药糊加蜜丸，空心临卧俱用盐汤送下三钱。
明目夜光丸（张中寰《治眼奇方》）

升灵药法

先将硝矾共研细，入两耳小铁锅内，鹅翎扫圆，上以指按五指眼如梅花样，将水
银均分于内。上以粗碗盖之，周遭以棉纸捻湿水封口，再加研细软石膏按紧于碗底
上，上以大铁锤压之，于风火炉上微火 二炷香，但石膏有气出，即压之，再加武
火一炷香，取起冷定，刮下研收。
升黄灵药加宫粉一两六钱。
升紫灵药加陀僧一两六钱，火候宜小。
升白灵药法
生铅 水银（各一两） 硼砂（三钱）
先将铅化开入水银，即取出为末，再入硼砂共研听用。 食盐、火硝、枯矾各五钱。
先将盐硝矾三味共研一处，下锅炒炼干，再研细分作二股，取羊城罐将一股装
在下，将汞、铅、硼装在中间，再将一股装在上面，用铁盏盖罐口上，以铁梁压住；
铁线扎定，软石膏细末腊封口阴干，炉中用铁钉三根为三足，置罐于上，先文后武
炼三炷香，取起冷定开看，刮下研细用。 时若罐口有烟出，用新笔蘸水涂之。
芦甘石法 取洁白轻而有声的芦甘石，捶黄豆大，用竹纸包四五层，以线
缚圆，外用紫土入新绵捶匀，包在内约一指浓为圆球，阴三五日，收净处候干，将
干用线络挂檐前晒极干透。择吉日用铁线缚数道，平地上砌砖炉，留门扇风，炉中
用大钉三根为足，置炭火将球悬炉上炙一炷香，方可下炉。 三炷香，先取童便一
小缸入黄连、黄柏、黄芩各六钱，侵半日滤清，将球徐徐入童便内浸一宿，取出研
细水飞，再研听用。
八宝散 治诸般外障翳膜，花陷 疮，并风眼痼眼，红涩羞明眵泪。
芦甘石（ 、一两） 头号药（三钱） 共研极细用。
灵光散 治外障 疮，攀睛 肉，蚬肉蟹睛，俱宜点之。
芦甘石（ 、一两） 灵药（一钱、重者或二三钱）
共研极细末，必须调点患处少许，将目久闭，候痛止药性散尽方可拨去，用绢
拭去令净，以热水洗之。
凡病重者连点七日，眼胞发肿，方可歇药。避风调理，七日看患处有病再点。
但此药最痛，若要除病，须耐心方效。 疮蚬肉，重者点净灵药少许，将目久闭，
性退之后，化而为眵。虚弱者不可点。
点翳方 用萝卜子一粒研细去壳，以灯草蘸唾津调点翳上，不过一二次即落。

升灵药法
水银（一两）枯矾 焰硝（各一两六钱）
先将硝石和枯矾共同研细，放入两个小铁锅内，用鹅毛翎扫圆，上面用手指按压出五个孔，呈梅花状，将水银均匀分放在其中。上面盖一个粗碗，周围用湿棉纸捻封口，再加研细的软石膏按紧在碗底上，上面用大铁锤压住，在风火炉上用微火煨烧两炷香的时间，只要石膏有气体冒出，就继续压紧，再加武火煨烧一炷香，取出冷却后，刮下研磨收藏。
升黄灵药加入宫粉一两六钱。
升紫灵药加入陀僧一两六钱，火候宜小。
升白灵药法
生铅 水银（各一两）硼砂（三钱）
先将铅熔化后加入水银，立即取出研成粉末，再加入硼砂共同研磨备用。食盐、火硝、枯矾各五钱。
先将盐、硝、矾三味药共同研磨一处，下锅炒炼至干，再研细分作两份，取羊城罐将一份装在下层，将汞、铅、硼装在中间层，再将另一份装在上层，用铁盏盖住罐口，用铁梁压住；用铁线扎紧，用软石膏细末封住接口阴干，炉中用三根铁钉作为三足，将罐置于其上，先文火后武火煨烧三炷香，取出冷却后打开查看，刮下研磨细末使用。如果罐口有烟冒出，用新笔蘸水涂抹。
炉甘石法 选取洁白、质轻且敲击有声的炉甘石，捶打成黄豆大小，用竹纸包裹四五层，用线捆扎成圆形，外用紫土与新绵捶匀，包裹在内约一指厚为圆球，阴干三五天，收在干净处等待干燥，将干时用线络挂在屋檐前晒至极干透。选择吉日，用铁线捆绑数道，平地上砌砖炉，留门扇通风，炉中用三根大钉作为足，将炭火将球悬于炉上炙烤一炷香，方可下炉。三炷香时间，先取一小缸童子尿，加入黄连、黄柏、黄芩各六钱，浸泡半天后过滤澄清，将球徐徐放入童子尿内浸泡一夜，取出研磨细末，用水飞法处理，再研磨备用。
八宝散 治疗各种外障翳膜，花陷疮，以及风眼、顽固性眼病，红肿涩痛、羞明流泪。
炉甘石（煅，一两）头号药（三钱）共同研磨极细使用。
灵光散 治疗外障疮，攀睛胬肉，蚬肉蟹睛，都适宜点用。
炉甘石（煅，一两）灵药（一钱，重症者可用二三钱）
共同研磨成极细末，必须调少量点在患处，将眼睛久闭，待疼痛停止、药性散尽后方可拨开，用绢布擦拭干净，用热水清洗。

Huanglian Ointment
Calamine (calcined, 2 liang) Stone Crab (2 qian) Amber Pearl Bear Bile (each 1 qian) Borneol (2 fen) Musk (3 fen)
First, take two stalks of sugarcane, peel them, and cut into thin slices. Boil in 4-5 bowls of clear water until reduced to 2 bowls. Crush the dregs, extract juice, and filter clearly. Add 2 liang of Sichuan Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), boil until reduced to 1 bowl, remove dregs and filter cleanly. Add 2 liang of Sichuan Honey, boil again until reduced to slightly more than half a bowl. Mix with the aforementioned medicines, grind until no sound of particles is heard.
Mijing Tusizi Pill
Treats internal eye disorders causing blurred vision and nebulae, deficiency of Kidney Qi, vertigo, tinnitus. Lassitude of four limbs, nocturnal emission during dreams.
Huai Yam (7 parts mashed) Poria Cocos Lotus Seed Flesh (each 2 liang) Dodder Seed (boiled with cake, 5 liang)
Use Yam paste mixed with honey to form pills. Take 3 qian with salted water on an empty stomach and before sleep.
Mingmu Yeguang Pill (from Zhang Zhonghuan's "Strange Formulas for Treating Eyes")

Form pills with refined honey. Take 3 qian with warm water on an empty stomach.
Shenxiao Eye Medicine
Buckthorn Seed (preferably white upper part, remove all oil, 2 qian) Borneol (1 fen) Borax (3 qian) Real Buffalo Gallstone Musk (each 5 li)
Grind together extremely finely. Dip a bone needle to apply to the eyes.
Shengling Medicine Method
Mercury (1 liang) Calcined Alum Fire Saltpeter (each 1.6 liang)
First, grind Saltpeter and Calcined Alum finely together. Put into two small iron pots. Sweep round with a goose feather. Press five holes on top with fingers like a plum blossom pattern. Divide Mercury evenly inside. Cover with a coarse bowl. Seal around with wet cotton paper twists. Press fine soft Gypsum firmly on the bottom of the bowl. Press down with a large iron hammer. Heat gently over a wind stove for two incense sticks' time. As soon as gas comes out from the gypsum, press harder. Then heat strongly for one incense stick's time. Remove, let cool, scrape off, grind, and store.
Shenghuang Ling Medicine: Add Gongfen (Lead Subacetate) 1.6 liang.
Shengzi Ling Medicine: Add Tuo Seng (Turquoise) 1.6 liang. Fire should be mild.
Shengbai Ling Medicine Method
Raw Lead Mercury (each 1 liang) Borax (3 qian)
First melt Lead, add Mercury, immediately remove and grind into powder. Then add Borax and grind together for use. Salt, Fire Saltpeter, Calcined Alum (each 5 qian).
First, grind Salt, Saltpeter, and Alum together. Stir-fry in a pot until dry. Grind finely and divide into two parts. Take a Yangcheng jar. Put one part at the bottom. Put Mercury, Lead, and Borax in the middle. Put the other part on top. Cover the jar mouth with an iron lid. Press with an iron beam. Tie tightly with iron wire. Seal joints with fine soft Gypsum powder. Dry in shade. Place three iron nails in the furnace as feet. Place the jar on top. First gentle fire, then strong fire for three incense sticks' time. Remove, let cool, open, scrape off, grind finely for use. If smoke comes out of the jar mouth, paint with water using a new brush.
Calamine Method
Select white, light, and resonant Calamine. Pound into soybean-sized pieces. Wrap in bamboo paper 4-5 layers. Tie round with thread. Wrap externally with Purple Earth and new cotton beaten evenly. Wrap internally to about one finger thickness as a sphere. Dry in shade for 3-5 days. Store in a clean place until dry. When nearly dry, hang with a thread under the eaves to sun-dry thoroughly. Choose an auspicious day. Bind with iron wire several times. Build a brick furnace on flat ground, leave door for ventilation. Use three large nails in the furnace as feet. Suspend the ball over charcoal fire for one incense stick's time, then remove from furnace. For three incense sticks' time: First, take a small vat of child's urine. Add Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) each 6 qian. Soak for half a day, filter clearly. Slowly immerse the ball in the child's urine overnight. Remove, grind finely, process by water flotation (Shuifei), then grind for use.
Babao Powder
Treats various external nebulae and membranes, Hua Xian Chuang (flower-depressed sores), and wind-eye stubborn eye diseases, redness, astringency, photophobia, and tearing.
Calamine (calcined, 1 liang) Touhao Medicine (3 qian) Grind extremely finely for use.
Lingguang Powder
Treats external sores, Panning Ningrou (pterygium/fleshy growth), Xianrou Xiejing (clam-meat crab-eye conditions). Suitable for application.
Calamine (calcined, 1 liang) Ling Medicine (1 qian, severe cases 2-3 qian)
Grind into extremely fine powder. Must mix a small amount and apply to the affected area. Keep eyes closed for a long time. Wait until pain stops and medicinal properties dissipate before opening. Wipe clean with silk cloth. Wash with hot water.
For severe cases, apply continuously for seven days. Eyelids will swell, then stop medication. Avoid wind and regulate diet. After seven days, if disease remains, apply again.
This medicine causes the most pain. To cure the disease, patience is required for efficacy. For sores and clam-meat conditions, severe cases apply a little Ling Medicine. Keep eyes closed. After properties subside, it transforms into discharge. Weak patients should not apply.
Dianyi Formula
Take one Radish Seed, grind finely, remove shell. Dip rush grass in saliva, mix, and apply to the nebula. It will fall off within one or two applications.
