Whenever one is poisoned by Caowu (Aconitum carmichaeli lateral root), Chuanwu (Aconitum carmichaeli lateral root), Tianxiong (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata), or Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata), the heart becomes restless and stifled, and in severe cases, the head feels heavy and dizzy, the whole body turns black, leading to death. (From *Yimen*)
Whenever excessive medication leads to toxic diseases, symptoms include a head swollen like a bucket, cracked lips bleeding, chest fullness and oppression, or cramping pain around the navel and abdomen; these are all signs of drug poisoning.
The *Maijue* states: For those poisoned by various medicines, if the pulse is surging and large, life can be saved; if the pulse is faint and fine, death ensues.
It further states: If the pulse is surging, large, and slow, life can be saved; if the pulse is faint, fine, and rapid, death ensues. Decoctions for resolving drug poison should not be taken hot but should be drunk cool, because heat intensifies the poison's effect. However, this applies to clearing heat-toxins. If one has ingested cold-natured substances like Muguaizi (Strychnos sebifera seed), fungi, Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), or Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) causing yin-poison, should one still avoid heat and insist on cold drinks?
When poisoned by mutually antagonistic drugs, the face turns cyanotic, the pulse disappears, the abdomen distends, and hematemesis occurs. Can'tingzhi (Paper from silkworm cocoons), burned to ash and ground into powder, taken as one qian mixed with cold water, can save even critical cases and restore life.
For poisoning by Caowu, Chuanwu, Tianxiong, or Fuzi (From *Yimen*): Decoct Lüdou (Mung Bean) and Heidou (Black Soybean) juice and take it cold. (Heidou refers to horse-feed soybeans).
Another prescription: Take Fangfeng-Gancao Tang (Saposhnikovia and Licorice Decoction) after freezing it; it calms immediately upon entry.
Another prescription: Decoct Gancao (Licorice Root) and Heidou (Black Soybean) thickly and drink the liquid.
Chuanjiao (Zanthoxylum bungeanum fruit) is toxic, injuring the throat and causing qi obstruction nearing death (From *Yimen*). Eating three Jujubes (Da Zao) resolves it.
Excessive use of Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu) causes restlessness (From *Yimen*). Shexiang (Moschus), amounting to "one character" measure, mixed with water and drunk resolves it.
To resolve poisons of all medicines: Crush Lüdou (Mung Bean), decoct together with Gancao (Licorice Root), and take orally.
Accidental ingestion of Badou (Crotonis Fructus) causing thirst, red face, five-palm heat, and unceasing diarrhea: Huilian (Coptidis Rhizoma), one qian, decocted and taken, resolves it immediately.
Another prescription: Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) juice resolves it immediately.
Another prescription: Xiaodou (Adzuki Bean) juice resolves it immediately.
Another prescription: Huo (Agastache rugosa) juice resolves it immediately.
Another prescription: Dadou (Soybean) juice resolves it immediately.
Zhaojian (Vitriol) poisoning: Immediately take one bowl of Quhu (Fermented grain paste) and ingest it.
To rescue from poisoning by Xionghuang (Realgar) and Banchao (Mylabris): In the morning, decoct Ma liaodou (Horse-feed soybean) juice and ingest it.
Whenever external application medicines contain Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide), and the affected area becomes painful or ulcerates: Apply wet mud frequently and replace it. If the toxic vapor enters the abdomen, causing distress in the chest and diaphragm, or vomiting and diarrhea, drinking one or two cups of rice vinegar cooled in ice water will stop it; taking more is also acceptable. Taking raw Lüdou (Mung Bean) powder mixed with Mayou (Sesame Oil) is also effective.
External application of Xionghuang (Realgar) causing confusion, vomiting, or diarrhea: Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix) decocted in soup resolves it.
Ingestion of Chuanwu, Caowu, etc., causing confusion, salivation, coma, vomiting, hematemesis, or hematochezia: Use any one of Dadadou (Large Black Soybean), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), or Gancao (Licorice Root), decoct in soup to resolve it. Generally, excessive intake of wind-dispelling drugs can be treated with these methods. If ineffective, urgently use Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) juice and Gancao (Licorice Root) to resolve it.
External application of Badou (Crotonis Fructus) causing local pain and muscle ulceration: Apply raw Huilian (Coptidis Rhizoma) powder mixed with water externally to resolve it immediately. If the toxin enters internally causing vomiting and diarrhea, take one or two qian mixed with water orally; Xiaodou (Adzuki Bean), Dadou (Soybean), or Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) juice are also suitable.
Internal absorption of toxicity from external application of Lilü (Veratrum nigrum): Decoct Congtang (Scallion soup) to resolve it.
To resolve poisons of various drugs: Instill Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) juice.
Another prescription: Instill Qicai (Shepherd's Purse) juice. Instill Yitang (Maltose) juice. Instill Baibian Dou (White Hyacinth Bean) juice. Instill Mitang (Rice Syrup) juice.
To resolve poisoning by all medicinal herbs: Decoct Gancao (Licorice Root) thickly and drink it; survival is assured. Consuming a small amount of honey afterward is even better.
