Miraculous Prescription for Bone Trough Wind and Dental Gangrene
Take the white, dried cat feces that have been stored for many years on the roof of an ancient temple. Roast them on a Yin-Yang tile until they retain their medicinal properties (Cun Xing). For every qian (approx. 3.7g) of this material, add 2 fen (approx. 0.74g) of Borneol (Bingpian), grind into a fine powder, and store in a sealed container. Before each use, rinse the mouth thoroughly with strong Songluo tea, then insufflate the powder onto the ulcerated and necrotic areas. This will promote tissue regeneration and wound closure naturally.
Feng Luzhan stated: "Chong Yin" (Double Gingiva) refers to the condition where, at birth, a swelling protrudes from the area adhering to the gums. This condition arises because the Spleen and Stomach harbor heat, preventing the Qi and Blood from consolidating. The treatment should promptly involve wrapping a long needle with cotton thread, exposing the tip, and pricking the swollen area to drain the evil blood; the swelling will subside. If it recurs, prick again; otherwise, it will hinder nursing. Ultimately, after birth, if the Qi and Blood consolidate to form blood, the oral cavity, tongue, throat, and cheeks remain clean. If the Qi and Blood fail to consolidate, fetal toxins attack upward, resulting in this condition. (From *Jinnang*)
Feng Luzhan stated: Males begin teething at eight months and change teeth at eight years old; females begin teething at seven months and change teeth at seven years old. Delayed teething is due to insufficient congenital Kidney Qi and weak Marrow. Teeth are considered the surplus of bones; bones connect to generate Marrow. Insufficient Marrow cannot ascend to nourish the teeth, causing delayed eruption. If one can regulate Qi and Blood, consolidate the root, and restore primordial vitality, teeth will grow naturally, and bone strength will become firm and consolidated. (From *Jinnang*)
Method for Promoting Teething (by Patriarch Qi)
Dorsal vertebrae of a male rat (the entire spine; do not use other bones, tail, head, or meat. Roast on a new tile until dry, but do not burn to charcoal; preserve its vital energy.)
Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shu Dihuang) (Must be personally excavated as fresh Rehmannia Root using a bamboo tool, cooked in a clay vessel, dried by keeping it close to the body, then ground into powder. Dosage: 3 qian. If purchased market Rehmannia has been pierced with iron needles, it will be ineffective.)
Northern Asarum (Beixixin)
Elm Bark (Yupishu) (Both: 3 fen)
Blue Vitriol / Copper Sulfate (Qingyan) (2 qian)
Eucommia Bark (Duzhong)
Angelica Sinensis (Danggui) (Both: 1 qian)
Avoid contact with iron vessels. Grind all ingredients together into a fine powder. Store in a porcelain bottle. At the fifth watch (early morning, approx. 1-3 AM), without making any sound, gently rub this medicine onto the edentulous area thirty-six times. Allow the patient to swallow the medicine. Do not rinse the mouth with water. Continue this for one month. Rubbing during midday is also effective, following the same count, but avoid any contact with iron, as it renders the remedy ineffective.
Method for Regrowth of Fallen Teeth
Grind Alum (Danfan) into a fine powder. Mix with human milk and apply into the tooth socket three to four times daily. Rinse thoroughly with freshly drawn water each time. After a prolonged period, the tooth will regrow.
