【中暑泻之症】时值夏秋之令，忽然腹痛，烦闷口渴，板齿干焦，暴泻粪水，肠鸣飧泄，
痛泻交作，此暑热之症也。
【中暑泻之因】火令当权，天之热气下降，地之湿气上升，暑湿之气，充塞宇内，人感
热淫之邪，伤于肠胃，暑泻作矣。
【中暑泻之脉】虚细中暑，洪滑中热，濡散暑湿，促结郁热。
【中暑泻之治】宜清理暑湿，分利阴阳，脉虚细，藿香参橘煎，调服六一散，脉洪滑热重者，
黄连香薷饮，调服六一散，热轻者，木通汤，调下六一散。胸次不舒，平胃六一散。

【中热泻之症】发热口渴，唇干齿燥，面赤烦躁，小便赤涩，小腹中一泛即泻，一泻
即止。少顷复痛后泻，肛门如火，粪色多黄，此火热泻症也。
【中热泻之因】热淫以胜，湿火炎蒸，积热之人，又中邪热，则中热泄泻作矣。

【中暑泻的症状】正值夏秋季节，突然腹痛，心烦闷乱、口渴，牙齿干燥焦枯，突发腹泻排出粪水，肠鸣音亢进并伴有完谷不化（飧泄），疼痛与腹泻交替发作，这是暑热病证。
【中暑泻的病因】火气当令，天上的热气下降，地上的湿气上升，暑湿之气充满天地之间，人感受了热邪过盛的病邪，损伤肠胃，于是中暑性腹泻就发生了。
【中暑泻的脉象】脉象虚细属于中暑，脉象洪滑属于中热，脉象濡散属于暑湿，脉象促结属于郁热。
【中暑泻的治疗】应当清理暑湿，分利阴阳。若脉象虚细，用藿香参橘煎，配合调服六一散；若脉象洪滑且热重者，用黄连香薷饮，配合调服六一散；若热轻者，用木通汤，配合调下六一散。若胸膈部感觉不舒畅，用平胃六一散。
藿香参橘煎：人参、橘红、藿香。三味药一同煎煮。
黄连香薷饮：黄连、香薷、浓朴、扁豆、甘草。
平胃六一散：苍术、浓朴、陈皮、甘草、滑石。
【中热泻的症状】发热、口渴，嘴唇干燥、牙齿焦燥，面色发红、烦躁不安，小便颜色深黄且排尿涩痛，小腹中稍有胀感即发生腹泻，一泻即止。过了一会儿又感到疼痛随后腹泻，肛门灼热如火，粪便颜色多为黄色，这是火热性质的腹泻病证。
【中热泻的病因】热邪过盛，湿热之火炎蒸，体内本有积热的人，又感受了邪热，于是中热性泄泻就发生了。

[Symptoms of Summerheat Diarrhea] During the summer and autumn seasons, sudden abdominal pain occurs, accompanied by mental restlessness, thirst, dry and scorched teeth, acute diarrhea with watery stools, borborygmus (intestinal rumbling) with undigested food in stool (Sunxie), alternating pain and diarrhea. This is a syndrome of summerheat-heat.
[Etiology of Summerheat Diarrhea] When the fire element dominates, the hot qi of heaven descends, and the damp qi of earth ascends. The qi of summerheat and dampness fills the universe. Humans contract the pathogen of excessive heat, damaging the stomach and intestines, thus causing summerheat diarrhea.
[Pulse of Summerheat Diarrhea] A deficient and fine pulse indicates summerheat; a surging and slippery pulse indicates middle-heat; a soggy and scattered pulse indicates summerheat-dampness; a rapid and intermittent pulse indicates stagnant heat.
[Treatment of Summerheat Diarrhea] It is appropriate to clear summerheat and dampness, and separate yin and yang. If the pulse is deficient and fine, use Huoxiang Shanju Decoction (Huo Xiang Shen Ju Jian) taken with Liuyi San (Six-to-One Powder). If the pulse is surging and slippery with severe heat, use Huanglian Xiangru Yin (Coptis and Mosla Drink) taken with Liuyi San. If the heat is mild, use Mutong Tang (Akebia Decoction) taken with Liuyi San. If there is discomfort in the chest region, use Pingwei Liuyi San.
Huoxiang Shanju Decoction: Renshen (Ginseng Root), Juhong (Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae), Huoxiang (Patchouli Herb). Decoct the three ingredients together.
Huanglian Xiangru Yin: Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Xiangru (Mosla Herb), Nongpu (Magnolia Bark), Biandou (Lablab Seed), Gancao (Licorice Root).
Pingwei Liuyi San: Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), Nongpu (Magnolia Bark), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Gancao (Licorice Root), Huashi (Talcum).
[Symptoms of Middle-Heat Diarrhea] Fever and thirst, dry lips and scorched teeth, flushed face and irritability, dark and scanty or painful urination. Slight distension in the lower abdomen triggers immediate diarrhea, which stops once it begins. After a short while, pain returns followed by diarrhea. The anus feels burning like fire, and the stool color is mostly yellow. This is a diarrhea syndrome caused by fire-heat.
[Etiology of Middle-Heat Diarrhea] Excessive heat prevails, and damp-fire flares and steams. Individuals with accumulated internal heat who contract pathogenic heat will develop middle-heat diarrhea.

[Treatment of Middle-Heat Diarrhea] If heat is in the exterior, use Chaige Qinlian Tang (Bupleurum and Pueraria Scutellaria Coptis Decoction). If heat is in the interior, use Jiami Zhike Huanglian Tang (Secret Formula Magnolia Bark and Coptis Decoction) or Jiami Mutong Huangqin Tang (Secret Formula Akebia and Scutellaria Decoction)...

Jiami Zhike Huanglian Tang: Chuanlian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Gancao (Licorice Root).
Bazheng San (Eight-Herb Powder): Qumai (Dianthi Herba), Huashi (Talcum), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Lvxing (Polygoni Avicularis Herba), Gancao (Licorice Root), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), Shanzhi (Gardeniae Fructus), Chi Fuling (Poria with Hostwood). Add Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) if purgation is indicated.
