Apply medication around the periphery of the lesion. Huadu Sanxue Badu San (Detoxifying, Blood-Invigorating, and Toxin-Pulling Powder) treats various malignant sores and jiaoji disease (foot qi).
Chishao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae), Neixiao (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus, i.e., Zhebeimu), Jiaolian (Abutilonis Indici Herba, i.e., Jinxian Diaofurong), Heche (Plantaginis Seed, here referring to the herb Qiancaocao), Beixixin (Radix Asari) — each 3 liang; Guiwei (Radix Angelicae Sinensis Tail), Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), Chantui (Cicadae Periostracum), Wujia Pi (Acanthopanacis Cortex) — each 2 liang.
If the swelling does not subside with external application, add this formula for application, which will cause it to dissipate.
Nanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma), Heshouwu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix), Zihuadiding (Viola Yedoensis), Wuyegen (Pentapodi Agarici Caulis), Beimu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus), Caowu (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Furong Ye (Hibisci Mutabilis Folium, those harvested in autumn are usable), Chige Gen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix), Yejiaoogen (Zanthoxyli Radix, use only the bark after removing the woody core), and double the amount of Wujia Pi.
Grind all the above into a fine powder. Apply externally mixed with fresh ginger (including the dregs) and vinegar. If rapid dissipation is desired, apply garlic together urgently; the toxic vapors will be expelled, yielding immediate effect.
For constipation of the zang-fu organs, take internally: Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, remove the white pith and stir-fry), Huomazi (Cannabis Semen). For difficulty in urination, add Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), Dengcao (Junci Medullae), Chishao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Chifuling (Poria with Red Host). If the condition involves coldness, add Biba (Long Pepper Fruit) and Liangjiang (Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma).
The preceding formula specifically treats Hongxiangjiao (Hong Kong foot/foot qi caused by cold-dampness), Fabei (back carbuncle), all kinds of malignant sores and boils, and various types of swelling and toxicity. Application causes immediate dissipation and relieves pain. Taking this medicine greatly promotes the gentle transformation of the disease. Since the pathology is located in the lower part, take it before going to bed. After one or two doses, the swelling will completely subside.
For various sores and boils, puncture them when they first appear to cause dissipation.
Hao Duanshi (Calcined Alumen, not over-fired, smoked with Gleditsia Sinensis), Nuomi (Oryza Sativa Glutinosa, stir-fried with Nanxing, Danggui, and Chishao), Sha (if used to remove the head of a ding sore, add only this ingredient, others are not needed), Shaguniu (Mylabris, often referred to as Banmao in some contexts but distinct here, likely a specific insect remedy), Banmao (Mylabris Phalerata).
Boil the aforementioned ashes in hot water, filter the juice, and boil down the filtrate to mix with the previously mentioned medicinal powder.
Zhen Duanshi (True Calcined Alumen), Sangchaihui (Ash from Mulberry branches), Zhimahui (Sesame ash), Liuchaihui (Ash from Willow branches), Zaorao (Gleditsia Sinensis) three or four pieces.
Pour the ash juice into a pot and simmer slowly. Stop heating when a white frost appears on the surface of the liquid. Store in a container. It can be used to mix with the previous medicines. Apply gently to the affected area three to five times. When the skin breaks and toxic fluids emerge, stop.
Xiudu Zhutong (Poison-Sucking Bamboo Tube): Treats Fabei, yongju (abscesses and ulcers), dingchuang (carbuncles), and swelling/toxicity. Use this method to extract pus, blood, and foul fluids.
Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), Bailian (Belamcandae Rhizoma), Wu Pi (Bark of certain trees, context-specific), Nongpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex), Aiye (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), Hao Chaye (Good Tea Buds), Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma), Baijili (Tribuli Fructus) — equal parts.
Method: Select three to seven bitter bamboo tubes, one cun in length. Leave one end with the node intact. Scrape off the green outer layer until thin as paper. Choose according to the size of the lesion. Then boil the bamboo tubes with the aforementioned herbs (or soak them in the decoction to absorb toxins). Alternatively, pull them off by hand and replace with another bamboo tube. Repeat this three to five times until the poison is fully eliminated. Then apply flesh-generating medicine. Once filled, cover with a plaster ointment for healing.
