饮用冷冻饮料以泻肝火,使其大量排泄;

如果除去了胬肉,就不要钩割;
如果有胬肉,应当使用钩割也是很好的。
承泣穴和睛明穴是必须选取的穴位,
对于风牵引起的眼睑跳动,不要针刺其他穴位。

[Chapter 42: External Obstruction with Protruding Eye]
When the eye is first afflicted, it is often due to intermittent pain attacks. This is primarily caused by toxic wind in the five zang organs, leading to protrusion of the eyeball. This condition should not be treated with acupuncture, hooking, or cutting surgeries. It is only suitable to administer Tui Re Jie Geng Yin Zi (Heat-Relieving Platycodon Decoction) and Huan Jing Wan (Eye-Recovery Pill). If one wishes for a stable recovery, the affected area can be pricked with a needle; once green fluid flows out, the eye will return to its normal state.
The poem states:
Suddenly pain arises and the eye protrudes,
As heat from the five zang organs encounters toxic wind.
Drinking cold beverages purges the liver qi, causing massive discharge;
Swallowing pills and powders gradually restores clarity of vision.
Do not rush to seek stability;
After pricking out green saliva, do not pick at it.
If the protrusion recurs, prick three to five more times,
And the eye wheel will flatten, resembling its original state.
Tui Re Jie Geng Yin Zi (Heat-Relieving Platycodon Decoction)
Ingredients: Jie Geng (Platycodonis Radix), Chong Wei Zi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Semen), Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Hei Shen (Adenophorae Radix), Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulfas) (each 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above herbs into powder. Take 1 qian of the powder, add 1 cup of water, and decoct until reduced to 0.5 cup. Strain and take warm after meals.
Huan Jing Wan (Eye-Recovery Pill)
Ingredients: Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix), Chong Wei Zi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Semen), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Gan Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), Fu Ling (Poria), Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (each 1 liang); Che Qian Zi (Plantaginis Semen) (1.5 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above herbs into powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 10 pills on an empty stomach with tea.
[Chapter 43: External Obstruction with Wind-Pulled Deviation]
When this eye disease first occurs, it is often due to kidney deficiency and exhaustion, immoderate sexual activity, stagnation and toxicity in the spleen and stomach, excessive salivation during sleep, and insufficiency of liver qi. This leads to unnoticed stroke, resulting in deviation of the mouth and eye, redness and itching in the eyelids, and frequent pulling sensations in the temporal region. It is appropriate to use fire needles to induce tearing and to puncture the Jingming (BL1) acupoint. If there is pterygium (Nu Rou), follow standard procedures for hooking and cauterization. If there is no pterygium, hooking and cutting are not suitable; instead, only administer Ling Yang Jiao Yin Zi (Antelope Horn Decoction) and massage with Mo Feng Gao (Wind-Moving Ointment).
The poem states:
Wind-pulled deviation causes the mouth and eye to skew,
Tears flow endlessly, seemingly helpless.
After the decoction removes wind-toxicity,
Apply and massage with Wind-Moving Ointment.
If the pterygium is removed, do not hook or cut;
If present, using hooking and cutting is also excellent.
Chengqi (ST1) and Jingming (BL1) must be the selected acupoints;
For wind-pulled eyelid twitching, do not needle other points.
Ling Yang Jiao Yin Zi (Antelope Horn Decoction)
Ingredients: Ling Yang Jiao (Saiga Tataricae Cornu), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), Fu Ling (Poria) (each 1 liang); Huang Qi (Astragali Radix), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Chong Wei Zi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Semen) (each 1.5 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above herbs into powder. Take 1 qian of the powder, add 1 cup of water, and decoct until reduced to 0.5 cup. Strain and take warm after meals.
Mo Feng Gao (Wind-Moving Ointment)
Ingredients: Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Hei Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Ben Cao (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Gu Sui Bu (Drynariae Rhizoma) (each 1 liang); Chuan Wu (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix), Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix), Rou Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) (each 1.5 liang); Zhu Zhi (Porcine Adipose Tissue) (0.5 jin); Niu Su (Bovine Marrow/Butter) and E Zhi (Anseris Adipose Tissue) (each 4 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above herbs into powder. Soak the herb powder in 0.5 jin of Sesame Oil (Ma You) for one night and one day. Decoct over alternating mild and strong heat until it becomes an ointment consistency.
