Shijia (Stone Mass) occurs after menstruation, when cold pathogen enters the vaginal orifice and lodges in the uterus, causing blood to coagulate and fail to circulate. Consequently, the abdomen gradually enlarges, resembling pregnancy. In women with robust constitution, after half a year, as their qi and strength recover, it may resolve spontaneously without treatment. However, in those with weak constitution, it will inevitably develop into distension and swelling; Jia Wei Wen Jing Tang (Modified Warming the Meridian Decoction) is indicated.
Jia Wei Wen Jing Tang (Modified Warming the Meridian Decoction)
Dangguiwei (Tail of Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chishao (Red Peony Root), Chuanniuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Rougui (Cinnamon Twig), Ezhu (Curcumae Rhizoma, vinegar-processed), Pogu Zhi (Cibotii Rhizoma, salt-water fried), Xiaohui Xiang (Foeniculi Fructus), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma, quadruple-processed), Wuyao (Linderae Radix, stir-fried), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 1 qian), Gancao (Licorice Root) (0.5 qian).
Use three slices of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) as a guiding drug, decoct in water, and take orally.
The Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) and Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) both originate from the uterus and are regarded as the "Sea of Blood." When cold pathogen attacks them, blood becomes stagnant and fails to flow, resulting in the formation of masses (Zha) accompanied by pain. If the stagnation is temporary and the root of the disease is not yet firmly established, Jichuan Jian (Decoction for Crossing the River) is indicated.
Jichuan Jian (Decoction for Crossing the River)
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (3 qian), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (each 2 qian), Wuyao (Linderae Radix, stir-fried), Rougui (Cinnamon Twig) (each 1 qian), Taoren (Pruni Persicae Semen) (7 grains, pounded into paste).
Decoct two zhong of water until reduced to eight fen, and take before meals.
Changqin (Intestinal Polyp/Mass) also results from cold pathogen entering the vaginal orifice during menstruation and lodging in the large intestine, causing blood coagulation. Although menstruation occurs, the blood volume is scant. The abdomen gradually enlarges, resembling pregnancy, commonly known in folk terms as Tainlou (Fetal Leakage). In robust women, it may resolve spontaneously within half a year; in weak women, it will inevitably lead to fullness and distension. Guizhi Tao Ren Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Peach Kernel Decoction) is indicated.
Guizhi Tao Ren Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Peach Kernel Decoction)
Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, stir-fried), Baishao (White Peony Root), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens) (each 1.5 qian), Zhigancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root) (0.5 qian), Taoren (Pruni Persicae Semen) (30 grains, pounded into paste).
Use three slices of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) and two dates (Zao), decoct in water, and take on an empty stomach.
In girls aged thirteen or fourteen, when Tian Gui (menstrual fluid) has begun but suddenly stops, or if there is fever, pain, restlessness, bitter taste in the mouth, flushed face, alternating chills and fever, dizziness, and blurred vision, this is due to obstruction of the blood vessels. Shu Jing Tang (Decoction for Unblocking the Meridians) and He Qi Wan (Harmonizing Qi Pill) are the primary treatments.
Shu Jing Tang (Decoction for Unblocking the Meridians)
Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (0.7 qian), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Sharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus), Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (each 1 qian), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma) (1.2 qian).
Use three slices of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) and three stalks of Congbai (Scallion White), decoct in water, and take hot on an empty stomach.
If there is no heat or pain, reduce the dosage of Qianghuo and Guizhi by half, and add Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) and Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) each 1 qian. If blood attacks causing heart pain, add Ganxi (dried knee joint, stir-fried until smoke ceases) and Yuanhusuo (Corydalis Rhizoma) each 0.3 qian. If there is cough with phlegm and shortness of breath, add Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, processed), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, peeled and core removed), and Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) each 0.3 qian.
He Qi Wan (Harmonizing Qi Pill)

Grind all ingredients into powder, form pills with honey, or prepare as a powder. Take 2 qian per dose, swallowed with plain warm water on an empty stomach.
If there are no chills or fever, remove Caoguo and Huoxiang.
