When the intestine prolapses before the fetus during labor, with the fetus following later, one should first calm the parturient's mind and avoid panic. Use a clean basin or lacquer vessel to support the prolapsed intestine, soak it in a decoction of *Phellodendri Cortex* (Huangbo) or *Aurantii Fructus* (Zhiqiao), or maintain it with warm water.
